SayakaQuest Thread 10: Glory To The Death

This is terrifying. But we don't have to die because of it." You look at them. "We're telling you now so that you can get your families out while you still can. We can handle this. We can survive this. But...most people?" You wave outside. "They can't."

Tomo and Yoko just look horrified, while Akane fidgets. Madoka seems stunned. "You..."

"So we're going to fight it. And we are going to win." You take another breath. '...This is the last time, Homura.'

"You...you won't win, Sayaka." Madoka shook her head. "If...if this thing's as p-powerful as you say..."

'Doka doesn't think The Mitakihara Crew can handle Walmart Night and she'll have to contract so no one dies. She's not wrong, in fact, personally I don't like our odds of getting though the fight without at least a casualty/bad end.

That said, we've got one hell of a team right now. Saka can heal anything short of a Soul Gem strike/Chunky Salsa Rule AND everyone'll be armored to the gills. I honestly don't even know if we've found the top end of Akane's Strength. Homu's weapons, while probably not effective on Walmart Night herself, should be more than enough for the familiars. Probably. Koko, well Koko is just a badass pure and simple. While our odds are shit, they're far, far better than they should be with even the lowest amount of MG's we can bring to the fight.

Even if Tomo/Yoko/Sukuyo choose not to fight that just means we can toss Yoko Walmart Night's seed and have her blow the whole thing on repairing the city, AND a set of MG's that aren't total bitches/better than average to shore up the city afterwards.

So right now, the objective is to convince Madoka that we actually stand a chance against Walmart Night without her.

I kind of want to add something about just how GOOD Saka is at healing by bringing up a previous horrible injury or make a comment about how we'll armor everyone up. It'd probably go a long way to show that we have a strong defensive side as well as an offensive one.

That said, bringing up any old injury on the scale I'm thinking of is just asking for Koko trauma. Then again, what's a little Koko trauma to preventing a Bad End of 'Doka contracting? We're already blowing about 200c on this show of force already.

[x] Madoka, you have not quite seen the level of what we've taken down in the past. I mean, there was one witch that was lobbing planetoids which WE THREW BACK and another which was a Walpurgisnacht of its own WHICH WE KILLED. Now, there's still plenty left to consider...
-[x] Theory Time: What do you get when you throw a radio tower at locomotive speeds, and put that tower through a time acceleration effect so it is suddenly moving at drag racer speeds? A massive pain train, which even Walpurgisnacht would be foolish to ignore. Not that we are assuming you are helping, [insert name here cause I forgot who does that], but that's a really useful power.
-[x] Not to mention, we have comprehensive intelligence on Walpurgisnacht. Like a possible weakpoint hidden on its topside.
-[x] IN ADDITION, I can contribute incredibly powerful armor and incredibly powerful healing, and Kyouko can create building sized spears...
-[x] Actually, what if Akane threw one of those massive spears, put through time acceleration?
-[x] Really, I want to try that now. Preferably out in the middle of nowhere where a meteor strike wouldn't cause collateral. I'm not even sure Homura could put out that kind of firepower, and she's got an arsenal bigger than most third-world countries.

I really don't like this write-in that much for some reason but I guess it does work...Hmm. Very slight edit to the end of NSMS.

While Homura usually has Madoka covered on Kyubey patrol, I think it's safe to say that we'll need to be extra vigilant after this.

It works for what it does; if anything I'd be more worried about bringing up the trauma flag for Akane, but the emergency situation requires it. It's less any specific write-in and more damage control on "WE'RE DOOMED".
 
And damage control on "WE'RE DOOMED" would be more effective focusing on how much of a badass Kyoko is instead of her weapons' physical stats. Her current powerset is shit and anyone less of a badass than her would've died a long time ago if they had to rely on it.
