Unexpected Glory (A CK2-style Quest)

[] Plan: Beginning the Great Game
-[] Build a Rapport: Esther (Spend time getting to know her, and get a feel for her general personal reaction from you investigating her | Apologize, but mention that pragmatically, it was necessary as she is an unknown)
-[] Investigate: Esther
-[] Write-In: Friendly, but cautious (You appreciate the idea, but do keep some suspicions about you. )
-[] Write-In: At the moment you'll provide reasonable support to him, however, you request he meets you in Port Helm so both of you can discuss this plan more in-depth and hash out more intimate details there in person rather than over the unsafe medium of papers.
-[] Write to Miklam: Give an overview of recent events. Ask for advice on what to look for when playing political games, and implications of nobles' invitations.

The plan is up, and with the "request for a personal meeting" I hope we can have a sort of mini-turn that allows us to propose the coalition that'll keep the seas cleared of Pirates and other rabble, while suppressing internal bandits and Orcs while ensuring infrastructure like Roads are taken care of as well as bringing economic prosperity to both our houses, and the people of this land.

Obviously, he's offering a political alliance, but I plan on pushing that just a little further. After all at the moment, we're pretty much City-States looking to end up as King - though this is all viewed through the eye of medieval feudalism.

Edit:

[X] Plan: Friendly Esther and Dominic

I'm gonna say that Dom is better to rapport in addition to Esther. Maybe doing rapport with her will lower the DC for investigate!

Well, now the vote will be open until the tie is broken, one way or another. Or if it isn't broken, then I'll be flipping a coin eventually.

However, while we're waiting, did anyone who has one want to use a cookie or a Dice manipulation on any of the options that won in the last vote? This one:

[X] Plan Navy, Reputation, & What's Going On Here?
-[X] Recruit Naval Crews
-[X] Master and Commander
-[X] Squabbling Neighbors
-[X] Music and Lyrics
-[X] Gather Information
-[X] Late Night Shipping
-[X] Corwyn Trade Center
-[X] Assist the Displaced
-[X] Improved Galleon
-[X] Sorcery At Large

I haven't rolled any of the dice yet, so you can still decide to do so, up until the current vote closes sometime in the next 5-6 hours. You can also spend cookies on the personal actions, although not the training ones, nor the communications. Just something to think about, since a couple of you have built up quite a backlog.

@StormyAngel gonna use a cookie on Master and Commander. Please give us a great general!

This has to be the slowest moving vote I've ever seen.

I don't really want to do a coin flip though, so I'm going to wait a little longer.

I mean, I can end this right now.

Do you really believe it's better to build rapport with Dom then investigate Esther. If so, I'll change my vote and end this one lol.
I mean personally yes, since I believe that if we build rapport with Esther, she'll become a bit warmer with us, but it will take time for her to lose suspicion. We're already telling her why we were spying on her in the rapport action, so I just wanna hold off on the investigation for at least a turn.
Like, we just told her "I know it's bad that I spied on you..." then go "but Papa Rick's gotta spy anyhoo!" Would probably piss her off more.

And we haven't had a chat with our good friend, what gives?

omae wa mou shindeiru!

Also I didnt even know there was a vote /turn until I saw qm post. What's up with that..

It's okay, things start off a little slow and they'll eventually pick up. It's the way things happen to be. I'm sure they'll be a bigger list of folks to drown me out soon enough.

I can't deny this would be nice (not the drowning you out part, but the picking up). On that note, I guess I should go finish writing the mini-turn for Master and Commander so that I can post it up first thing in the morning.
