[x] Join Kyoko in engaging the doll. Switch back in forth with her on tanking the doll, and wave rends when it's not paying attention to us. Focus on taking out the remaining hand.
[x] Ako, Ran, and Chou should run around the city to find a way to the central gear from the earlier stage. While looking, take out any hands that Homura may have missed.
[x] Yuri and Kagura should stay away from the melee. Suppress the doll using ranged attacks.
[x] Akane stays back, and waits until we can open up the doll or cut off the other hand. Destroy the hand ASAP if we cut it off.
[x] Suggest that Homura keep a close eye on the doll, and relay any detail that might clue us in on how to defeat the witch.

"Well, let's find out." You crack your knuckles. "Go with Yuri. Have her sneak you behind the doll. As for the rest of the team, have them destroy some of the other hands."

"The city's hands?"

"Yeah. Those. I'm gonna help out my girlfriend."

She shrugs and nods, before she does a soaring leap away. You drag your sword across the ground, before you do a soaring leap into the air. Kyouko flies past your vision with her spear, before you send her a quick message. 'Hey!'

The entire thing whips around, with Kyouko still riding the head, before you land right next to her. "Sayaka!"

"Hey, bestgirl!" You give her a big, stupid grin before you both start charging towards the Doll. You see Akane running behind the Doll, keeping her footsteps silent as it starts to move towards you and Kyouko...then it whips around. It notices Akane on the ground and switches the grip on its sword. The grin almost seems to widen, before it does a vicious upwards slash. Akane is sliced in half from hip to shoulder, while Yuri is thrown aside by the sudden rush of air.

But the distraction's enough. 'Homura! Evac!'

'On it.' Akane vanishes as the Doll's split-second gives you a chance to attack.

Kyouko impales the back of the Doll with her spear, before she violently rams it into the ground. The doll presses back up, struggling against the spear as you do a soaring leap off of the head of Kyouko's spear.




You slash several times, but each and every time, the doll's arms swing just enough to avoid the hits. You hit the ground instead, just in time to see the torso split open again. Kyouko 's thrown off of the spear as the Doll re-positions itself and throws the spear across the city. The weapon hits the wall as though it were an enormous limp rope, destroying pieces of golden paneling.

The Doll promptly fixes itself and claps, as though it were impressed.

Well, that did a thing. Anyway, since it's still split open, does anyone else think we should try to attack the hands inside of it? Seems like that'd have to do something.

Edit: aww, no opening. Guess we're back to cutting her hands off, unless the rest of you have a better idea.

Minor nitpck. Two pronouns of the same "class" (impersonal singular) used back to back but refering to different things. (Itself = doll, it = spear)
Pretty sure you meant the doll threw the spear across the city, but I had to read the sentence a second time to be sure about that.

EDIT: saw the edit, much clearer now. Thanks Moid. :)

I... guess? I felt like "it" being used after "itself" kind of made it clear.

Guess I should've included 'can't sneak up on the doll, because the entire floor is magma the witch' on my reasoning for holding Akane back.

If it's clapping while its torso is split wide open, then fuck, it's not a weak point at all.

No, I think the doll closed itself up after throwing off the giant spear. And if it isn't, then It's definitely fast enough to put itself back together, too fast for us to exploit the literal opening. Not without something keeping the split open.

Edit2: Yep, doll's definitely whole now.

If we do intend to destroy the doll, since we can't find anything else to attack right now, I fail to see how attacking it's inner workings wouldn't help at all. Also, it's a witch- it does illogical things (at least, until you figure out what it's train of logic is), Just because it's clapping doesn't mean we don't have some kind of opening here.

Ohhhhhhhhh okay yeah that makes sense. I was afraid it had completely healed itself.

As for tactics, would executing a simultaneous attack with another magical girl help lower the doll's bonus against each of the attacks, since it would have to split it's attention? To clarify, I don't mean the sort of thing we just did with Kyouko wherein she traps the doll and we attack, but a simultaneous attack on two fronts at once, maybe even from midair if we can finagle it, so the doll can't sense one or both of the attacks coming through Walprugisnacht's ground coverage.

Edit: Granted, that was not the result of a simultaneous attack by the Tokyo girls, but the point is flanking it won't do much.

I mean, that's why I kept asking for suppressing fire on the damn thing. At least that might be able to slow it down for a decisive strike.

Well, Moid has already made clear that we should not focus only in the doll, but since we are all being so hopeless in trying to find any better aproach, we must get rid of the doll and I think that the only way to kill it for good is from inside. Or maybe I´m just being crazy

[] Timestop with Kyouko and Akane. move with boosts if necessary
-[] Kyouko creates a giant spear with the point as near as posibble from the doll´s breast without touching it
-[] Akane firefists on the back of the doll, you use waverends in the arm´s joint
-[] Akane and Sayaka lands on the spears´s shaft, just before the head and brace for impact
[] If the witch gets impaled, go inside and unleash hell
