@PoptartProdigy is the map up to date?
@PoptartProdigy did we get map update or was it ignored?
Been sleeping/busy. Working with Versharl to get it updated now. Free info, though: all of your neighbor clusters are still Rachni-held.
EDIT: Btw Poptart, you haven't changed the description for the Council under the Diplomacy->Attention tab:
I'm waiting on that until this event chain is done first.
If it's possible Can we send both our Fleet and Explorer Corps? One is a hammer meant to blunt the enemy, while the other is a knife that strikes with (relative) precession.
The Explorer Corps are not yet at a point where they can meaningfully contribute to a fleet battle. The proposed option using them has them acting as blockade runners, which in and of itself puts a lot of risk on them. Other than that, they're still not ready for fleet actions.
So, I'm going to ask
@PoptartProdigy, is there anything with a reasonable risk-reward balance our fledgling Explorer fleet could do to get us more advanced notice if the Rachni *did* come through Maroon and/or Hades Gamma during this op? Or does this necessarily involve jumping through those relays and being blown up inmediately?
Specifically the goal would be to get swift(er) notice to the battle and raiding fleets of any attack. Even by the sneaky Lystheni...
Hmm, now I'm thinking this is maybe similar to the 'raiding fleet recovery' stage of our Raiding doctrine? Attack an enemy held relay sufficiently to let an a friendly fleet (3RWF) come through? Would approaching it like that give us a higher chance of success, given our current doctrinal advantage? We know the 'window', it's 'now', right? Also, If we get to the relay, could we send a periodic stream of comms bouys through to let the 3RWF know we're engaged but holding the relay clear on the other side?
Not much, no. The option proposing their use is very much a Hail Mary. You could order them on scouting jumps. It would be tricky, mind.
And yes, there are many doctrinal similarities. You already are applying these lessons; that will be reflected in the battle to come (because at this point there's no use pretending the vote's going to turn any other way

). Comm buoys require both sending and receiving nodes, so with the rachni buoys now locked out, just carting along your own would just mean towing expensive and delicate hardware into a combat zone.
Don't yet exist. If I've said they do somewhere, it was in error.
I assume Mira's going? Because I suspect we're gonna need that Martial 24
@PoptartProdigy , is there any chance of us getting that specific information about relative fleet sizes? Mira seems to have a rough idea of approximately the relative size of a "raiding fleet" to a "battle fleet," and she surely knows how large the Explorer Corps is.
Based on this knowledge, would the Explorer Corps represent a significant reinforcement
to the approximate size Mira estimates/projects for the quarian fleet? One that is likely to increase the number of their ships that make it through the relay, assuming the quarians are being hard-pressed?
Or is the Explorer Corps too small to make much of a difference, even as supporting escorts for a larger fleet?
Fleet sizes-
...*blink*
I- surely I- at some point- *checks*
...well, this is embarrassing. It's not exact, but a Raiding Fleet is
about half the size of a Battle Fleet. Slightly less than half, but only very slightly.
The Explorer Corps, on the other hand, is still militarily negligible. The first class of recruits after the pilot members is still in training, and their ships are still in production. At the moment, the current Corps is
maybe usable as blockade runners, and even that's dicey. Thus the option for using them being high risk.
