You Think, Therefore You Are (A 5E D&D Slime Quest)

[X] Bard

Normally I'd choose fighter, but this seems like the better choice for a mimic.

[] Paladin

I'm also open to Paladin due to it being a charisma based class.

It wasn't actually the charisma slime, it was the intelligence slime.

We need Charisma for our deception. Can't be a good mimic if the act isn't working.

I would like to point out that a warlock at least in 5e has only 2 spell slots until he is level 10 or something, given the endless among of things that one can do in dnd and things that do happen I do not think this is a well suited class for SV, between it's desire for control and the fact that a Warlock has to rely on his party for a lot of things

From my experience I could recommend a Sorcerer and would advise against playing as a Druid
Warlocks have a few things they're really good at. They're excellent for having a few weird tricks you can keep throwing out endlessly, and a couple of cooler things for when the going gets rough. As a character who can do things in a narrative sense without having to constantly stop to let the players manage the spell slots, that sounds easier to manage than a class that only gets a distinct number of things they can do per day before their main class features stop working.

Fundamentally, I'd say that the passive abilities, like the invocations, are the main power of the class. Stuff like being able to levitate at will, or read any writing, or shoot gigantic eldritch blasts at everybody from three hundred feet away, or being able to cast Silent Images at will, which is something like an entire spell level better than the perk Illusion Wizards get. It's like perks, but as a class feature, and they're magic perks.
@Novus Ordo Mundi
Can we please roll our stats first, before we choose our class ?
They're already rolled.
Also, I will roll your array. 4d6 drop lowest.

Edit: Oof. Not the best start. Good news is you all have +2 Con and +1 ???

Question is there a Kensai class like in Baldurs gate? Because if so then we can do the good'ol Kensai/Wizard.
It's a monk subclass. No real overlap with Wizards.

You mean like any other spellcaster just with argueing during each fight if it's worth to use one of our 2 spell slots ?
Like I said it's not a bad class, it's just not SV friendly,
Nevermind that our stats also aren't warlock friendly

I mean, but we can point at things and make them explode, though? Passives work when you're out of spell slots, and cantrips are free now, and aren't Warlocks better at both of those?

First tally incoming...

College of Satire, for Maximum Troll Slime.

Edit: If Bard, college of Glamour so we can Charm our prey into non-resistance then eat it for their shinies. If Wizard, Enchanter for more of the same.
