Had the Dragon betrayed their alliance
...The Chinese allied with the Mongols. Bastards.

Probably had to because of the civil war. But it doesn't make me happy at all. God Damn it China. This will spare you from them for now. But not forever. Not after we force them from Europe for the next several centuries.

What do you mean? There won't be any mongols left when we're done kicking their asses.

Edit: and if there are, they'll be our bitch.

Wait we can actually Genocide them?

Hell yeah.

Also, I know you said Vasiliy wouldn't rule an independent Russia. However, his eldest son, who can solidify our hold on the Steppes and Eastern Europe via his brothers, is married to the eldest daughter of the Emperor.

With so much territory, would it be possible for Vasiliy's son to become the Eastern Emperor, much as how old Rome (much much smaller than the current empire) was split into East and West?

Technically, we can, but it's not very likely considering they might run into China and escape our wrath.

So don't count on it.

Someone else can continue the quest and do that then, I'm stepping out once the War's done to work on other things.

This is a great chance to inflict even more casualties and shred their morale even further. Push the pursuit to the limit. We want to inflict enough bloodshed and torment and fear on the Mongols that generations from now they will quiver in fear at the mere mention of 'Russia', that they will think of it with the bowel-loosening terror that a devout Catholic of this time thinks of the deepest layer of Hell itself!

FORWARD, MEN OF RUSSIA!
IN THE NAME OF THE THOUSANDS OF OUR PEOPLE THEY HAVE MURDERED!
IN THE NAME OF THE THOUSANDS OF OUR COUNTRYMEN WHO STILL LIVE!
IN THE NAME OF THOSE STILL TO BE BORN, THAT THEY MAY LIVE FREE OF THE MONGOL CURSE!
IN THE NAME OF VASILY AND ZIMA!
IN THE NAME OF THE RODINA!

FORWARD!
HUNT THEM DOWN NOT LIKE MEN BUT LIKE THE SLINKING CURS THEY ARE!
NO FORGIVENESS!
NO FEAR!
NO MERCY!
NO PRISONERS!!!!

Once again, our rolls are just glorious. Let's kill as many as we can before they inevitably escape. Not sure how I feel about them breaking so quickly - on one hand that was awesome, but we were dominating the battle and probably could have killed considerably more had it stretched out for longer.

Eh. I'll take Vassily going down in legend as torturing the enemy leader to death in front of his entire army after shattering his sword in a single stroke over maximizing our K/D ratio, because that was just so Russian I'm honestly surprised he wasn't swigging Vodka the whole time, and pouring it on the khan's wounds to extend his suffering.

The center is retreating in some sort of order, only the left is routing. So most of our force will have to make a more methodical pursuit and only the right can all out chase. How much cavalry do we have on our right? Is it strong enough to survive catching its quarry? Is it disciplined enough to all stop chasing at the right time?

Our infantry on the right is probably better forming up with our center rather than trying to chase down the routers or encircle the center - that way our artillery has maximum freedom to rake the enemy as they disengage.

This battle is not the whole war.

And Let The Dragon's Roar!: Center Tactical Roll:1D100 => 41+35=76 vs Enemy Roll: 1D100 => 2-5= (-)3
Enemy Commander kill roll: 1D100 => 100 vs 1D100 => 36

Fire Again!: Center Tactical Roll: 1D100 => 87+35=122 vs Enemy Roll:1D100 => 8-5=3

The Final roar: Center Artillery Tactical Roll 1D100 => 76+35=111 Vs Enemy Roll: 1D100 => 28-5=23
Enemy Commander Kill Roll: 1D100 => 82 vs 1D100 => 10
Hell, Blood and Iron: Center Artillery Tactical Roll 1D100 => 78+35=113 Vs Enemy Roll: 1D100 => 35
Enemy Rout roll: 1D100 => 91 vs 1D100 => 45
There was a time Mars was considered a god of war. Then Artillery was invented.
