SayakaQuest Thread 10: Glory To The Death

Erm guys, the doll is currently not touching the floor. If Homura timestops the Doll will be frozen and we can pick it apart at our leisure.

Holy shit!!
How couldn´t any of us realize it?

[x] EVERYONE SCATTER.

"Scatter!" You scream, and everyone dashes away.

And just as you say that, you raise your greatshield, before there's a loud clang as the sword deflects you slightly. The entire city is brought down by the hit, the impact bringing the entirety of the Golden City to a steep angle. You're flung into a building, and slow yourself down by dragging your shield into the ground.

In the distance, you see the Doll standing upright, watching you from among a cloud of golden dust.

[x] Get to Koko. Heal her if you can.

You start moving as soon as you can. As the doll stands, there's a barrage of attacks as shadows slash across its surface, weapons clash against its shins, and the Tokyo girls try making a distraction.

Quickly, you make your way to where Kyouko is, stuck underneath a hand. 'Kyouko!' You shout.

She turns towards you. "Sayaka!?"

You slice the mechanical hand at the wrist with little effort, before she presses up and sends the entire thing flipping backwards. "You alright?"

"I think have a few cracked ribs." She mutters. "It's nothing. I'm fine." She turns, before she winces as her broken arm swings helplessly. "...Okay maybe not."

Quickly, you heal her arm and torso and look over to where the Doll is. You watch as she cackles and laughs among the Tokyo girls, before she raises her blade and spins. Several of the girls are shredded by the Doll, and a huge cloud of golden dust floods the city as several buildings are mulched by the blade.

...Did Waluigi's central spring (or whatever her weak point was, I forget) ping off differently on Sayaka's senses? I'm thinking we need to get back to finding it or whatever the witch' core is, or I am a few kilometers way off the mark.

Hands around city, smash the stage, or attack the audience are the only things I can think of for possible strategies.

At least, I don't recall anything that could be a clue to another strategy to it.
Unless we're supposed to guess at a strategy that hasn't been hinted at at all, but I doubt it.

The only thing I can think of is to try and get rid of the other sword.

But Moid said we're looking at this all wrong. I went back and reread. Couldn't find anything about the stage that hints to it being an ideal target. Walpy is turning the arena though so the audience continues to get a good view. I don't know how we can exploit this though. Attacking the audience is... bad. They could be actual people.

Destroy the arena and hope the audience evacuates? There's not guarantee's they'll do this at all.

Well, knocking her out the city would help but that's impossible.

Can any of the Tokyo girls levitate some stuff we can stand on and timestop? I can't remember their powers.

Wally has mobility. Tie her up in chainswords, bead walls and other stuff?

Just destroy everything?
Since the whole city is Walpurgis.
I mean the doll is a very small part of the whole witch. It could all be part of the show and destroying it might not even do anything.

If we can't get timestop working, then we need to get WN away from the bodies before we head over and risk having that happen to ourselves while healing.

How many seeds will it take? If too many, we may need to get their bodies and soul gems out of immediate danger, and sadly leave them like that until end of WN fight (separate soul gem so it doesn't witch itself out trying to heal the body). Hopefully it won't come to that though.

Yeah, the only thing I can think of is that central spring from way back. Otherwise, I feel like we're gonna burn a reset if we don't figure this out quick, since I think we lost at least a few of the Tokyo girls just now.

Hm... Maybe those civilians from before weren't a trap? Maybe evacuating all of them would deprive her of her audience, which would do... something? Eh... that sounds like a serious waste of time or cleanses (depending on whether we use time stop) if we're wrong, but I'm just spitballin' here.

So, possibilities of things we have missed or ignoring that we should be paying attention to:

- The audience in the arena/stage (I think it was confirmed that they are not actually people, but I may be mistaken)
- The arena/stage itself
- the civilians spread around the city
- WN's central spring
- The hands from the buildings (though it sounds like Homura already did a number on them)
- Is there something external to the doll controlling the doll (for example, but not limited to, a marionette EDIT: marionette type theory confirmed false by Moid. Still doesn't fully exclude the possibility of some kind of "remote control, but it now seems unlikely)

Can anyone think of anything else?

EDIT2: See later post. Moid is saying we are overthinking it.

Maybe the stage is important to her? But Mura already brought that up, and reasoned that since we've barely fought there, and the audience just spins to watch us anyway, it's unlikely. That's all I can think of, though. Perhaps, going off the central spring idea, we should find the spot where Wally landed and go beat the shit out of that patch of ground? You brought up most of the ones that seemed plausible.

Edit: You know, the doll has been described a few times now as moving like a magical girl. Maybe there's something around analogous to a soul gem around here? Whatever we're supposed to do, attacking that thing directly does not appear to be the solution.

This is just speculation (mor like WMG), but during the doll´s presentation in the theater I couldn´t stop thiking that the whole situation looked like a puppet show, maybe the weak point it´s high in the skys pulling the strings.
Other thing, since Walpurguis isn´t relly a witch, but something similar to a fussion or amalgamtion of Witches, If we could find an destroy the witch in control, the fight would be probably much more easy (easier said than done)
