Akane's armor came with fancy tricks that took a bit of training to figure out, so I think it'd still be worthwhile to investigate during a training session, in case one of theirs does as well.
 
Costa Rica or Iceland are pretty large countries that rely on NATO/the US to provide defense.

Homura could probably do quite a lot of damage.

    Madoka stares at you and nods slowly. She turns once and, immediately, she sees just how hurt Homura looks. Her eyes widen at that, before she looks away quickly.

    Madoka just looks lost. She doesn't know what to do or say, and when she looks at Homura she can't help but look away. That is, before Homura pulls her into the tightest hug she can muster.

    "I...I don't know what to say." Madoka says, quietly. "You...I can't help you." She says. "And if I try...th-that'll just hurt you, won't it?"

    Homura just holds on tighter.

    • We need to think of something Madoka can do to feel useful, which also keeps her out of harm's way. Maybe having her in charge of trying to figure out how to get an early evacuation? I feel like it wouldn't be enough, but it would be something.

    Pretty much this; that's what the previous vote was leading up to anyway.
     
    []Madoka, you are helping, just by being you. Seriously, I think this is the happiest Homura's been in a long time. That's all because of you. Making a contract...it wouldn't help anyone. It'd only hurt the people who care about her.

    I feel like telling the truth will do the opposite of making Madoka hopeful that we will win. There's a significant chance she would wish as soon as she gets the chance, maybe even seek out Kyubey to do so. She wouldn't want everyone to die again, and certainly not Homura after hearing that. Plus, that basically wipes out any chances of the newbies not running.

    Hmm. In the short term, it'd be a huge problem, yes, but I'm not optimistic about the odds of us getting through this without that bomb being dropped, we can potentially defuse it, and it's a potential argument against a contract (ie: We can say for a fact that her contracting ruins everything forever).

    As for newbie running...eh.

    And if she knew that it would be useless, since when she contracts Homura will loop when she finds out? Also, Homura has never had us alive for Walpurgis, nor has she had a group this strong face it, in terms of both numbers and raw strength (mainly thanks to Akane).

    This is, quite frankly, the best situation Homura's ever gotten so far. And Madoka would be throwing it all away if she contracted, and damning Homura to yet more loops full of us dying.

    While her saying it right now might actually not be helpful, I suspect it will need saying later since things right now are a bandaid on the Madoka problem.
