My thinking is largely that the things with bonuses are more likely to see progress, and that a solid understanding of the interceptor fist style will combo well with our insane senses, admittedly I'd like some more speed to go with that, but I figure we can go for that next time when our limbs are a bit longer.

Fortunately even if the bonuses don't stack perception also covers another four senses, if this is Kakashi's era Null Man Mu is still about, not to mention there's always mist ninjas, so perception seems important.

This is the stupid thing Naruto SI fics really. Highly encrypted? Yes, because someone finding that won't be a one way trip to T&I at all.

We are a CHILD. Encryption is idiotic to the extreme!

Instead of writing memories down we could attempt to simply review them a lot, or write stuff down and immediately destroy it.

Correction, we are a Genius. We are naturally expected to excel in all things. What's more, its hardly a rare thing for (slightly older) kids to mess around with secret codes and languages to try to hide stuff (probably even more common among ninja, since keeping secrets is a ninja thing), a simple example being pig Latin. The only unusual thing would be how good our code is. Also, unless whoever is looking at it suspects something ti the max, they wouldn't care to put enough work into it to see how securely encrypted it is.

Also also, the best encryptions involve people not even knowing it's encrypted. Like making it look like your normal childs diary, but of you take ever 3rd letter you get something else (basic example).

What would we have a diary for and the hell would we write in it? Having one in and of itself is suspect purely due to having no friends.

Only people with friends keep diaries? I personally thought there was a negative corellation between "having friends" and "keeping a diary".

Anyways, to answer your questions, we'd have one because we want one (if anyone finds a kid wanting a diary strange, well, we are a strange kid). As for what we would be (seeming to) put in it, whatever we want. Could write little stories, could bitch and moan about not getting second deserts, could act excited about something our teachers are teaching us, could write about how we wish we could relate to kids our age, yada yada yada.

My concern is more 'what would we put in our diary' than anything else. Having friends means we could write about our day.

Of course my view may be limited.

Extremely limited indeed. You use Diaries for more than just describing your day with your friends dude. Have you even looked at one before?
Writing about feelings, thoughts and goals are all part of what you can put in one.
