Warcraft: Fallen Kingdoms (Old)

I'll agree to becoming a Paladin if we can start using our personal actions in order to improve our martial ability, or our warfare ability.

We are srrounded by enemies, we should be learning those first.
I'm not sure what you mean by this, we've been improving our Martial through Personal actions from the start.

Hmm, I'm starting to think that becoming priest might be the better choice over becoming a paladin. With such a choice, as a Holy priest, we'd be really emphasizing the 'help the people' side of our Scarlet Crusade over the 'smite the undead' part. Anything that helps keep the crusade on track is a good thing.

Can still go with a Holy Paladin!

We have only chosen it twice, and we should keep on choosing it until we are past 20 at least, not going to talk with the priest who may still turn us to his point of view that everything non human can't be trusted.

Okay this is getting a little out of hand for me how about we ask what Genezz thinks and if these paths are even available to us?

Why do we need to contact the nigh elves for that? All we need to do is to combine the training of an Archer and Priest just like how the combined training of a Warrior and Priest created the Paladin.
pretty sure it quite that simnple and well the preistess of Elune are basically what you described.

though if we're discussing pet ideas for troops mine would a battlemage variant based around exploiting the ever loving hell out of the blink spell for hit and run attacks on scourge forces, blink knights or something like that.

I agree that we should work on the priest in moderation, we've already convinced him to tone down the zealotry a bit, better if we first:
A. Learn to handle Clarent first before improving our martial some more with Alexandros Mograine(personal badass option, not risking damage to the Legendary weapon).
B. Learn some intrigue from Invar One-Arm before getting started on Grand Strategy with Saidan(Tactical genius option, least likely to get us poisoned or killed in our sleep).
C. Throw caution in the wind and spar with Mograine(we won't damage Ashbringer... probably) before learning strategy from Saidan.

Edit: one of, not all. just basic paths for the intermediate future.

... I'd rather not risk sparing with Morgriane until we have Clarent's glow under control I'd rather noT risk wounding our greatest asset with no cause.

I rather continue to have Angelica be the ruler than taking any other class for now.

And i think after this we should at least get some intrigue, if only to fix the sad points of intrigue we have.

Though i agree that we need to train with Saidan in warfare soon, once we reach stratholme we'll need every commander possible.

I definitely agree in regards to Intrigue, but regarding the warfare-training, I think we should wait until we have a second personal action.

Very true. Combat abilities or other classes should definitely be on the back burner for a while.
The issue is more that the warfare-training will take up 4 months/turns during which we won't get any more personal actions, which limits our ability to react to events. Hence why I'd rather put it off, and stay flexible in case any issues crop up that either require or benefit from a personal action. And if not, it's still additional time that we can use to increase our closeness with the other leaders of the SC.

It depends, understanding Clarent may only give a combat boast or like Morgaine's ashbringer title also help with something else but who knows how long that will take.

Well, it's one successful action to not accidentally activate it.

I figure that the not accidentally activating it will either automatically teach us how to activate it on purpose or have it as an option for the turn after at which point it should give us somewhat decent anti-hero capabilities(Assassins, elite demons, crypt lords etc.).

This would be sufficient for us to safely spar again without risking damage to Ashbringer.

So, allowing for a single failure it should take about 2-3 turns.

Unlocking the anti-army capabilities will probably take a while longer though...

Assuming it has anti army abilities, though if it does that's a possible way to deal with Necropolises.

Guess we won't know until we've practised the anti-hero abilities...
Yeah though even that is pretty impressive cleaving though sword and armor is not and given that those were probably of a quite good level of enchantment, yeah we get it under control and it's going to suck to fight against Angelica quite a lot.

Attack on Corin´s Crossing: Corin´s Crossing is the closest concentration of Scourge troops that can threaten us, so taking it out is vital, it will also be the first major attack for the Crusade and as such must succeed, a failure here will damage the people trust in us and cost us precious soldiers and equipment.
Cost: 2500. Time: 1 Month. Chance for Success: 100% Reward: Attack Interlude.

-Interlude later.

Outpost - Eastwall Tower: Setting up an outpost at Eastwall Tower would grant us an early warning if the Scourge started to move their troops south or if the Trolls decide to send raiding parties towards us. It would also help us protect the few refugees that are still in the north
Cost: 1000. Time: 1 Month. Chance for Success: 70% Reward: Eastwall Tower as an outpost, early warning of northern attack, 3d100 Refugees each month, Outpost Upkeep -500. Required: 30. Rolled: 55

-General Abbendis was placed in charge of taking the Undercroft. The attack started great, we were able to take out the undead outside the Crypt without any casualties, it was only when our troops descended into the crypt that we encountered problems, the crypt tunnels were like a maze, twisting in on each other, leading to dead ends or more tunnels.

The undead, being more familiar with the layout, used this to ambush our troops, while our soldiers managed to defeat the ambushes, they did take losses. Pushing further in, our soldiers cleared the crypt one tunnel at a time, until they found the main area and the leader of the undead trolls, a undead dire troll, named Zaeldarr the Outcast by the people at Light´s Hope Chapel.

Ordering his soldiers to engage the bodyguards of the dire troll, Abbendis charged forward into battle with the enemy leader, it was a tough fight, Zaeldarr was strong, tough and would never tire, Abbendis on the other hand was fast and with the help of the Light he was able to heavily wound the undead troll, he could also use the Light to protect himself against the blows he could not dodge, in the end though Abbendis won and killed Zaeldarr.

Taking a second to catch his breath, Abbendis orders his troops to continue clearing the mine and to search the area for any clues. A couple of hours later the entire crypt is cleaned of undead and they have recovered the bodies taken from the various cemeteries and are preparing to transport them to the Chapel, they also found some treasure and a letter from a troll named Hameya.

The treasure, mostly gold and other valuables alongside some weapons and armor, has been put into quarantine incase the undead has put any nasty surprises on the items, the letter on the other hand had some useful information on the plans the Scourge has for the trolls in the north, Hameya is to infiltrate Zul'Mashar and spread the undead plague amongst the trolls and bring them to the Lich Kings side, with this information we will be able to intercept Hameya and stop him, if we want to. Reward: Undercroft cleared of Undead, Bodies returned to Light´s Hope Chapel, Light´s Hope Chapel is grateful, Tainted? Treasure, Information on Hameya, -50 Scarlet Crusaders.

One night as you were preparing to study the books you were given, you accidently knocked over one of the book piles, kneeling down to pick them up, you find a book you didn´t recognize, looking it over you see that it is a book with a plain brown cover and a title you can´t read as it is in a language you don´t know, curious you open the book but as expected you can´t read what it says, closing the book and putting it down, you decide to try and translate it. Reward: +4 Piety, You and Isillien are now Close Acquaintances, Knowledge of the Light increased, Book Gained: ???.

Yeah, that hurts, but at least our infrastructure looks to be in good shape, with the good results on our survey.

Plus, the NAT 100 on PIETY RAISING.

Yeah... we got very low rolls on rather critical stuff. That sucks, but what can we do.

Yeah, this is kind of how the Scourge works--they tend to use infiltration and sabotage to bring down someone they can't just roll over.
