Here is also a video that goes into more detail about how the unification happened, although it mostly concerns itself with the weapon itself.

Now that you've brought artifacts into a subject, @Ceslas can recovering these items be a long term goal if IC the powers just stumbles into knowledge of ones location?

*cough* *cough*
1. Gnomeregan
2. The Bilgewater Cartel
3. The Steamwheedle Cartel

Just couldn't resist. Plus, changing the fate of Gnomeregan even slightly would be quite interesting.
And yes San, i would like to play a more calm faction that rather supports. ;)

Gnomeregan foreva!
hey if you get Gnomeregan and I get Ironforge so long as you promise to have my back I will have yours! (and please dont explode the radiation bomb either)

oh and I have to be honest about a third of the reason I want to play Ironforge is so I can sing this repeatedly

EDIT: Yes this is part of how I view Dwarves so you can expect me to RP a LOT of drunkenness if I get them.

Further EDIT: I view the Bronzebeard as the 'good, non-nazi German stereotype Dwarves' aka Beer and schnitzel all the time.

The Dark Irons are Russian Dwarves, and the Wildhammer are Scottish/Irish Dwarves.

So to give a rough idea of a Bronzebead Dwarf Considers to be at peace and enjoying it:

Wait, wait, how does the Dark Irons suddenly own Wetlands and Loch modan! those are broadly speaking fairly firmly Ironforge regions, heck Wetlands contains Ironforges main Harbour and Port.

Well I still have Menethil Harbor but the rest are gone... (I still think that bit is off, I should own a bit more of the Wetlands though not much)

However Loch modan even in the game is mostly under Dark iron control... like 60-70%? (well them and Gnolls)

However I do still own a part of Loch Modan too though not much.

From the sounds of things, based on the Dark Iron presence in Dun Modr, the general theme of everything going to heck for the Alliance, the abduction of Moira Bronzebeard, it seems reasonable to presume there was a Dark Iron invasion that was ultimately beaten out of Loch Modan by the start of WOW.

Not the case, they still had like 40-50% during WoW.

Also thank you for threadmarking the Labelled map.

Also, @Ceslas, is Northern Lordaeron in play? I noticed it's split between SC and Scourge, and I typically don't see much done with it since it wasn't in game.

Loch Modan and most of the Wetlands was still secure, outside of the town by the Thandol Span that i forget the name of(and that was apparently a recent loss due to sneak attack), and some temporary camps of Dark irons fighting the guards at the Dam. That is, at the start of WoW anyway.

not true, in the eastern and central parts of Loch Modan there were Dark Iron camps in Quarries and Mines.
