You know, I can understand the paranoia of a corrupted soul gem, but we also have to learn not to burn through all our grief seeds so fast, (since they're a very limited resource and all).

    "...What do you wanna watch?" Your mom asks. "I would suggest a bad movie but right now, I don't think you need the extra pain."

    You laugh a little, before you just wipe your eyes again. "...I dunno right now." You say. "Just...I want to forget it."

    "Don't." She says. "You can't. Just let it out, okay?" She grabs a DvD. "Ah. An action movie! This should be fun."

    "...Action?" You murmur.

    "Yeah."

    "...I don't feel like it." You say.

    "Oh, come on." She grins. "It'll be fun!"

    You sigh. "...Fine." You say. "Just...fine." You bury your head in one of the arm rests at the end of the couch, and Kyouko moves over to take the last available spot.

    You take a deep breath, and you wipe your face again. "...Why does it still hurt?"

    "Because rejection always does." She says.

    You think about that...then you remember what happened with your dad. "...Oh."

    "Yeah." She says. "But you know what? You tried. And that's better." She looks at you. "You know what would have been worse? If you let it fester. If you didn't gather up the courage to ask him like you did today."

    "...I wouldn't be crying into the sofa." You murmur.

    "You would also regret it a lot more." She says. "...Trust me on that one."

    You frown. "...I trust you...but I just don't believe you right now."

    "And that's okay." She says. "Just cry it out. Hey, maybe Kyouko can help you."

    You look at her to see that she's currently waiting for the movie. "...Kyouko?"

    "Well..." She blushes. "...Actually, I haven't even confessed to anyone. I mean...I did have a crush once..." She trails off, and the blush disappears in favor of something else. She's lost something, hasn't she?

    "...Oh." You murmur. "...Was it a girl?"

    "What is with you people assuming that I'm gay?"

    Both you and your mom stare at her. "...You're not?" You say it with perfect synchronicity.

    Kyouko just groans.

    We have half-used grief seeds, so it's not like we're using up grief seeds any faster by topping off as necessary.

    Double fucking hundreds. Then they decided to kill it by giving Kyouko a one on her damage avoidance roll. If you hadn't ended the fight when you did, she would have died.

    well, I wasn't really expecting it to just come out (HA!) like that as part of the automatic-action.




    Also she didn't deny it. Face it Kyoko, you're gayer than a rainbow over San Francisco. Mooooiiiiidddd, are you trying to say Kyoko was crushing on Sempai?
