Hmmm. Two of my favored third-place-options aren't gaining much momentum, and Hawkmoon made some good points about how getting the CF Noble Patent could be massive chance for us to expand both our political sphere of influence and intrigue-related activities and information channels. Though I still want those passage and docking rights over the Prefential Trading Licence. While the improved trading could be useful in the long run, I think we have to start moving faster now. And helping Cornelia with her war by giving the Britannian navy a path through Indonesia immediately would definitely give us some good will both from her and from certain parts of the Britannian court.

Also, here is a cool picture about Lelouch that has that sweet Britannian/Asian -noble aesthetic-fusion thematics:

By the way, here is a really good reason for us to ensure that Cornelia's war goes favorably for her, with getting Docking and Passage Rights and also any additional support that we can feasibly afford to throw her way:
You take a deep breath. "Cornelia's troops passed through that region last year."

Results: General site of the orb's construction located with some certainty, expedition can now be mounted. Area is held tenuously by an allied royal of Britannia, but located in a region of fierce conflict.
If we can tilt the odds in her favor, getting access and hopefully safer access to the area that is currently contested suddenly becomes much easier. And as in that scenario we will have helped Cornelia in her war-effort, she will likely be more willing to humour us wanting to search and mess around with some ancient ruins without Lelouch explaining everything. In fact, with the recent world-wide revelation about the power of psionics in warfare, just straight up telling her that we are searching for potential psionic artifacts will likely be enough to satisfy her curiosity, and maybe even gain her support for the effort if we promise some of our potential future toys for her army.

So yeah, I think that getting Cornelia more support via a new navy route with docking chances to supply and repair goes over both the trading rights and the noble patent. I might even switch my vote later on to ensure that it wins, if its teetering between the third and fourth place and I'm voting something that is contesting its place.

as much as i want to put cornelia into our debt through giving her access rights to indonesian waters i wonder if it would actually be beneficial for her since afaik she is currently somewhere in anatolia which means the atlantik mediteranian would the preferential route for supplies atleast till she reaches the arabean sea
in fact its clovis that would profit more of getting a better route to the red sea

A status update on the voting:

The top three options are, in order: Written Acknowledgement of your claims in Australia within the treaty (DC 75), Docking & Passage Rights for Britannian Naval Vessels in Indonesia (DC 75) and A Preferential Trading License to ignore duties and customs in Indonesian Ports (DC 80).
However, A Chinese Federation Title and Noble Patent (DC 90) is within 8 votes of overtaking A Preferential Trading License to ignore duties and customs in Indonesian Ports (DC 80) (and within 8 votes of overtaking Docking & Passage Rights for Britannian Naval Vessels in Indonesia (DC 75)), potentially allowing it to become the third most voted option\second most voted option. Also as of now, between the current second most voted option and third most voted option are tied, meaning that there is a possibility that Docking & Passage Rights for Britannian Naval Vessels in Indonesia (DC 75) might swap places with A Preferential Trading License to ignore duties and customs in Indonesian Ports (DC 80).

I think Hawkmoon made persuasive arguments.
