Speaking of Mage, it's the only gameline in which you can have a 'template stacking' of antagonist.
Mad Seer Banisher Reaper Lich Scelestus

Ring of thieves, con men, and smugglers who use magic to make sure things go off without a hitch. Bit illusive due to use of magic to aid heavily in transportation and disguise. Beliefs are effectively that as Mages they're above the laws of the Sleepers so therefore it is their right to take as they will from the masses. So they don't really target other Mages (on a more practical note Mages hit back a lot harder). They also avoid physically harming their marks if possible because in their view killing someone is unacceptable because anyone might possibly Awaken. Finally they're fairly mercenary, happy to do work for whoever pays them (including Sleepers who have found them one way or another), with the internal justification being that better they do the job smoothly instead of letting it go into the hands of someone less competent than them.Incidentally, that'd be another good chance/way to share. People who have ideas for Nameless Orders, whether in the past or present. I mean, despite being 'Nameless' they're not actually without names and identities and natures, necessarily. Obviously.
I just remembered that Banisher in 2e can means 'Mages who destroy magic(such as Logophages) for whatever reason, including 1e's "born" Banisher' so... yeah I can have a Mad Seer Banisher Reaper Lich ScelestusNo. That's invalid - you can't flag "Banisher" and "Seer" at the same time. And honestly, "Banisher Scelestus" is super-dubious whether a Banisher is capable of doing that (and not then killing themselves if they're tricked into it).
Otherwise (crossing Banisher out), that's just a Seer with a secret Abyss-worshipping Legacy that lets him eat human souls to extend his life, and the practice of soul-eating has driven him to be one of the Mad.
Cat's eye or Lupin as mages does sound like fun. Does that mean super sleuths are actually evil abyss thingies\spirits of law or truth\other mages or are they just competent Sleepers?Ring of thieves, con men, and smugglers who use magic to make sure things go off without a hitch. Not confident in ability to assign a precise Mythos for them beyond those tenants. Maybe something about how by relieving sleepers of material possessions they help push the sleeper towards enlightenment.
Haughty dicks but useful if you can get into contact with one because they tend to be very good at transportation, and even if the one you find doesn't work in that field he has buddies that might. Attitudes towards them tend to be fairly negative, because while they try to present themselves as morally correct they're still going around ruining people's lives for profit and/or fun.

Jeez, that sounds like one of those edgy anime vampire girls with too many names.

Why would you ever want to do that to yourself?
I posted the third and fourth chapters of The New Jersey Project on AO3, we still haven't got to the WoD parts yet, but that will happen in the fifth chapter (it's projected to have fifty chapters, so don't worry!)
Be forewarned, I give Chris Christie and Joss Whedon a good verbal thrashing in those chapters, as I do not like Chris Christie's ties to Donald Trump nor do I like the Firefly series (I feel it's overrated, one of my many unpopular opinions that earn me hate but I stand by my views on Joss Whedon's works), plus The New Jersey Project is a Crack Fic so it's supposed to be silly and stupid.
On a more related note, anybody ever consider converting any of the WoD games, Old or New, to the Big Eyes Small Mouth system?
Eh. Whedon lets his politics take over his art too much IMO. Especially his movies
No, Banishers are super in-denial about being Mages.I just remembered that Banisher in 2e can means 'Mages who destroy magic(such as Logophages) for whatever reason, including 1e's "born" Banisher' so... yeah I can have a Mad Seer Banisher Reaper Lich Scelestus
I am not a Mage! No, Banishers are super in-denial about being Mages.
Most would rather kill themselves than admit to being a Mage of any sort.

Those are the ones that commit "suicide by Cop".The ones who do admit to being mages though?
Those are the truly dangerous ones.
The contradiction, however, is adorable. No, Banishers are super in-denial about being Mages.
