I don't think it was in his power to do that. Some celestial being decided UE should be reincarnated.

Anyway @pancakes and anyone else who is arguing over who is stronger. Can we drop the conversation? If we go any further it would not be related to the quest.

I'm thinking 2 updates/year for years two, three, and four. After that I'll either increase to 3/year or 4/year depending on events. Once we hit genin updates will be based more on missions and the general narrative than a time period.

So MC won't be losing all of Tobirama's memories, shell retain something like 30-40%. In addition, the rolls will allow her to 'remember' important things from those memories, potentially gaining all Tobirama's skillset.

In addition, you have the massive training bonus at the beginning, plus an added indefinite training bonus, along with the reputation gains with Konoha and the massive water affinity. It may not seem like much now, but once we hit 'A' that will be effectively a +1600 exp bonus, +3200 if we ever hit 'S'

I totally understand what you're saying. I didn't mean to say I was choking the rewards, I'm just going to be a *bit* stingy with them as a whole. I feel like Chakra sensing, a trainer option, reputation gains, and an increased chance for more trainer options is a pretty decent reward. Do you feel differently?

If anyone else thinks that I'm choking the dice too much let me know. This is my first quest so I'm not exactly used to distributing rewards, and if you all think I should be a bit more generous I'll keep that in mind for the future and I'll consider changing things after the fact, but if you think it's fine as is I'll continue at the same rate.

Would it? Orochimaru, at this moment, is still lauded as a Hero, being a member of the Legendary Sannin.
It might cause problems when/if he goes rogue (butterflies man), but we hopefully will have advanced extremely far such that we don't suffer the same pit-falls that Anko did.

"If we ever"? Are you planning on Bad Ending before Tobi regains his S-skills? Because he certainly used to have them, and regaining them should be relatively assured if we don't die first.

That would only cause his Ninjutsu skills to maybe (emphasis on maybe, I highly doubt he wasn't very skilled at all types, given his experiments) not hit S-rank. There's still all the other shit, like Taijutsu.

If I remember correctly people still found him creepy and were off put by him at best.

Kinda feels weird to not see that appended with "currently alive", considering that Tobi would be familiar with just how OP his brother and Madara were (far above even Sarutobi).

Think you could do a Orochimaru Quest thing, where the descriptions of people and their skills are from Tobi's POV? It'd be rather fun to see what such a seasoned veteran thinks of everyone, and it'd make it easier to keep track of what Tobi knows about the modern world. Like, he probably knows from the historical accounts everything that is currently listed, but he probably personally knew the various kage and how tough they were and could more personally judge how impressive Sarutobi's feat is.

I don't recall that. I'm pretty sure they were all rather beloved by the general populace. Those who actually knew him might have thought he was a tad creepy, but still respected his skills and what he had done for the village.

S rank is, by definition, minimum for a Kage. And he was Kage. I'm pretty sure that Tobi could atleast keep up with Orochimaru in a fist fight, and Orochimaru is S+++ in Taijutsu.

I'm honestly not 100% certain at this point. Most likely I'll have it so that a series of low rolls in a tense situation unlock it. I'm thinking something like three near-critical failures (<20) in a row in some sort of life or death situation.

That's the only thing I can think of that seems fair at the moment; however, there's no chance of the sharingan unlocking before year four so if anyone has any suggestions I'd be more than willing to listen.

I'm not sure if it should be tied solely to a luck factor like that, though it would be amusing if we manage to become a full-grown Uchiha without a Sharingan, simply because we were too awesome to ever fall into a hard enough time that we would NEED it.

Maybe after a certain amount of chakra control, give chances to artificially unlock it, or give chances to have it unlock from previous life stressors.
