Having just started a re-read of For the Honor of the Regiment, I can give everyone a scarier image:

Kenny's Commander, at age 12, in a Sailor Moon Outfit, with a handgun and in "You hurt my mother" mode. She's even compared to a Terminator...

I've been trying to think up a pun on a Sailor Moon attack name, while shooting somebody and/or tossing a 'nade.

I got nothing.

Well, there was Gun Bunny, who shot Hookwolf with a pack howitzer. I believe she qualifies as Cannon Taylor.
If we're going that way, Shipgirl Fletcher!Taylor shot him at pretty much point blank with a 6" naval gun, splattering him into a literal fine mist; the only identifiable piece the poor bastards who had to clean up did find was his arm. Later on she shoots up Leviathan (and entire buildings) with a 48" shotgun.

Moon Beating Escalation?
Moon Tiara Detonation?
Something like that?
Or call her something else, with the main attacks from Sailor Star being "Shooting Star Burst" and "Full Auto Meteor Swarm", with "Sunburst" being her use of a thermite grenade...

Plenty of options.

Yea, that was the kind of thing I was turning over in my head, I just didn't feel like any of them were quite right.

Some of the girls with more offensively oriented powers like Venus or Mars would probably be a better choice to rip an attack name from. I think Venus had a megaton something or other. It's been many years.

Thinking back to that collection of various Taylors, it would be interesting for this story's version to meet Annatar, Brushstroke, and Corentine. See how she handles the flagrantly supernatural.

Let's not involve anyone connected to the Greek god of drunkenness and debauchery. No idea why someone thought it was a good idea to put an underage girl in that glorified frat boy's service.
... Because if anything Taylor is a bit old, traditionally, to be joining the faith worshiping that particular Chthonic Deity. After all, people generally started joining the cults of the various Greek Gods at a fairly young age by modern standards, including the Mystery Cult of the Underworld God of Madness and Intoxication...

The Glorified Frat Boy bit was a VERY late change to make Him more acceptable to the wealthy elite that actually wrote things down, after all.

The maenads were fucking scary, too, or at least the legends inspired by them.

Well, over in Mauling Snarks it's legal to drink as a teen (or younger) if your parents sign for a license to allow it. This was a result of parahuman wards (I think) who required alcohol for sustenance. And since an exemption for just a handful of people would out said parahumans, oh look! The law has been changed.

Not going to mock you. I've started binging it now too. As well as trying to binge Harry and the Shipgirls again.
Back in the day, I left off HatS to wait until it gets past the part that seemed to be taking too bloody long to resolve (the series of near-identical dates), but after several accidental misclicks into the thread I'd completely lost where I stopped so I have no idea where to continue, and as it's one of those fics that are a severe undertaking when it comes to rereading it completely...

It'd be nice if the various side stories were all grouped together in threadmarks. Such as the Mother Shinaro set, or the Butter Knives (mis)Adventures set.

Perhaps a bit late, but...
One could also remark on the idea that there is no version of Taylor Hebert who is entirely common-place, regardless of how this manifests... Which tends to lead to odd outcomes.
I am reminded of a snippet with a somewhat frazzled and crazed Chris (KidWin) who was dimension hopping and had developed Tay-phobia. He noted the most benign/normal Taylor he came across was essentially Big Sister. Though, really, I suspect he was blowing things out of proportion. After all, the Taylor in that reality simply had this quaint little book she carried around like a combination security blanket/priceless treasure. Oh, and she was about to meet the wards. All of them. Including Sophia. Perfectly safe, sane and reasonable Taylor. Absolutely harmless.

... I am a bit fuzzy on the ending though. 😈
