[x] It's time to set out, you've had enough of chatting. Go out to hunt. But before that, you better ask Barl for information about...
-[x] The mountains themselves. Are there any more settlers here which you might want to deal with?
"The mountains…" Barl thinks for a moment before replying, "Near the bottom of the north eastern part of the mountain ridge there is a mine operated by the human kingdom Belcia. It's not strictly in our part of the mountains, but it is the closest military outpost I know of."
Belcia… You remember that name. It's a pretty large kingdom, with plenty of farms villages and poorly guarded villages (at least, that's the impression you got). That kingdom is where the hero who has beaten you was raised and trained.
"Anything else?" You ask, deep in thought.
"There are some other kobold and goblin tribes that live in the mountain, but they aren't a threat. We also encountered some dwarves in the western parts of the mountain ridge, but we don't know where their city is."
You never got to fight dwarves a lot. The little buggers tend to build their city underground, and they don't tend to leave many openings in your size. You've heard a lot about the fortune of the dwarves, but getting to it will be tricky…
You look at Barl, but it doesn't seem like he has anything else tell you. Which is good, because your wings are itching to be spread wide and take you off.
"One more thing" You turn your body to the exit but glance back with one of your shining eyes, "The area down there is my lair. If any of you dare step even one foot in there…" You trail off, since it's clear by the kobolds faces that they understand your point.
You don't grace them with more attention and step out of the ruined castle. The light feels pleasant on your scales and you close your eyes for a moment as you focus on the smell of the outside world.
You bend your limbs and extend your wings before jumping up while slamming down your wings at the same time, launching you high into the air.
Within moments of flapping your wings the castle you call your home becomes a much smaller feature along the extending landscape. You can see the slopes of the mountains around you, along with valleys and rivers.
Birds fly away the moment they notice your presence, and the land animals hide the moment they witness your shadow. You enjoy this moment with nature, one untainted by human presence.
Few birds can't manage to escape from you and you bite them from the air with a single bite before diving downwards to catch a small deer.
You want to get to business as soon as possible so you hunt efficiently instead of drawing it out and getting to enjoy it. Eventually, you find yourself eating the remains of a bear near a small lake that has a narrow river leading out of it.
You drink your fill of the lake, enjoying the cold water. Finally, you feel healthy again. Your reflection in the water is just as you remember it, though you did get bigger and there is an ugly scar on your chest where the hero injured you all this time ago. Even though you're aware that it was a long time ago, you slept most of the time, and that memory is still fresh in your mind.
Another thing you notice from your reflection is that some parts of your body are covered with dust. Well, you decide to fix that by leaping into the lake, causing a large splash of water that slams onto the surrounding area.
Water isn't your natural habitat, but it does feel right to clean your scales. After all, who will be scared of a dust-covered dragon? (Well, everybody, but that would still look a little ridiculous).
You step out of the water and roar, announcing your presence to the world!
Once again, you extend your wings and jump into the air, flying away from the small lake. And towards the northern kingdom. Birds fly away and the land animals hide under trees, hoping to not be caught in your sight.
But you don't care, your target is elsewhere…
You fly around the northern edge of the mountain ridge, looking down at the ground from afar. Aside from a hill here and there, the plains extend in all directions (besides South) for as far as your keen eyes can see.
You spot narrow human-made roads every now and then, but you don't spot any villages near the slopes of the mountains.
Eventually, you find your target. Like Barl said, there is a small human outpost next to what seems to be the entrance to a mine.
There is a crude wooden wall around the compound and guards are patrolling both outside and inside the outpost. You can see human workers going in and out of the mine, dragging small carts with them into one of the wooden buildings.
There is a tower with few archers on it. But besides that and the wall there isn't any noticeable defensive feature to the area.
It doesn't seem that anyone has noticed you yet.

It's time to introduce two pretty important mechanics of this quest: reputation and wealth. They serve to indicate what would be the results of certain high profile actions.
Wealth is pretty simple, it tells you how much treasure you can get from an action. Wealth can come in many form, from gold, to weapons, to magical items. Eventually you'll appraise the items you've got and your total amount of gold will be displayed on the first page (I've yet to do that, I'll try to set it up today).
Having enough gold and jewelry to sleep on is the dream of every dragon, and you're not an exception. However, wealth have some other uses. If you're willing to part from it, you might be able to purchase services from certain individuals (like improving your castle, or hiring minions).
Bear in mind that the displayed wealth you can get from an action can vary on your performance. If you assault a city and fail, you won't achieve any of the treasures you could have gotten otherwise.
Reputation is an indication of how well known you are. Any action that would cause people to spread the word about you will increase your reputation. Letting people survive your onslaught will increase the reputation gained from any action, and eliminating every witness will reduce the reputation gained.
As you have more and more reputation influential people might decide to try to remove you, or try to use you. This presents both challenges and opportunities.
Bear in mind that actions can have more consequences other than wealth or reputation. For example: Clearing the mine will mean that Belcia won't have an outpost close to your location. Wealth/Reputation are just two (pretty important) indicators, and aren't the only results of your actions.
Feel free to ask me any question you have about reputation and wealth (or any other question, really).
P.S.
The (Reputation±, Wealth±) is referring to the option under it.
Example:
[ ] Assault a location in Belcia
(Reputation+, Wealth+)
-[ ] Attack a village
The reputation and wealth gain refers to attacking a village.
Wealth? And Reputation? Means that you don't have enough information to determine how much wealth/reputation you'll gain from a certain course of action.
