Well, the Survey Crit got us an undead to study on and knowledge of the Dreadlords. So that's actually pretty good.

Plus Golems getting finished sooner means that we can use them now to guard the ways to the Old Kingdoms and we can start Undead research next turn.
 
When we crit-success we eliminate all detriments and get massive rewards. The Old God's crit success may mean that all the assassins we assigned to the purge and all the scientists were entirely indoctrinated.

Basically, we gave the Old Gods a research team and an team of assassins.

So, our agents are most likely compromised, along with the saronite researchers, and it's almost certain we have a rather large cult in our midst. We absolutely have to spend the next turn rooting out this problem.
 
At least the Double Down and RA mitigated it a bit so that we're dealing with compromised individuals instead of full subversion. If it wasn't for them we'd be breaking open the Deeps right now.

Maybe we can get the Explorers' Guild to help with the problem.
