If you want to do WoD in New Jersey, you're probably, hm, you're probably going to be able to draw a lot of inspiration from mafia stuff and organized crime. Mad Men meet Supernatural essentially. It's a perfect place to run a game of Vampires, methinks; the state is rather diverse though, so while you have room for the stereotypical Jersey-esque mafioso and corruption stuff, there's still plenty of room for having a sleepy, picturesque little Middle Atlantic tourist town (although this is probably best done before 1980 since everything started dying then) to juxtapose against weird shit with perhaps a game of Mage. I dunno I only read the splats like every four months for this stuff :V

Sounds good, The Sopranos is one of my favorite shows! Right up there with InuYasha.

Speaking of which, does anybody want to read some Sopranos/InuYasha crossover fanfics I wrote when I was thirteen? It'll be like 2006 all over again! I'm serious. I am thinking of posting those old stories for old time's sake. I got them on an old flash drive. I won't post them in this thread, but in the User Fiction section of the forum.

But enough of that, let's get back to topic! Sorry for any unintended derailment. I'll try not to let it happen again!

. . . It's reasonable criminals are often first to encounter paranormal stuff.

There's a good reason Sanza's Cartel knows more about vampires over entire US Government.

Im running a pulpy Werewolf the Apocalypse game set in an alt universe Victorian England where among other things the world uses imperial rather then metric and horses are as common as cars are.

Surprising crossover heavy for ostensibly mortal focused book.
Mortal focused books usually focus on encountering two splats.
Inquisition focuses mostly on Vampires and Mages.
Arcanum focuses mostly on Vampires and Mages.
Project Twilight focuses mostly on Vampires and Werewolves.
Meanwhile in World of Darkness: Mafia we have Mafia Hunters, Mafia Vampires, Mafia Werewolves, and even Mafia Ghosts? :o

Sins of the West. I mean, the almost-should-be-capitalized phrase, since it's said a lot in relation to the Technocracy.

And no, that's not an argument that the west doesn't have sins or something, I'm just trying to figure out what specific sins/types of sins are actually included in that, and which ones aren't.

Off the top of my head. Colonialism, Scientific Racism, the Industrial Revolution and the World Wars/Mass Slaughter they spawned. Etc.

Less about Sins of West rather uneven benefits of Technocratic advancement.
They're intentionally overlooking the Global South.
Africa isn't better off with Progenitors decimating the local healers.
Syndicate has been detrimental to South American Economies.
Technocratic Union claims to advance humanity but mostly benefit developed counties. . .
. . . often at expense of underdeveloped regions.

I dunno, that feels a little too passive. I mean, it's a start, but: "Your sin is that you just aren't doing *enough* good in the world evenly. Oh, and their sin *points to other guys* is that they're responsible for Brexit and Trump."

I bet on job interviews you list your worst feature as your stunning good looks, Generalissimo. :V

Not that I'm insulting the good looks of the leader of Tropico.
