I'd like one more exam prep before the big test so were certain to get the number one spot, but this seems prudent. We can be pretty sure a sabotage is coming and we'll want to be ready to do our own.

Can we not hit Thomases Alchemy? If he fails he will have to repeat the class. With us in it. It's actually in our interest that he passes it so we aren't in a cold war in same classroom in second semestar.

In Runic Theory there seems to be a option to test out of it into Runic Practice, so either of us can do it at any point in time to advance further ahead. So not much point stopping him there. We will probably get enough Lore: Runes to test out too through the time chamber.

As such, only place where we can interrupt him is Magical Theory. Getting him into the Remidial class.

There is also the option of leaving him be, since he has not actually bugged us for the last few weeks, but that may be crazy talk, right?

He did try to sabotage us in that Magical Theory exam towards the beginning. And he ruined poor Henrietta's reputation with Inukar too. I say we off him of the class all of our allies would be on, less trouble down the line.

What if we got caught trying to pull the stunt though? The administration might take it more seriously seeing that it's a final exam..

We need to know if they're gonna hit us before the exams. If not, we can decide then and there whether to pursue further action but we need to know first.

Might be too late to the party to change minds. But here's what this vote does for us. It get Henrietta to close friend unlocking w/e her bonus for that would be. It most likely gets us something with Miranova, and DC 40 plus our Soul and Spirit rolls makes it a fairly easy roll to pass. Who knows if it matters, but getting relationship with them now might offer more adventures to choose from when the break comes after exams. But there are tangible benefits even discounting that possibility.

Sucking up to her might get us additional goodies for the time chamber, why not.

You can't use Willpower on Magic Pool. And we have the Weekend to use it. Willpower regenerates every 2 turns, this is first one.

Hanging out with Henrietta guarantees a relationship raise it looks like, and having someone at close friend enhances an option. I'm guessing she would enhance studying in some way.

NOTE: Officially on hiatus
Sorry to do this to my OG Quest crew.

I started a new Quest on the side, with an idea I thought was interesting and unexplored but I believed would be unpopular.

I thought I'd get two, three core questers, a few people wandering in, and maybe a couple of omake writers - a nice small little Quest to occasionally dip into.

In roughly six months (discontinuously, admittedly), Vorstallen generated around 70 pages of discussion. The new quest has done half that that in about one week.

Questers have written forty thousand words of omake, and to be honest, it's taking up far more of my time and energy than I anticipated.

I kept thinking 'it'll slow down, it'll slow down, give it a few days and I'll get right back to Vorstallen'. I don't think that's going to happen in the immediate future (both fortunately and unfortunately).

I absolutely intend to come back to Vorstallen at some point, but I can't do Vorstallen and manage the other quest at the same time - so until things stabilize, Vorstallen is on hiatus.

Oh man, that's too bad.

Of course it's your choice and your content, but your take on the xianxia quest just didn't grab me. On the other hand, this one I anticipated new chapters for like every week.

Anyway, good luck with the other quest and hopefully we see you back here sooner rather than later.

In all honesty, I thought that'd be the general consensus.

'Old guy managing sect' was, I thought, a very unpopular idea that would appeal to an incredibly niche group of readers at best. I just thought it'd be interesting to write from the perspective of one of those MC stepping stones (effectively) and really flesh out one small part of a xianxia world over time - something xianxia is typically really bad at.

It's why I felt comfortable writing it, I was like 'man, there's a 0% chance this takes off, it'll be a great little side project nobody pays much attention to that won't take up much of my time or effort - something to write when I'm stuck on Vorstallen'.

Shows what I know about what people like, hah!
