I'm willing to offer all the troll slaves we have to the Loa if it means they give us the means to hunt down everyone of the cultist.

The cultists were there all along. And I suspect if we left the Saronite alone they'd have gotten some for their own research.

We need the Saronite research to complete successfully so we know how to decontaminate, AND purge the cultists we know about, because there are other cultists out there, armed with Saronite to contaminate stuff with.

If we didn't crit fail the cultist action they wouldn't have been anywhere near as widespread as they are though.

The problem is the projects already got cultists in it.

Can we at least shut it down, do the purge then start it back up again?

If we do the purge we're replacing the entire team to begin with. And the team is currently our best lead to finding out the other cultists, they are the only in character known group of cultists.

So no, shutting it down won't help aside from cost us a ton of money and a bit of time.

I would think that purges of Old God cultists are common in Nerubian society and are explosive popualtion would keep the loss in population from negatively effecting us or our reputation.

It's all ready impossible to critfail the rolls because of the +20 the DD on it gives. Even if we don't put RA on Saronite it has an 80% chance of success.

We suspiciously found absolutely no Old God followers last turn. Even when prior events at the outposts have told us there is a definite chance that they exist and will be working their way into the city. We can suspect in-character that the last investigation may have been compromised. Also, this time Anub-Rekhan wishes for a purge as well.
