The idea here? This must be a very cathartic moment for Pete, finally stopping that guy from killing Uncle Ben. So that wall he built to protect himself from the craziness of his life and his losses would break, just a little. He'd then start blabbering, trying to explain everything, but it might be misunderstood. So instead of, "I'm a time traveller" it's more "I saw a possible future".
 
Time to put that newly obtained FAMILY perk...to persuade FAMILY.
