TBH, I'm surprised so many people voted for my plan. I'm fine with this one too, though.
There are a few new people.Well, here we go again. Well, different place and protag and hero selection, so I can't just copy-paste the plan I made in the previous quest
Give me some time to think
posting in a few minutes.Uhh, you got a handy world map like last time for us to look at?
Uhh, I think there are some words missing.[]Adam the Wandering Shade: A supposed spy of great renown, A noted traitor of many many masters, he is loyal only to himself, and to his code of keeping the peace within the continent. He sees the attempt by you to take command of an academy (Culture: Romain, Class: Spy)
I did add a bit to the apochya, and there is a few notes on orcs, dragons and Goblins, but not a lot of them as I was writing this turn.@Magoose: Oh right, could you elaborate about the other intelligent beings now? I'm wanting to know if there's any aquatic races to keep in mind. Otherwise, a Swimming Class doesn't seem necessary from the beginning.
All the academy positoins being filled would lead to 1000 gold per month of operations, in addition to action costs, supply purchasing, academy maintenance, and upgrading.@Magoose: So how expensive would it be to choose every Academy position?
Yep.LOL, I see my Mind Ninja has lodged itself deep within your writing. LMFAO!
Something seems screwy here.[]Representative To the Kingdom (you need to make sure your interests are not protected and Empress Elizabeth drags you into the civil war.)
@Magoose, I think you copy-pasted more than you meant to.[]Talion Tall Talker: A former politician from Sano, He's a local of the town who offered his services to you. He used to be a big deal, something about almost forming a Tallian confederation, and warning about threats from the south. He was then laughed all the way to Elkhort. But he has friends in town that could help you out. (Culture: Tallian, Class: Politician.)
What, no mention about the other arrow that she took to the heart?[]Pyrrha the Red: A Ponsia Gladiator from the east, who escaped from slavery after fighting her way out of the coloseumn. Taking up mercenary work to feed herself, she quickly became an amazing sellsword and Hero. Unfortunately, after she took an arrow to her heel and nearly got killed in battle, she called it quits, hoping that the teaching position will be a safe job for her to teach her skills. (Culture Talian. Class: Mercenary)
Something seems to be missing here.[]Adam the Wandering Shade: A supposed spy of great renown, A noted traitor of many many masters, he is loyal only to himself, and to his code of keeping the peace within the continent. You start with 20,000 gold pieces. so plenty enough to fill all the positions for a few turns, but reminder, you chose the start where there are not many missions to earn money from, so that is a problem until you get the mage tower up and running and you can get contracts from other far away kingdoms.@Magoose: So how much money do we initially have to work with? Like, would picking all the Academy positions leave us with barely anything, or will we be doing just fine?
I vaguely remember it as being White Magic she couldn't use. Normal magic (which she should know at least enough of to teach the basics, which is what the description says is the reason that post is mandatory) should be another story.@JAGwin Zelda didn't actually use magic in the first quest, with Magoose saying we would have to take actions and stuff to work her up to it, but as you know, the quest stopped before that could happen. Maybe I'm being too meta here, but would it still be ok for her to be magical instructor?
You forgot to put the academy name and a potential image of what it looks like.[X]Plan Welcome Friends, New And Old
-[X]Deputy Headmaster (Your Assistant and runner of the Day to Day operations)
--[X]Nero Schwarze: The Second in Command of the Stormcrows before Hoster slew Galdron, and the self-imposed exiled son of Emperor Fredrick, he left to make his own mark on the world, and to escape his own reputation as a magician that practices da- Elder magic. He is skilled at command and at making sure day to day operations run smoothly, but he is also a decent teacher and does not mind getting passed over for the position to teach. (Culture: Schwarzen, Class: Dark Mage/Knight)
-[X]Combat Instructor (Obviously students need to learn how to fight.)
--[X]Jasper the Winged Knight/ The Kingslayer: Knight of Midna. He is a knight of a reputable sort, noble, courageous, and overprotective of his charges. He tried to teach heroes at the royal court but was exiled when his king tried to rape one of his charges, and he killed him, which caused him to flee. He received his name for riding a pegasus into battle. (Culture Rusanic, Class: Knight/Pegusus Knight)
-[X]Magical Instructor (Students should know the basics before branching out.)
--[X]Zelda Greyback: A skilled mage and political schemer. She was run out of court due to botching a spell that wound up summoning a demon, though she managed to kill it, her patron was not pleased with her. She was then framed for murder after she tried to protect her liege lord. Although she was cleared of the crime, she was exiled. She still tried her best to help people, wherever she can. (Culture: Romain, Class: Mage)
-[X]The Medic (Because Accidents happen.)
--[X]Geralt of Merigold: The Butcher of Balamast, and one of your first children you gave life to. He is a skilled monster hunter, tracker and hero. He is also a skilled alchemist who knows how to brew potions that can heal almost any ailment… for humans at least. (Culture: Tallian. Class: Slayer)
-[X]Representative To the Kingdom (you need to make sure your interests are not protected and Empress Elizabeth drags you into the civil war.)
--[X]Talion Tall Talker: A former politician from Sano, He's a wandering politician with a price on his head who offered his services to you. He used to be a big deal, something about almost forming a Tallian confederation, and warning about threats from the south. He was then laughed all the way to exile. (Culture: Tallian, Class: Politician.)
-[X]Political Teacher (Not getting killed because you bowed wrong is definitely something the students should learn)
--[X]Marcus Maximilious: A Southerner who found himself on the wrong end of a slave raid, he was sold to the Elkhort's prince. A few days later, the prince was impressed with his skill, and Marcus was set free. Seeing nothing better to do with his life, he offered his services to teach the more... Subtle intrigues of court, and to make sure the kids keep their heads on their shoulders when meeting with foreign dignitaries. That he's a mage is just an added bonus. (Culture Romain, Class: Mage.)
-[X]Supply Master (FOOOOD!)
--[X]John Roche: This is the most dangerous man in the north, A noted archer, ranger, and mercenary from Newbury. He has the noted honor of being the single most wanted man in the north after murdering an entire delegation of Schwarzen diplomats after he had discovered a plot to plunge his kingdom into anarchy. After losing his entire company in the battle of broken hills, he drifted south, a marked man running out of time. Never stopping his quest to help his people. (Culture: Angshire. Class: Mercenary)
Same number of positions filled as last time, so we should be facing the same expenses on salaries (700 per turn). Quite a few returning characters, though Nero got moved to Deputy on account of not having any equivalent to Cicilia, with Zelda getting his old job by default and Geralt being called in to replace her.
Swapped Talion into the representative slot because we need a representative with this start position and Marcus volunteered to teach, so I figured it would be better to give him that job.
Would've liked to have filled all the slots, but there doesn't seem to be a good swimming teacher here, I'm not 100% sure that Vlad would work as a Beastmaster (he probably would, but still), and we do need to worry about our budget here. Also would've liked to recruit Pyrrha, but, well, I'm not entirely sure what job to give her.
Uhhh . . . crap. Anyone got any names or images I can use?You forgot to put the academy name and a potential image of what it looks like.
Maybe the school from little witch academia? Seems like it would fit the settingUhhh . . . crap. Anyone got any names or images I can use?
EDIT: Added a name for the school: Alba Academy. According to Wiktionary, "Alba" means "Dawn" in Italian, and considering our school in the first version was named Sunrise, I think it works as a nod to the last Quest. Although I'm still open to suggestion for something else.
