While we fight him, we should have as many shadow viziers as possible try to mentally dominate him. It could give our own hero a humongous advantage, and it also goes well with fighting smarter, not harder.

Maybe see if we can ice up the ground in front of his initial charge too, see if we can trip him up.

A Duel

You charge at Gomok without a moment's hesitation. Your four armored legs carry you swiftly across the snow. A growl builds in your throat as the Magnataur Warchief looms closer. An impressive Magnataur specimen if there ever was one, nearly twice your height with the bulk to match as you observe bulging muscles visible even through his thick, coarse brown hair.

"FIGHT ME!" Gomok bellows once more and…

Surprise: Needed 55/100 Rolled 47/100

He turns around, snorting as he as he catches sight of you from the corner of his eyes. The Warchief raises halberd and meets your charge with his own, lowering his halberd, intent on skewering your face.

Collision: Needed: 60/100 Rolled 68/100

At the last second you adjust your course, jerking your body to the right with preternatural swiftness and parry Gomok's halberd across the left pauldron of your exoskeleton. Sparks fly out as it slices across the surface. You lash out with your scythe-like forearms, plunging them deep into Gomok's right leg as you crash into it.

Retaliation: Needed: 55/100 Rolled: 45/100

He holds as all twelve-thousand pounds of you hits him hard. Hot blood fountains out from severed muscles and bone, but Gomok stands, impossibly. Too close to strike at your unarmored face Gomok goes for plates protecting your neck up above. He strikes with all his might, roaring in pain and rage and as he stabs with the sharp tip of his halberd and you feel the plates start to give way.

Move!: Needed 55/100. Rolled: 46/100

You push forward, cursing as the tip of the halberd pierces through and starts to rip the top of your neck. Green ichor flows down your neck as your forearms finally sever Gomok's right leg at its knee and you stumble forward.

Impaled: Needed: 55/100. Rolled: 60/100

Gomok starts to titer, leaning over. He still grips his halberd, still pressing it down, intent on taking you with him. You feel it gorge into the side of your neck, nearly halfway through it. It is the only thing keeping him up. Ichor bubbles out your mouth as you dive underneath his bulk, ripping away the halberd's long tip out your neck, tearing out a jagged wound as it goes.

(Anub'Rekhan gains trait: Moderately Injured. -1 to all stats for 1 year. Anub-Rekhan Gains trait: Mute. Can't talk -3 Diplomacy)

Finish Him! Needed: 55/100 Rolled 79/100.

Gomok starts to topple and you slam your head up against his underside. The long and curved edge of your blade-like horn easily carves into muscle and bone and you drag it forward in a dash. Blood and guts spills out his belly and paint your exoskeleton red as Gomok falls forward. His heavy weight presses against you and you push it off, happily tossing the fallen Warchief to the side.

Victory!

Title Gained: Magnataur Slayer

Anub-Rekhan Loses Trait: Stressed.

Status: Relieved.

Close fight but we won!

Injuries will heal up before the war starts so thats good.

What we need is to somehow heal his throat. Maybe a healing potion?

The general of our army can't speak! Ugh. We definitely need to put research into advanced healing methods when we find out how.

Time to work on those potions, specifically ones for regeneration.

We cannot have our military commander unable to speak.
and ninjad.

Just checked Anub-Rekhan's sheet, and saw the changed description up above, and it looks like Mute just effects Diplomacy, so it's not too bad until we fix it. Though he should take it easy until both Injured traits go away.

And he got rid of Stressed so that's great!

There is probably a way to restore his voice, considering the large variety of magical arts present in Warcraft.

Also, this effectively ends the threat of the Magnataur, since Gomok was pretty much the only thing keeping them somewhat cohesive.

We should cut off the leaders head and raise it high into the air for all to see, it'll demoralize the enemy and improve our troops moral.

You say that like we aren't slaughtering the rest of the army and carting the meat off as rations/Maexxna food.

Considering how aggressive the Magnataurs are to just about everything I doubt the groups we are trying to talk to will complain too much.

We still have the Frost Troll test subjects. They can heal from crazy injuries like cut off limbs and our experiements on them. Maybe we can use their blood or something in potions to make crazy regneration possible for our people.

Also feed the enemy to Maexnna.
