Look:

Obviously Pentex is another sign of how the souls of men have become withered and stunted things, here we have a union of men and women with a dream of a better world, yet they dare not seize it with their hands for fear of being burned by the very fire of their own inspiration. Instead, they are weak and dull paper-pushers, who bargain their own divinity away for the blessings of minor spirits and demons.

Oh, how the Union has succeeded! None are spared their assault on the myths of man! Neither their enemies nor their own heroes are safe!

Oh woe! Oh sorrow! Creation falls through the darkness! :V

Anybody willing to actually join my Boone, North Carolina Vampire RP? I am seriously considering actually ST'ing it right here on these forums!

If GURPS or BESM are too much of a different system, we could always use V20.

Hmm... that depends. If you can order someone because you're part of some sort of organization and the recipient of an order must obey because of protocol/punishment, then Rank is a better representation. But if you're an honorary Generalissimo, then Status should be used instead.
The other two don't try to sneak in the Slashers book as their endowment system.
Don't believe White Wolf's lies: they all share a setting, even if one's WoD and one's Co'D.
The Abby and Ascending Ones share the same Setting.
I will be responding to all of these postings later.
(Just using this for keeping track of everything)
Not currently feeling like making worthwhile replies.
Currently preparing myself to address the Spirit(s) of Thanksgiving.
What do you need to sufficiently prepare to encounter Spirit(s) of Thanksgiving?
Have a happy World of Darkness Thanksgiving everyone!

Not sure Pentex can handle modern economy?
It's not aging well and 1990's influence can make it seem dated.
Most of their noteworthy subsidiaries aren't well situated for 2016 market realities.

King Breweries being distant 3rd place to Coors and Anheuser-Busch. . .
. . . looks really bad following the SABMiller/Anheuser-Busch merger.
Doubly so facing rise of craft and local alcohols.

Food chains like O'Tolley's aren't doing so hot right now.

Black Dog Game Factory is rapidly loosing market share of gaming to Magicians of the Bay.

Omni Television's influence ought be fading as internet sweeps away television.

Endron International ought be getting punted by dwindling oil profits.
(That and following Enron zero players are taking Endron seriously)

We already know Ardus Enterprises faltered in Europe facing harsh regulatory environment.

That leaves Magadon, Incorporated most effective group economically.
Still worth mentioning Reservation Medical Network ought be less effective as more tribes are taking control of their medical providers.

1/9 for profitable and successful Maga-Corporation-Of-Evil.
Generalissimo is not particularly impressed.
Those jokers ought be completely bleeding money.
So far as corporations run by extra dimensional invaders go Cheiron Group does it better.
So Technocracy is finally doing their job by eroding Pentex support? :drevil: I am fine with that.

Same market forces that should be smacking Pentex. . .
. . .are also everything that wrecked Syndicate's vaunted macroeconomics.

When the Technocrats accidentally international economy Pentex was caught in the crosswinds.
In summery a Union screw up caused massive setbacks for scheme of Wyrm?

If they're going to stay afloat maybe they should try cutting back unprofitable Wyrm proliferation?
Assuming ongoing tends in business continue 7/10's of their noteworthy outfits ought be imploding eventually?

Anybody ever write WoD fanfiction or at least read it?

Yeah. Theres a couple good ones most of them are shit though, and they are either Mage or VTM Bloodlines fics.

The only two good ones Ive read are Pencils Down Deathrays Up (OWOD/Mass Effect) a comedy, and one where Commander Sheperd is a Euthanatos Mage.

You will notice both of these are crossovers with Mass Effect.

If you don't mind crossover, @EarthScorpion has a fantastic Worm/nMage cross. At least, i believe it's nMage, I don't follow Mage stuff. It's called An Imago of Rust and Crimson. Here's a link.

I still refuse to confirm whether it's nMage or not (even if people have decided that Taylor is a Mastigos), but it's certainly nWoD, yes. And the world has been twisted to be a much more nWoD-y world.

Ah yes Pentex, the antagonist so comically evil that it makes the Garou look heroic when they're fighting it.

I like the idea of Pentex, they make sense in an animistic world. I hate the execution, and I hate that they're a singular entity rather then a number of distinct interests working for the darker part of the spirit world.

Well, I kind of like the version pitched in this thread, where they want to go full General Quaritch-meets-JENOVA and forge a glorious intergalactic empire of blood and thunder on the desecrated corpse of Gaia. Like, they're still fucking crazypants and evil, but it's the kind of crazypants evil that you could see people getting seduced by.
