Distance Learning for fun and profit...

Music:
"FTL - Faster Than Light" soundtrack: Lanius (Battle) theme.

Alternate Rannoch seems to be perfectly positioned to ally up with Earth Bet in a century or so.

MEverse earth - At first I thought it might be 'Years of Rice and Salt' earth, but the British-Scandinavian empire and the mid 22nd century date replaced that idea with Gundam Wing(?) earth.
Whoever they are, original flavour or somebody we might recognize, someone did them a favour by removing the Eezo trap. Angrily, at that.

I was half-expecting Earth Bet's Rannoch (or Tuchanka!) would be in the middle of an Entity infestation. Might've still happened to _someone._

CROSSOVER OMAKE OF A CROSSOVER OMAKE OF A FANFICTION WITH A CROSSOVER OMAKE OF A CROSSOVER FANFICTION
OK, this was fun. Are we going to see any other entries into this scenario, or was this a one-off?

And you want to know a crossover I'd love to see? Distance Learning with Dragonriders of Pern. Though Varga with Dragonriders would likely be more amusing, given the whole 'turning into dragons' thing... You think anyone would confuse Raptaur with a watchwher, lol?

In a word, no. Whers are smaller, have four legs and vestigial wings, and are nonsapient.
Raptaur has 4 legs (IIRC Raptaur had a centaur-like build with 4 legs and 2 arms).

A watchwher's wings are not vestigial, they are functional, they are just small enough that they can only fly on cooler nights, when the cold air is denser. Yes, this is canon (read Todd's books).

And finally. Watchwher's ARE sapient (again, read Todd's books) at roughly the same level as the metasynth enhanced firelizards (but not to the level as the Dragons).

I'll admit to not knowing the size comparison between a watchwher and Raptaur, but I think Raptaur is only slightly larger than a typical watchwher.

Considering the events of ME2:Arrival, it's not explosive enough to match canon either. An exploding relay should sterilize the system.

THAT's the story I was thinking of! That and the humanity where they have a Jupiter Brain and Cerberus was the ones keeping it from going singularity... I have it saved somewhere but can't be bothered to check the name for that one. Oh, the other one is Transcendent Humanity. Someone reminded me in the other MPPi thread.

Yes please that would be awesome.... I wonder what mpi's take on Pern would be?

Somehow Taylor either being able to reach into Pern-future or perhaps is able to call Pern Dragons to help her? Maybe even Taylor travels to Pern, lives there for years, comes back right when she left, and decides to make dragon riders who fight EndBringers? Whatever it would be, it would be epic!

... See now I'm wondering about Taylor and David Webers Dahakverse books... Can you imagine a universe where Taylor somehow becomes Dahaks Captain? Perhaps one where Dahak, thanks to some crazy parahuman, replaces the moon unknowingly? So he finds a captain and Taylor suddenly has all the guns.

Yeah @mp3.1415player this is my idea to gift to you!

Ah, so that's where the misunderstanding came from: I've never read any of Todd's books, only Anne's. And the watchwher described in Dragonflight didn't sound anywhere near as large as Raptaur.

Or between Distance Learning!Taylor and Buster!Taylor.

In a darkened lab, which also happened to be a basement, two girls with an uncanny resemblance to each other sat huddled at a table with a mousy brunette.

Distance!Taylor: "So, cyborgs, eh?"
Buster: "I'm hardly just a 'cyborg.' Calling a Sixth-Generation Interstellar Cruising Decisive Weapon like myself a mere cyborg is like... like... like saying Legend is 'just a Blaster.'"
Amy: "I note that she didn't exactly deny it."
B: "Hmph!"
DT: "So. Anyway. Cyborgs?"
B: "Okay, yeah. Fine. Cyborgs. Yes, we had cyborgs. In fact, we had thousands of years' worth of cyborg technology. And I more or less have it all up here." *taps forehead*
DT: "🎵I'm getting powers! 🎵"
A: "This is so not fair!"
DT: "Says you, Miss 'Biology Is My Bitch.'"
A: "Sure, yeah, but if I have to get within touching distance anyway, I'd love to have one of those collider things, too. You know, just in case."
B: "Disintegration is not a toy!"
DT: "So... disintegrate responsibly?"
A: "And you're one to talk, Miss 'I Destroyed The Earth In An Alternate Timeline.'"
B: "Shush, you. Fine, fine. The way I see it, I do have several thousand years' worth of cyborg and automation technology we can call up..." *chews on lip*
DT: "You're talking autodocs."
B: "Yes."
A: "Meaning you can cyborgize both of us."
B: "That's not even a word! And yes."
DT and A: "🎵We're getting powers!🎵"
B: "🎵I'm getting sisters!🎵"

Overhead, an improbable ball of light looked on in anticipation...
🎵I'm getting [DATA]! 🎵
