Warcraft: The Rise of the Mag'har

Yes that is understandable but at the same time she attacked with no reason beyond that against an unarmed and Light using Orc priest that just healed a lot of your people.

It was a very dishonorable act and one that is now causing tension between the Humans and Dwarves against the Elves.

BURN!

But yeah she has no right to complain when our own mad people destroyed our homeworld and we are trying our hardest to make up for their sins.

Well, lets take a look at why she could POSSIBLY be like this, shall we?

A good portion of her family was slaughtered, her homeland defiled, the horde showed itself willing to ally itself with the age old enemies of her people, the Amani, and did absolutely nothing to show that they weren't anything but monsters.

And she's been sitting on this rage and thoughts of genocide for several years, thoughts which Turalyon has been trying to get her to stop thinking of. Mind you he thought the orcs were little more than monsters after the revelation he had when Doomhammer killed Lothar.

I get that she hasn't seen the whole story, but she has been angry for a long time, and the events of Beyond the Dark Portal are unlikely to have give it up so easily.

I don't mind the failure, at least Garrosh was still able to walk away alive.

Can't really expect the elves to take it so easily.

Although in terms of trust, there's one race that we can probably trust. In a way.

Trolls, they make it very clear whether they like you or don't.

Fun fact. Elves are trolls. Just ones that had evolved to their current state after being exposed to the well of eternity.

Considering how elf-kind were originally trolls and they were mutated by stuff...
Are we sure that elves aren't basically what happens when trolls get a hereditary, genetic malfunction that causes them to have pride-complexes? :lol

Elf = mentally unstable and physically malfunctioning troll, getting high on the closest magical or divine power.

Is anyone besides me confused on how our characters are going to be badly wounded for a while when we have people that can heal them with the light in our group? And even if the orcs that can use the light aren't good enough there's always the draenai.

In the mean time I am amused at the idea that the Aldor are now wary of the Alliance who attacked one of their priests during peace talks. They didn't even do that to Garrosh when he showed up!
Actually they did attack Garrosh when they first met. It's just the fact he put down his weapons and let them weal on him that caused them to stop and actually talk to him.

It might be a good idea to trade for some weapons so we have at least some Maghar armed well in the near future. Setting up that mine takes a while and even after that we won't immediately have weapons from it.

Velen can probably be convinced to supply some after we share our intel and tell him of our experiences this turn. A Pit Lord is bad news for everyone.

Getting some weapons out of the alliance is probably to much to expect, but we should probably inform them about the intel we gained too. We should ask in return that they share their current intel on the demons and the Horde. Maybe ask them what they know about the condition of the rest of Outland as well.

Look at it this way guys. At the moment we're more or less secure so we can take a couple of months to build back up and heal from the damage. By that time we should have the Black Iron mine running and will have fixed our armor and weapon problem.

This. Let's rebuild our forces and scout around the Zangar.

Go talk with the Sporelings since we are setting up in their home area.

Let's look into that shadow magic scroll we got awhile back since it can be useful.

Set up our mines so that we can use metal weapons and armor.

Hope that Burning Blade Blade Master wakes up next turn since most of our heroes are down and we could use another one in general.

To be unfair to her, her race isn't the one literally paved into the Path of Glory, and the Draenai are finding it in themselves to forgive us.

True. Then again she doesn't have a racial Jesus/Moses telling her that peace is the way to go :p

To @everyone else though I will note that Alleria is particularly rage/crazy at the orcs. She is known to be suicidaly-manic-furious considering orcs, and was also on the outs with Turalyon even before you guys showed up despite or perhaps in part with her kid. Half-Elves are, apparently, usually abandoned/ignored by their elf parents. Which certainly puts their son's lines being centralized about only looking for his dad in WoW canon into perspective...

@torroar will we have the option to study that shadow magic scroll next turn now that we have a free learning action?

It can be very useful for us in general and we need every advantage we can get to fight the Fel Horde and the Burning Legion.

Let's avoid the Shadow Magic for now, we have a fuck load of advantages that we're working on but what we need to do is get around to really hammering them into shape and building them up. (ie Arcane stuff, the new Clefthoof cavalry, Priests, Blackrock & Iron, and Zangarmarsh)

Just thought it would be something we should at least look into because I'm sure it would help in intrigue based actions an creating even more bullshit stealth units with maybe us getting a Orc version of Troll Shadow Hunters which would be useful since we can't face the Fel Horde head on right now.

Along that line of thought a Shadow Fury that we could directly talk to would be kind of cool.

A 'Long Time' when in the Month-long turns is technically not that bad when considered against a Yearly context. If this was a full year turn, it wouldn't even register in the long run.

Trolls already have said "hereditary genetic malfunction that causes them to have pride-complexes". In addition to cannibalism(and slightly bigger grudge-complexes).

Elves are simply held to a higher moral standard. And, much like the Trolls, they consistently screw themselves over in addition to being screwed over by circumstances beyond their control.

Warcraft Elves and Warcraft Trolls, when you get down to it. Are not so different.

Now I can't help to find it amusing that a high elf of all persons can't find it in herself to forgive those guys who got horribly screwed over by the legion.

Truth to be told Elves and Orks aren't that different in their screwups.

You raise a valid point.

On the other hand, it's an Elf.

I think we all know the best response to this.

Realize that they don't easily shift allegiance as expected from a long-lived(and arguably conservative) race?

Look at all the crap Kael'thas put up with from the Alliance during Warcraft 3. Alleria decided she hates Orcs, kind of hard to change her mind.

In some ways, they're nearly as stubborn as the Dwarven stereotype.
