Distance Learning for fun and profit...

O'Make is still stumbling around singing. Someone grab him and get the bottle away from the fecker!
No! Don't stop him! He inspires good stuff! I want to see more of this!

That's bacon, I've never met anyone who doesn't like it,"
I have, the heathens. I'm talking about people who do eat meat and do eat pig based meat. And they didn't like bacon. Sacrilege I tells you, sacrilege!

So, eventually, I presume we'd be seeing something along the lines of Macross style colonization fleets, but with the transforming mecha/ships...

I do have to ask, just where on Earth does find environmental conditions that would freeze carbon dioxide? I'm aware of methane clathrate deposits in the deep ocean, but haven't heard anything about carbon dioxide freezing.

below the freezing point of carbon dioxide

Hmm...I wonder if Taylor can convince Admin to send a bud along with Tali when she eventually goes back to her universe. Good way to gather exciting new [DATA]. Maybe fix up a super-omnitool that Admin can be hooked into or something.

so judging on their first impression on the council races, who wants to be that Taylor will just evacuate all the minor council races and the quarians to their universe instead and leave the big 3 high and dry?

Not all of them. Those bug eyed slavers got hoisted by their own petard this time.

'Subspace,' whatever it really was, apparently allowed some very peculiar things to be done that normal physics would deem impossible. Normal physics seemed to be rather incorrect, as it turned out. And Taylor Hebert was certainly not interested in its opinion, instead going her own way and making it move out of the way and stare in horror…

No true Super Genius cares one whit what Normal Physics has to say. They consider the Laws of Physics to be mere suggestions, and poorly worded suggestions at that.

I wonder what Taylors reaction to the Rachni queen that's floating around in a egg would be or her reaction to the fact that the Geth were just trying not to be wiped out for developing their own thoughts.

Can I get a link for this fic?
Fic is in-progress, only an outline at this time. Author's other concepts/in-progress fics listed here (almost all various levels of wonderful, wonderful crack), with their ao3 account here (definitely check out the Just Kill Him AU, both the posted fic and the in-universe memes the author is having fun with on their blog - then there's the one that's just a couple of summary posts so far about a post-Endor Jedi Master And Seasoned Guerrilla Soldier Luke ending up in the middle of TPM on Naboo and solving their whole 'invasion' issue - how outdated are these droids?! Kriff, they're pushovers - and then meeting a thirty-year-younger Yoda is also really fun).

Yep yep, I hear that! My eyes are starting to have problems focusing up close it has been so long.

I'd been trying to get new glasses for the last nine years. But for my insurance to cover it, I need a prescription for the new lenses. With my insurance only paying for an eye exam once every 2 years. Each and every time the optometrist would not give me a prescription for new lenses because my prescription hadn't changed. My glasses have scratched up lenses. The plastic on the bows has been worn down and broken off for the last five years. Three years ago the nose pads broke off due to metal fatigue. Last month I was able to borrow some jeweler screwdrivers to tighten the screws holding the arms in place, but the metal connecting that assembly to the rest of the frame is very fatigued and could break at any moment. So I decided to save up money and pay for the exam out of pocket after my optometrist again refused to write a prescription in January of last year so I could get new glasses. Set up an appointment with a privately owned glasses/optometry clinic a few blocks from my apartment for Feb 23rd of last year. The entire city got shut down around Febuary 20th due to the pandemic, and privately owned optometry clinics weren't classified as a "required service", so the place has been closed since then. And likely to never reopen due to how long the owner has been unable to make a living.

I want to see what the PRT, Protectorate, and Cauldron reaction when they find out about the Department of Extraterrestrial Relations.

Edale snatches the bottle from Old O'Makie's hands and takes a swig, before spitting it out in disgust, "What are you drinking this piss for?"

Edale hands O'Makie a new bottle, "Here have some of this, it's the good stuff. Now go bug mp3.1415player some more!":D

If we're going that way, Shipgirl Fletcher!Taylor shot him at pretty much point blank with a 6" naval gun, splattering him into a literal fine mist; the only identifiable piece the poor bastards who had to clean up did find was his arm. Later on she shoots up Leviathan (and entire buildings) with a 48" shotgun.
It wasn't one six-inch gun she hit him with (Fletchers don't have six-inch guns), it was five five-inch guns. And ten 40mm Bofors. And seven 20mm Oerlikons. She literally shot him with everything she had. Later she only shot Lung with the five-inch guns (he was ramped up enough to be flying).

And the shotgun was the equivalent of a forty-nine inch cannon. When it was loaded with 00 buckshot, it fired 9 sixteen-inch shells at a time.

Oh, Taylor is already thinking that Magic Space Rock™ is something that's got major issues. That doesn't mean she doesn't want to study an alien spacecraft... ;)
If nothing else, she can get her sensors on some of the eezo-based equipment to work out what is really happening. That way, she can design something that actually does what it's supposed to do!
I wonder what Taylors reaction to the Rachni queen that's floating around in a egg would be or her reaction to the fact that the Geth were just trying not to be wiped out for developing their own thoughts.
Well, I'm sure that Amy would love to take a look at the Rachni egg, just to vet it as safe. ;)

As for the Geth?... She's not an expert on networked intelligences, but she knows someone who can help out in that area.

YO!!!
O'Make!!! Beer's over here lad. pull up a stool and grab a cold one. Ye can bug the author later.
:D
On the odd chance he likes something stronger, I've some Peanut Butter Whiskey I'd happily share. For those of you currently attempting to wrap your brains around those three words sitting next to each other, consider this; mixing it with hot chocolate is like getting drunk off of Reese's Cups. Not for everyone to be sure, but lovely all the same.

On the other hand, [BEST OMAKE] continues.
Sucker bet that QA and Shaper are metaphorically happy squealing at each other.

<BioShaper>"Look at this [DATA]! A completely new species from so far away that I would never have been able to catalog them, nevermind being able to apply beneficial modifications... I'm beginning to understand why you chose to partner up with [Host Species]."

<Queen>"Right? [Data] on multiple space-faring species, the unfortunately damaged ship on the other side of the teleporter, an entire Galaxy of [DATA] within reach. I'm content. These [GETH] are somewhat worrisome. You may want to acquire [DATA] on [SUBJECT:BATARIANS] before [BEST PARTNER] does something unfortunate to them."

<BioShaper>"Like what?"

<Queen>"We WERE routing communications through [Conflict.Engine.3], but now we have a faster connection set up."

<BioShaper>"Which means that Unit 3 is no longer required for that task... Oh."

Hey! I freely admit that I need my eyes checked. Need new glasses, three years ago. But to get them, I need to get an eye exam. Unfortunately, the pandemic hit and shut everything down a week before I was going to get said eye exam.

You want timing?

I was gonna get a haircut THE DAY my city announced a lock down. Was out Friday, think It was about haircut time while running errands, decided to get one the next day. Wake up Saturday, find out everything is closed.
