To Rule The Skies

[X] "They can try. But if they invade my territory they will pay dearly. This mine is mine!" Let the guards and workers leave unharmed, after they pull out everything they already mined out of your mine.

[X] "Not if nobody is alive to tell them about it..." Kill them all. You'll still have to deal with the workers inside the mine, afterwards.

Kill all the warriors, then have the kobolds dig out the workers. Nobody to even report the color of dragon

I apologize, I was really busy the entire week (and the next two days will be even busier).

I might not be able to update until the weekend.

Just wanted to let everyone know.

A dragon quest? And I'm late in joining it? Bummer. Also I'm a bit sad we let them live instead of killing them all, don't want them to start sending armies and dragonslayers when our wound has not completely healed yet.

Take your time though, I've enjoyed what I read so far and would love to participate once the next update arrives.

Rawr!

when our wound has not completely healed yet.
Your wound has healed, but you do have a scar which isn't going to go away anytime soon (unless you find someone who excels in plastic scale surgeries :V).

Thank you, and welcome to the quest :)

'Til then, we can probably bodge it with the services of a good enough smith.

Armour is a thing, after all. :V

Shall we go full Deathwing and have Dwarves/Goblins meld an armor into our body? Granted that's not only expensive but might also stunt our growth since I don't think this is our full size yet. I want my Ancalagon sized dragon dammit.

I see nothing wrong with a good battle scar. You know what they say about chicks digging scars. This can only help our plan to take over a kingdom by some kind of marriage scam con game. :V
Battle scars is one thing, but this goes beyond that: This is Voonerables! Everyone knows that dragons die if you get them in the Voonerables!

I'd like our weak point to be armored in case someone shoots an arrow there.

You know, like what happened to Smaug.

Given the Kobold's tools... We might have to commission that out of house. And maybe even one that can keep up with our shape-changing.

Covering it with armor is certainly possible, but it is a show of weakness. After all, if you were an invincible dragon you wouldn't bother wearing armor.

Basically, not wearing armor would seem more intimidating, which has its own usefulness.

Of course, if you get a full suit of armor that would be another case, since a fully armored dragon is quite scary. However, getting a full suit of dragon armor (as opposed to just a plate that covers the chest) won't be easy.

I'd suggest not to destroy that settlement, but leave its infrastructure for the further use of our (future?) minions.

It's the humans' own fault if they build their "civilization" near the monster races. I'm sure whatever mining settlement a human can man, so can a hobgoblin.

If we do manage to get a full suit of dragon armor would it slow down our growth? Or will we keep growing and have to eventually get a bigger armor? For that matter are we done growing or can we reach Ancalagon size in the distant future?

If we make it magically able to grow it should be fine, though I might want to get the armor updated anyway. With reliefs of our notable accomplishments. Maybe get them to reenact the scene through magic...
