Half minimum added, applied on a per culture basis, and added a few more bonuses here and there (for instance on Canines and Familiars as @DarkLight140 suggested). I think this is probably about as much as I'm comfortable giving; so any future arguments that convince me to bolster one section will likely result in me weakening another. Eidetic Memory is proving to be a hell of a good pick for a trait - I don't want to make the people of the negaverse where they didn't take it feel completely foolish.

I'll have a think about the gain rate on the mental library. I'm leaning towards something like internalising two points per AP spent in a task that involves referencing books from an actual library, with a free choice of an additional +2 each turn for a library you have access to.

I'm currently thinking he's too young, and that the bonuses will be back once he's on his feet.

However, given as that's only a couple of weeks away I might as well put them on the sheet now. They won't apply at the council meeting, but that's it.

For other ways that the invasion very likely won't go the same way, we reported the possibly-nascent College of Necromancy, which means that the Colleges might be inclined to throw a bit more muscle alongside Abelhelm's invasion this time if only because it's a major strategic objective for them to make sure that such a thing never comes to be. They can't afford to bet that the invasion will end up with Stirland permanently in control of Drakenhof this time around so they need to ensure that there's enough of a punch to strangle that concept in the crib and preferably dust the vampire who thought it was a good idea.

I can imagine them giving him more support if it is available, but I wonder if they might not be somewhat tied down by the skaven situation. If the civil war is ongoing, and I see no reason it wouldn't be, then it's possible they might end up fully committed to taking advantage of that. In DL they were able to go after Ubersreik and Nuln under-cities. With the earlier knowledge of the civil war that is almost certainly going to expand significantly.

Remember that circumstances and appearances matter a lot for Rep gains, such that Mathilde was getting twice or more as much for kills in open combat as she was for assassinating Warbosses even when it was strictly less beneficial to kill them after they'd marshalled their forces onto the field. Protector dodges that in a big way, so from a political perspective if we want someone Imperial to get credit for the job it's best to use it, or at the very least, we need to get someone with sky-high Dwarf Rep to vouch for the fact that the Colleges are responsible for bringing Vlag back to a dwarf important enough that their opinion matters, before we do it. Algard will only know about the latter option unless we tell him about our divine artifact, though, and while I think the risk in telling him what the Protector does is low (and might produce amusing results if he schemes to use Mathilde to farm Empire Rep on behalf of the Colleges) it's not nonexistent.

I was wondering the best way to go about giving the dwarves the skaven dictionary. It isn't something they urgently need, they've managed for thousands of years without it. It is something they'd use though, as shown by Thorgrim in that DL interlude. I assume the colleges are going to give it to them in return for some favour, but I have no idea if Mathilde will get any of that dwarf favour. Seems more likely she'll get some extra college favour instead, perhaps.

I wasn't in favour of letting anyone know about Vlag due to how likely it is that Slaanesh finds out. Might not be possible to do anything about it anytime soon and just have to hope that it stays roughly the same for a while. If the colleges do attempt something, I could see Mathilde getting some favour for contributing to the effort behind it, but most of it would go to the colleges.

We usually can't spend half-AP on full actions except maybe with a grace turn sometimes. So which Organization do we want to double dip in?

Also do we still suffer from the Overwork from DL or has it vanished because we left our tired body and entered our younger not tired body?
The lack of -10 suggests we might've lost at least some of it

We get higher secrecy by helping him plan with the Purge instead. We can account for it then ourself.
We also have Strategy and Strategy - Undead this time which we didn't have the last time.
Also Fog of War which gives a bonus to scouting actions while in command and a lot of trouble was finding the undead.

Do suggest that for obvious reasons you have a strong working relationship with your Master, and bring permitted to read him in on the temporal phenomenon would make it a lot easier for you to work with him in more ways than one. Suggest that if he really wants you to focus on intrigue work with the rest of the Grey College it would be very helpful not to be handicapped in your ability to work with your most naturally compatible potential colleague. Unrelatedly, make him aware that your blessing from Ranald gives you a way to ensure that someone from the Colleges receives full credit for rescuing Vlag (namely, you), but only after six months have passed. State that you aren't suggesting the rescue be pushed back for your sake, but if it's going to take some time to organize anyway then you would like to do the honors as it was your achievement originally and a moment of considerable personal significance.

Seriously guys, I REALLY don't understand the enthusiasm for telling on Regimand, for multiple reasons. Aside from the "maybe the official head of our Order should have plausible deniability on the extrajudicial murder of the wife of our head of state," on a personal level that seems very likely to strain our relationship with Regimand, especially come on top of everything else. And we have absolutely no reason to think things would for some reason turn out worse this time then last time when we let Regimand handle it without running to his boss. You know. Because we trusted him, and were quickly proven right to do so.

Unrelated to any of that: QM, in the original thread writing a book (like the Queekish dictionary) took an amount of effort equal to two papers, but here you're listing them as only taking a single AP. Are we being offered a dictation service akin to what Max single did for us to boost or productivity, or what?

Also I'd like to bring this to Abel's attention early, as once we've completed our infodump of critical papers/books (we can publish some anonymously if we can't explain them; that's precedented, albeit for different reasons, in the original thread) I'd very much like to push for Magister. It opens doors for us professionally and politically, and gives us a completely legitimate excuse to study hard to regain spells with the full support and assistance of the Grey College. As noted in the original thread (IIRC) that's a rare opportunity and one a lot of prospective Magisters already make it a point to take advantage of.

Very similar to the existing option, but I'm comfortable with putting a heavier emphasis on suggesting it's probably not worth our time to track down our corrupt predecessor. And I'd like to suggest more overtly that the Watch should be our next focus, as our mistakes last time can be a useful guide, and getting control of the Gong Farmers led to a number of positive developments going forward and replicating that would be very helpful. Which we could even build on. Once we have some dorf favor for Rakilid un Thaggorhun we can get a dwarven expert to talk us through making high-quality niter again. Technically that's redundant with the fact that we remember how, but if you're going to start using dwarven Guild knowledge you'd better have a damn good way to explain that. And we don't have anybody who has the expertise to plausibly have developed the process themselves, I don't think. And once we're selling niter to Zhufbar, it'll be easier to get them on board with backing Stirland's purge again... it's just the start of some good dominoes falling, and I'd like to be sure we can start that going sooner rather than later.

1) There's only Algard and us in the room. Plenty of plausible deniability left. We are both professionals and know when to keep quiet.
2) The future is not set in stone. Who knows what the empress will whisper in the emperor's ear in this timeline.
3) Regimand does not have his list to the same degree as he had it back in DL, because he had more time to assemble it. IIRC we were never told it, we only know Abel's list and whatever we got from that one Dame we killed in her bed.
4) We did try to trust Regimand here as well, it's not our fault he didn't listen. Or rather didn't even allow us to speak quite literally.

Ehhhhhh. I see your point but I disagree a bit and feel it's too long and micromanaging, particularly when it describes what justifications would be going on inside Mathilde's head.

On the principle that Mathilde is a Lady Magister with intelligence training who knows Regimand and Algard better than we do, and Mathilde/QM can fill in the sensible bits of reasoning in the vote for what to say and do.
Saying "if the timeline fits" covers much the same ground as "only after six months have passed" to turn the coin, but also how any Vlag expedition might relate to Mathilde's work in Stirland, how the expedition will be organized this time around (could be anywhere from one waystone expert, to the Army of Kislev getting called out), whether they're planning to wait on Borek and other dwarfs, etc. There's a lot of unknown factors that we don't know, let Mathilde/QM handle those.

I'm giving a roughly 1/2 to 1/3rd discount for AP when rewriting a text you already wrote in the future because only the physical writing remains rather than the phrasing etc.

Dictation service has not currently been made available due to the fact that no-one approved to hear Mathilde's explanations has enough free time to receive dictation; and because it's less useful when she's rewriting old texts - much of max's production boost came from the fact he could work out the proper phrasing for Mathilde's work.

I have made a little table here where I have rated the usefulness of our potential papers and potential temporal trouble.
The three Skaven categories will certainly interest Algard with Queekish and Winning the War Below being a priority in my opinion.

While Waaagh and Peace is a highly useful paper we don't yet have an excuse how we could've gotten that knowledge.

The Matrix is something we could use to reasonably justify our "graduation" to Magister.

I was also super not comfortable with fucking over Regimand when he did the best job he could when dealing with someone who was very obviously not his Apprentice but had stolen her face, which is why I hadn't supported an Algard vote yet. I would prefer something that gives us a chance to repair our relationship with him.

There are currently two dug-out rooms, the first of which is a minor shrine to Ranald.

Additionally no-one bar Mathilde can even access the alley in which the entrance can be found without physically breaking through walls or smashing down doors, and there's no visible evidence that there even is an alley from the outside.

Oh, I misunderstood how you were presenting the options then. You're giving each category (the underlined bit) for 1 AP; I had it in my head that those categories were for organizational purposes and each individual paper was still 1 AP. Makes perfect sense now, it was the apparent discrepancy (in my mind) that was throwing me.
