Under the Open Sky (CWMGQ Spinoff)

Okay for those who don't follow discord, we hashed out the idea of asking Grey to allow us to Wave Force the area with justinkal and kelllogo (namely that OP works on us because Grey is poised to stab us, and asking her to back off won't reveal our allegiance blatantly, only that we're afraid of stabs), and I added it to my plan. Some fifteen minutes ago.

Also, I figure that attracting the Drives' attention (like sending a signal flare or something straight up) will probably be my third venue of approach before going on for Gehaburn on the fourth - unless something convinces me otherwise.

[X] Plan Faraway-R

If she isn't actually Marked, which does surprise me a bit, talk might, might, just work. fingers crossed

I think the best plan is to keep talking. Like, what is she going to do, kill Summit? Because that has worked so well for her so far. (not)

So it is a good thing I checked what all the plans out so far are before posting this!

[X] Plan Faraway-R

If Anna ends up gaining a couple thousand experience from the rest of this mission (a long shot, but I bet things will escalate over time) I'm all for putting it into 10 levels of Aegis field.

After all, narratively you could say its her powers evolving to keep her from getting one-shot by Goddess Grey's normal attacks.

I'm not confident this will work but I'm pretty sure this is going to have to take multiple resets anyways so might as well get some information and attempt at talking first since I imagine a few resets of fighting will make Grey much less likely talk.
You might be surprised.
So, I haven't seen much comment on this, but it's an interesting reply. Suggesting that fighting may make her more likely to talk. Sheer annoyance leaking through from having to fight repeatedly making her more open to talking?

It was this exchange actually that made me think that talking more might work. And in fact, my plan somewhat takes your interpretation into account by possibly trying to make Grey vent.

However when I read the exchange in the first place my own interpretation was somewhat more conservative than yours - namely that Grey's inclination to listen and respond will not meaningfully degrade, no more and no less.

And it's not that I disagree with yours, it's that yours exceeds my best expectations.

[X] Plan Faraway-R

Not completely opposed to grabbing the sword (it's so shiny!), but it is, at minimum, something we can't undo with unknown consequences. Best to make sure that it really is our only option.

The Mark on Grey probably suffered the same fate as the ones on all the other MGs Solid Core rescued.
So for those who aren't aware: Activating core purge is an interruptible action, and Grey has the ability to do that. "Core purge, fly at it" would not suffice versus Grey like it has for most things in mainline.

I'm confused. Why would we have Anna Core Purge? That isn't even a skill/ability that she has.

Or are you referring to the other Core girls and what they may do?

Tallamee's comment was referencing how Solid Core's plan whenever she fights someone with a command seal basically boils down to "activate core purge > fly at them > win", and I was pointing out that that would not be without issue vs GGrey, and thus it cannot be safely assumed she is markless just because she fought Solid Core.

I see, that clears it up for me. Thanks.

From my recollection of the past few pages of this thread, GGrey is not marked presently and so I made an estimate as to how that could have come to pass.
Citation for reference:
Just to clear things up, Goddess Grey does not presently have an active seal from Goddess Red.

I would certainly not be advocating for plans that presume GGrey is markless from an in-character perspective, as this information comes from outside that context. If this was information from within a story post I would be more dubious of its accuracy.
