While I'm exploring the outdoors, feel free to complete this omakes from turn 2 before June 10, otherwise they will be closed and turn 3 will be posted on the weekend…hopefully. Enjoy!!!

  • Maintenance crew doing some space walk shenanigans
  • You are the First Citizen elect, what is your first order of business
  • You are voyager-1 embarking on a new mission
  • Group of adults attend therapy for trauma
  • Kids attempt to "raid" the arkship bridge
Also turn 3 will be the last turn in our journey to deep space as we are approaching to the door steps of Tau Ceti system. So far the fleets has survived the perilous journey across the cosmos which is a great accomplishment, still though a lot can go wrong from here till turn 4 but I'm confident you will all die! :3

Anyways turn 4 will be the beginning of the colonization process, so get ready folks!

We all die my friend.

It's just the Magoose Dice is dedicated to save everyone and prevent them from dying, because they want to live!

Um, do we have any British among the Crew?

Asking for a friend?

Damn the dice! Fear not, for there is many things in space that will bring the end of humanity!
Um, do we have any British among the Crew?

Asking for a friend?
Of course! Though I wouldn't know the exact the number but essentially for the sake of the story one is to assume that every nationality is part of the crew.

And hello everyone! Sorry you haven't heard much for me, for you see I went camping with my cousins over the week which it also extended to the weekend. Supposedly I was to return on Friday and rest while also finishing Turn 3 but plans changed and now I just made it home so the trip was tiring and glad to be back to civilization! So Turn 3 will be uploaded no later than Thursday I pinky promise, but for now here is a little tease for the next events…

"As the fleet carefully navigates through a field of ice asteroids, the navigator inspects the screen that indicates the proximity of objects many kilometers around the fleet. One of this said "ice asteroids" has suddenly changed course, why would it change course so drastically especially now that it was heading directly to the fleet…"

"A member of the crew has informed the Captain of the URS Tumaini Jipya of strange readings far beyond the range of the proximity sensors. Apparently it has being keeping an eye on this this same "objects" that for some reason are always on the move with the fleet. What are the odds of some space rocks moving at the same speed as the fleet, but yet always far from scans to determine their properties…"

well shit its aliens...aliens are going to fuck us over arent they?

i bet those same damn bastards sent the neutron star at us!!!

We shall not go gently into that good night. Because we have guns. Anti asteroid guns but we can probably sucker punch them if we need too.

Shields of Humanity:
Three brave souls volunteer to a suicide mission to save the arkship from complete destruction. With a plan set up, gear and equipment acquired for their mission the three crew members went on inside the ventilation tube to keep open the vent shaft while the exhaust plasma exits out to space. Everyone in the operating room went silent as the crew began to open the shaft to release the plasma, from a camera attached to one of the crew's helmets the feed would show the hot plasma immediately hitting their improvised heat shields. The audio can be heard of them groaning in pain from the intense heat while attempting to keep the shaft door open for a few more seconds. Then the feed cuts off and so thus any communication attempts with the crewas the whole room fell into deep silence and feelings of dread that perhaps the mission failed. But seconds later a separate screen would indicate that the remaining exhaust plasma has left the ventilation tube and the reactor is now operating as it should be. The operating room exploded with a roar of celebration, the arkship along with its inhabitants were saved and humanity would once more prevail. Moments after that however they would receive another miraculous news, despite being deeply injured all three volunteers were able reestablish communications to proudly announce the success of the mission. Though sustaining injuries and nearly being cooked alive, they all will make full recovery and would be hailed as heroes! This moment would certainly be recorded in history of humanity's crucible for survival.

Private Arkship Integration:
Though communications with the private arkships has only been limited to coordinating distance between the two fleets, with the UN fleet now under the authority of the United Remnant Provisional Government action is put in place to initiate integration talks with the private arkships. So far the talks haven't been very successful as the representatives from the private fleet had perceived our government as an "authoritarian neoanarcho-communist" and deeply concern that they might be placed as second class citizens or worse killed off and their precious cargo "appropriated" and "distributed" to the elite neo-establishment. But after heated exchanges and later clarifications though they were still deeply suspicious of our motives at least they were amenable with at the very least having representation within the new government. For now though the talks haven't borne fruit but reluctantly they are willing to have another set of talks, though this time they are likely to make even more concessions.

Scanning Deep Space:
After decades of traversing through deep space and facing many trials, the fleet has finally made it to what seems to be the outer edges of the Tau Ceti System. Though one would assume they can just rush straight to their new home, the first hurdle that they had to face was passing through the outer belt of the star system. Though normally asteroids are sparsely separated from one another by many kilometers, instead they were greeted by a very packed "ice asteroid" belt with only hundreds of meters apart across all dimensions. With no choice but to wider the distance between the arkships and slowly make their way through the field in hopes of making it in one piece, even with the addition of their turrets the journey would still be difficult and one doesn't know what other threats might lurk in the darkness…

Point Defense Construction:
Not wanting to compromise the integrity of hulls of the arkships by some rogue object from space, the interim government has decided to use the available resources to equip every arkship with the state of the art point defense systems. With the construction of these giant electromagnetic turret guns being installed to the arkships completed in a fast fashion, it is safe to say that the results have exceeded all expectations with the installment of these guns. They can shoot from afar with very precise accuracy, so accurate that a single would guarantee hitting a coin from maximum range of these weapons though since there is no air to slow down the bullets, what is even maximum range. Even though the arkships aren't as armed as say one warship back from Earth, at least they aren't now exactly defenseless, for the turrets are packing quite a punch.

Sabotage in the Fleet:
It is said that in space, no one can hear you scream. And hundreds of thousands of souls would have met that fate if it weren't by sheer luck the emergency system was able to awaken the crew in time to save the arkship from complete disaster as it seems that all systems were experiencing malfunctioning of sorts causing a cascading effect of system failures to every part of the ahip. Lucky technicians and engineers were quickly able to restore the systems back to operational order, had they not been awakened in time, the cascading effects would have spelled doom to the ship. Upon initial investigations, preliminary reports suggest that a virus of sorts was introduced to the ships main systems by an outside source, an unknown hard drive along with other equipment were found plugged into the machine. Meaning that someone in this ship was able to insert the system virus and nearly brought disaster to this ship, as the motive and the culprit(s) remain unknown. An investigation has been formed to search and detain the saboteur(s) of the ship.
There's an impostor among us…

Events

1# Alive in Space:

Considering that the fleet was still inside the field of packed ice asteroids they had to slow down for the time being until they made it through to the other side. The proximity scans have been useful in navigating the last remnant of humanity through the ice debris while the point defense system would obliterate them into galactic dust if they ever get near any of the arkships. But unbeknownst to everyone the encounter they are about to face will change how mankind perceives the empty space forever.

As the arkships carefully navigates through the field of ice asteroids, the navigator from one of the arkships inspects the proximity scan screen that has been responsible with detecting objects small and large, enough to do damage to the hulls of their arks while also with the range of many kilometers around the fleet. However while doing a routine inspection one of the "ice asteroids" has suddenly changed course, now heading to the direction of the fleet. While the situation is a bit odd, this could have easily been contributed to perhaps colliding with another object and thus changing its trajectory.

However upon getting closer initial readings indicate that the object was not in fact made of ice and rock, but rather it would seem that it's organic. Emergency broadcast was sent to all arkships of the unknown thing heading straight to their fleet, while still far from engaging maximum range from the automatic turrets this gave time to gather the personnel as well as the government to strategize about the potentially upcoming entity. Upon gathering everyone, a screen will display from their holo-pads the first images of the entity…

(Yes, I did in fact drew the space whale…pretty good I say)
The whole conference fell into an uproar and shock that first of all that a living thing could survive space and oddly resemble that from a giant space from Earth. After the initial shock and chaos, more information has been brought up about the entity that is being monitored. Though extremely large, about 800 meters according to rough estimates by far making it the largest organism to ever encounter, it is still small in comparison to the arkship's gargantuan 3000 meters. Even still it is considered a potential threat to the fleet and plans are drawn to deal with the situation, and so far three rough ideas have been dominant during the discussions; either flee from the creature while they still can though they aren't sure either they can out run it and drastically changing while also going fast would mean potentially crashing through the packed field of ice asteroids which either damage or even destroy an arkship. Another idea is to set up a defensive line and fire upon the creature within the range of the point defense systems, problem would come if the ammunition would even do damage to a large creature like that and if it fails it is likely that some if not all arkships might not survive this encounter. The final proposal is perhaps do nothing and let the creature get close with the assumption that perhaps it won't do no harm, but that is if the creature isn't some blood thirsty eldritch space horror which could wipe out the whole fleet with its space laser eyes. Ultimately after a short but intense discussion, it was decided to…

[] To retreat
- [] (optional) [how many political power you want to use] 0-3
[] To attack
- [] (optional) [how many political power you want to use] 0-3
[] To hold

2# Something lies afar:

~~10 minutes before Alive In Space~~

A member of the crew has informed the Captain of the URS Tumaini Jipya of strange readings far beyond the range of the proximity sensors. Apparently it has been keeping an eye on these same "ice asteroids" that for some reason are always moving parallel with the fleet. What is odd is that in one moment they get detected and a moment later they leave out of range. This pattern has been occurring consistently for the past 30 minutes, and thus has informed the captain about the strange occurrence. Perhaps it is nothing more than a lack of sleep from the crew member perhaps as there is nothing out there other than ice and rock. Maybe there is something strange out there, perhaps sending a reconnaissance drone would be appropriate. Ultimately the captain has decided to…

[] Do nothing…

[] Send in the drone…

Announcement: This events are considered high risk event, you should consider the possibility that you could fail miserably and face heavy penalties but the success will bring big rewards. Though I won't disclose the exact DC's, they are either pretty high or pretty low, so if you choose to roll with a single dice, make your peace with your deity and good luck.

This section should be considered separate from your typical plans, therefore players are not allowed to use this as part of their plan, this should be separate. Also players will also be rolling the dice for this event, but I will set out the rules for that when the votes close, rejoice!!!

Status:
Current UN arkships: 25
Current private arkships: 3
Modifiers:
  • 4 Actions
  • Total Journey Roll Modifier: (- 5) - 10
  • Encounter Roll Modifier: 0
  • Resources: 6
  • Political Power: 3
  • Action Roll Modifier: +10(agriculture), +25(permanent) +10(diplomacy) +20(just for turn 3)

Actions: 3 out of 4 available

[] Integrate the Private Arkships(Diplomacy)
Despite their selfish reasons they are nonetheless humans and as a whole they don't no longer hold the same influence they once held back on Earth. Bringing them into the fold may or not be beneficial to us depending on what they have. However with the lack of authority, who is to say that they even want to join our fleet.
  • DC: 80

[] Derelict Craft(Research)occupied
The discovery of the century, this craft is indeed alien in origin. However there is yet a lot that we don't know about, what is its purpose, why was it damaged, is it possibly a bomb!? Scientists are gonna have a field day uncovering the secrets of this alien machine.
  • d100: [37/500]

[] Send probes to survey the outer planets of Tau Ceti
Now that we are within the borders of the star system, one of the proposed sectors to survey is the outer planets of Tau Ceti. Good way to know about the gas planets and its moons and potential discoveries and resources it might offer.
  • DC: 45, 90, 135

[] Send probes to survey the inner planets of Tau Ceti
Now that we are within the borders of the star system, one of the proposed sectors to survey is the outer planets of Tau Ceti. Good way to know about the inner terrestrial planets and its moons and potential discoveries and resources it might offer.
  • DC: 45, 90, 135

[] Send probe to survey our new homeworld
Now that we are one step closer to reaching our destination, it has been proposed to do a bit of an "open house" to better understand what kind of home we are going to settle into. Though at this point it is too late to find another planet, it is better to have a new home than forever condemn our species to oblivion.
  • DC: 50, 100, 145

[] Send probe to survey the star of Tau Ceti
Since we are gonna be colonizing the Tau Ceti System for the foreseeable future, we might as well learn about the very star itself.

Omake Bounties:

Well if there are neighbors on the planet, we need to know, hopefully, because we do not need fuck things up.

Or kill ourselves because of crashing into the Sea.

-[x] Integrate the Private Arkships(Diplomacy)

You know what they say: We're all in this together.

-[X] Send probe to survey the star of Tau Ceti

I don't want another neutron Star trying to kill us again. Or aliens.

Or the sun collapsing.

Ah yes, you arrive home only for the Star to turn into a red giant!
Maybe they're friendly?
Who knows right, maybe they are or perhaps they will eat us. That is for me to know and for you guys to find out :3
Spool up the railguns just in case.

We can talk about integrating the private Arkships, and a lot of sus rich people, once we've got a handle on the saboteur. Let's not add a bunch of new variables when one of them is already present trying to kill us.

@ProjectUnidad I have a question:

Depending on how the diplomacy goes: will we gain resources from the Arks that followed us?

And did they actually… you know bring stuff with them?
