Where the Hell Am I Now?! (Ranma 1/2 \ RWBY)

Well he is the head of a multi-Kingdom company and they are two kids who aren't exactly the best with the gift of gab.

Great in an attempt to help we end up making things worse.
We truly are Ranma.:(

I know right? I've been loving every second of it; makes it easier to write and get into character!

I agree, this is actually pretty awesome. Shit happens. Crazy shit happens. And pretty no amount of minmaxing munchkin playstyle is gonna stop it, so you might as well just go with the flow.

Ranma is still his cash cow, so he won't do anything to endanger that.

He MIGHT however, make Ranma take charge of the pet catgirl instead. That is, still slave, but his slave and he can't change that without her getting worse.

Although if I'm reading the chakras right, opening Anahata can make the person a 'lord of speech.'

Which, in Ranma's case, probably just makes ki-empowered yells, especially the Yamasenken's yell, super-effective.
If you really wanted to go for the esoteric aspects of the chakras you'll have to do the intense naval-gazing that Ranma is heavily disinclined to do IC. However, opening and refining a chakra will apply minor benefits along the lines of those powers. So...less 'gift of gab' and more 'puts foot in mouth 24 times a day instead of 25'. That's still a markedly better improvement for Ranma though!

Yeah, I figured it'd either be minor or heavily combat slanted.

Well, might as well look at the others and see if there's exploits.

Vishuddha...

Oh come on, this is too easy!

Guilty feeling is the most prominent reason for this chakra to block the Kundalini energy moving upwards?

Well that's piss easy. Ranma is Genma's son and feels no shame at all in doing what it takes to achieve his goals. This chakra is probably damn near pristine.

It's supposed to turn negative experiences into wisdom and learning when open? Ranma already does this shit, he gets the crap beaten out of him and uses the experience to learn new moves and turn them against the people who beat the crap out of him.

When closed, decay and death. When open, freedom from disease and old age is a pretty nice benefit though, and something Ranma may actually pursue. It would certainly explain how so many geezers are still so spry, and the sooner he unlocks the ability to stay at his peak the better. Pretty good actually.

Can be opened with meditation, singing, instrumental music...

Come on. Ranma just starts belting out ballads about how goddamn awesome he is, and instrumental music is vague. Using instruments of destruction to beat up his enemies to a rhythm, well, that's certainly music to Ranma's ears.

But perhaps the most interesting bit:

When Vishuddha is inactive, this nectar is allowed to run downwards into Manipura, where it is consumed, resulting in physical degeneration. Through practices such as khechari mudra, however, the nectar can be made to enter Vishuddha, where it is purified, and becomes a nectar of immortality.

I think Ranma's interested in this. Just to his mind, "This crap is clogging up my Manipura. If I open this, I can clean this stuff out, make my Manipura better at the stuff I like doing, and keep my health longer. This is great!"

Seriously. So far this may be the chakra easiest for Ranma to actually master via enlightenment. He comes about it from completely different angles than what he's meant to, but the result works pretty well for him.

Apparently it's associated with circulation? All things considered, Ranma could use more of that for mastering Soul of Ice. Or at least refining the technique to be less taxing, I think Ender has said that there's some stuff that can be done to make PSoI more effective, even if it is perfect technically.
Missed this part; PSoI is perfect and complete, the bottleneck is in Ranma's physical capability rather than having to further refine the technique. To get more out of the Soul of Ice, Ranma simply needs better ki control and much larger ki reserves. Both of which can be attained through proper vigorous training, chakra opening, and the Neko-Ken "Lolno ain't touching that with a bargepole."

And now I'm trying to scheme how to trick Ranma into mastering Nekoken.

Which is probably a preeeeeeeeetty bad idea. I mean I'm sure there's been worse ideas, but not many.

Hmm. Well, for opening Anahata, perhaps Ranma can just meditate in a pool of water with Yang's hair. Need female, soul of ice, turn girl. Need male, pump Ki into Yang's hair, fire undewater makes it hot. And possibly a sauna.

So Ranma might be able to bypass 'make decisions outside the realm of karma' and unity of male/female at the same time.

Oddly, Ajna may also involve duality, or combination of light/dark, male/female? Interestingly:

The seed syllable for this chakra is the syllable OM, and the presiding deity is Ardhanarishvara, who is a half male, half female Shiva/Shakti.

Well, may help.

Plus it's centered around intuition, which Ranma has in spades. At least when it comes to martial arts, he rocks some crazy insight and clarity in analyzing techniques. It is the last Dantien though.

The Sahasara....well, Ranma's got the 'do-whatever-you-want' down pat. Maybe Ranma can brute force it with perfectionism and desire to have all seven chakras open and have balance in himself.

If the goal is to achieve oneness or beingness, maybe just focusing on PSoI. And nothing but. Just taking in Ki, and putting it out. A little close to enlightenment, but if the goal is mastering PSoI so fully that it's more natural and less taxing on the body, Ranma might pull it off. The emptiness of PSoI will probably. help make it happen

Eh, it's not like it's impossible to master the Neko-ken, just really really difficult. It'd require the right resources backed by the right techniques in the right location. But the rewards, oh man the rewards...

All that needs to be said is that Ranma's barely just scratched the surface of the full power of the Neko-ken.

The pun, it hurts....

Well, best guess I had was Blake using her clones to box Ranma in and make it impossible for him to escape, but also impossible for Neko-Ranma to figure out how to catch and maul her, forcing Ranma to come up with yet another adaptation to win his fight. Probably fairly far off though.

Was unintentional, I swear; I only just noticed it. Dammit...

It was mentioned earlier in thread, but Blake doesn't trigger the Neko-ken; she makes Ranma feel a little uncomfortable, but she doesn't trigger it. You need full blown cats to make him go neko.

Heheh.

Yeah, I remember that actually. Unfortunately we have a shortage of teleporting cats, so straining Ranma's sanity to the point of Blake pushing him over the edge, or putting her a really convincing costume, was the best I had. Alas.

Well, maybe there'll be a grimm to fit the bill.

Teleporting? All you gotta do is make a pitfall trap full of cats and seal the top, or duct tape a cat onto his back and head and he'll snap. Inducing the Neko-ken is easy, especially if you're going about doing it intentionally. It's Steps 2-End that are the main problem...

Oh no, the teleporting was just me thinking of how to make a problem Neko-ken can't easily overcome. Or at least, something so logistically difficult/complicated that Neko-Ranma can't figure out how to beat it on its own, so it has to improvise something new, and it can't just run away from the problem.

Brainstorming and outlining the update now, will probably have it out tomorrow~saturday. But in other news, since some people are a little worried and curious about the NWC; so I made this little chart. I even included some of the RWBY cast too!

Ryoga: ...So ronery...
Kuno: :jackiechan:
Mousse:
Pantyhose Taro: :mad::facepalm:
Happosai: :ogles:
Herb: :drevil::D
Yang: :rage: :rage: (...Yeah, she might still be a little peeved about what you did...just a smidgen...)
Ruby: :???::confused::(
Weiss: See updates
Blake: See updates
Pyrrha: :) on the outside; but on the inside - ...So ronery...

Others may come later, but that's the abbreviated version.

Well, if adding Ki to the hair whip makes it grow, we should apply Ki to the hair still on Yang's head to restore it to it's proper length.

Yes, this is a well thought out plan in which absolutely nothing can go wrong.

Remember; Yang's hair is the limit gauge for her Semblance, the more powered up she gets the more of her hair glows and starts igniting. And you've managed to drop it to an eighth of it's former length. But I'm sure it won't make that much of a difference, right?
Thing I most look forward to is when she finds out we kept it. there is no possible way that could be misinterpreted.
