Time To Make Your Future! (Project Moon/Worm Quest)

How do I roll dice on this site again?

Edit: Nevermind, figured it out but double-clicked by accident.
Arkio threw 4 91-faced dice. Total: 226
88 88 55 55 37 37 46 46

That's

88 Puss in Boots
53-55 Headless Ichthys
34-38 Laetitia

Also:

44-48 Funeral of the Dead Butterflies

But that doesn't count, probably.

A pretty good selection TBH.

Edit: Shi'd/Stranger'd

Ichthys seems to have minimal information that can be used and I can't find anything on the Puss in Boots in connection to Project Moon. Anyone mind telling me what they're about?

Puss In Boots is an unreleased Abnormality we know fuck-all about.

It has the number F-02-24-T. Puss in Boots is a black cat with green eyes and white paws on its hind legs.

As of now, it can only be found in the official artbook.

"Rarely do I talk to humans. You should consider it an honor. The humans who have joined me could attain greater wealth and glory. Have I told you the story of a humble farmer's son who I made a king?"

Apparently, it's a TETH, Fairytale/Animal classification.

Puss in Boots is a either a Legacy or unimplemented Abno, I think.

I remember reading about it in the wiki somewhere

Edit: Seriously? Again?

Hmmm, maybe some kind of genie, monkey's paw or deal with the devil type of abnormality? Or some kind of leader, a literal kingmaker or another deity abnormality, granting blessings?

There's not a lot to go off of, but at least it's something.
Edit: Seriously? Again?
Live view of Shi getting overworked kek.

The fish... El Grande Luxcavación Filtro... likely the hardest hitter of the squad, Fluid Sac being as stronk as it is.
Laetitia was already talked about plenty.

Puss in Boots could be the most personable of the Abnormality trio. It's perfectly suited for the role of guiding Missy through the ins and outs of Abnormality wrangling/EGO combat.

Hey, @ImDead1ns1de, I'd also recommend its EGO name to be Costantino Fortunato, the oldest recorded version of the Puss In Boots tale. With Constantino being the aforementioned boy, who Puss In Boots helps become a king.

An interesting thing about Headless Ichthys is the vein skeleton thing in its sac. Kinda reminds me of Carmen but it doesn't have the branch wings, its a little more flower shaped. Kinda reminds me of the Lunacy rose.

The name for Puss in Boots is pretty cool too.

Also, just to ask you guys, would you rather just have Missy gain EGO and just have that be her superpower, or do you want the abnormality to be a separate entity that Missy can merge with for EGO?

In essence assuming the puss in boots follows both its original narrative role and its fractured fairytale depictions
Well fixer for hire is one aspect of it, in general I can also imagine it being linked to the index
Tell me what do the ground and cats have in common?
And what is the puss in boots tricky trait and the famous trait of the index?
You can see where I'm leading but I digress, in general it can be a good counter to Contessa

Headless ichthys is a vaguely religious associated abnormality that assuming it's appearance is symbolic
Well N Corps habit of thinking with your heart and not your head along with a majority of those touched by light in general
this one will likely help with aquatics and leviathan, has resistance to Wrath and Despair pending state, etc

And If I had to guess what puss in boots associated trigger is
My bet is a feeling of being lost and confused, in desperate need of some kind of Guidance

Ps figured out another abnormality pairing
Gone with a simple smile and Sophia, what person was smile associated with in wonderlab?

I'd like for the Abnormalities to exist independently (if under Missy's control.). It stablishes them as characters instead of "powers" that she can use, and offers a much more interesting path. I'm very much looking forward to Laetitia dialogue.

Catt vs Sophia huh. I would bet on Catt in all honesty.
Me too
Because Catt despite being a little off kilter doesn't have an eldritch shard pressing the aggression button so absurdly hard
And for how ego would work
I was thinking a mixture of one lucky clerk on ao3 and Human resources on here
In that to acquire the ego she must understand the abnormalities inner nature
In order to fully use it, she and it must be able to agree and resonate with eachother
Am I making sense?? Not fully awake yet

For me, it depends on how you decide to flavor Missy getting her powers.

If she's a Parahuman w/ a shard and all that, then I'd say just treat EGO as her power. Parahuman powers can work in pretty weird ways, so it somehow tapping into and then acting as a bridge into the Well of Humanity isn't too far fetched.

If the E.G.O. is an outside context thing, then treat the Abnormality E.G.O. as a separate entity. Missy has a long ways to go before she can manifest Personal E.G.O.

In general I can imagine it being both

Haywire was dimension tapping and it isn't impossible for haywire old shard to accidentally breach the project moon verse...... and backpedaling swiftly because dear lord is the moon loony

The shard acting as the intermediary and holding the ego 'frame' until Missy can connect with it
Resonating comes when she and the ego and by extent the abnormality can agree with eachother and work together

Dammit I found this thread 3 hours too late to vote.

So we know basically nothing about one of the abnormalities yes?

We have the physical appearance for the fish and its name, but its almost nothing while the cat at least has its legend to pull upon.

Less that we know nothing and more like there's nothing to know.

We might encounter Puss in Boots in later chapters of Limbus, but that's probably a long ways off.

The Quest is Still Starting. Choose Your Abnormality! Part 2
Now that you've rolled for three abnormalities, it's time to choose which one you want! Remember, this decision is important as it determines what powers Missy has access to, personality changes, and her trigger event. Additionally your chosen abnormality may or may not accompany Missy on Earth Bet, so choose wisely.

Puss in Boots - Master Low-Mid/Stranger Low-Mid - Missy becomes more deceptive and manipulative, and ruthless when trying to achieve her goals, her words are strangely convincing and people often find themselves agreeing to whatever she says if it sounds logical enough. Missy can also change someone's perception of her slightly, looking more trustworthy, like someone of great importance, someone familiar etc. Strangely enough, everything just seems to go Missy's way as she manipulates people.

Headless Ichthys - Brute Mid-High /Blaster Mid /Shaker Mid /Changer Mid / Master Low (dear god that's a lot of ratings why) - Missy can change into a more monstrous appearance with stages of growth, though she loses some self control doing it. She is always more durable than a normal human, and becomes stronger and tougher the more she transforms. She also has a constant source of regeneration, scaled to how transformed she is. When transformed, she can shoot people with the blood from her fluid sac, or just flood the whole area by smashing her weapon into the ground. Can also heal people a bit. Her attacks inflict a gloomy feeling that reduces her opponent's willpower.

Laetitia - Master Mid /Shaker Low-Mid /Striker Low-Mid - Missy becomes very dependent on other people, feeling lonely quite frequently. She can create small hearts that can be given with a touch, exploding to create friends. If she gives someone a heart, it floats around them, or attaches itself to their body, requiring surgery to be removed, assuming it doesn't activate. Her friends have brute ratings, taking hits that should have killed them easily, and being rather vicious when protecting Missy. Additionally, she can attach a gift to someone which slowly infects them if not removed or activated, turning the host into a shambling, mind controlled zombie, ready to explode into another friend.

Or alternatively, you can reroll if you don't like any of these choices. Just be careful with the RNG.

[ ] Puss in Boots
[ ] Headless Ichthys
[ ] Laetitia
[ ] Reroll (Needs more votes than the most voted for abnormality)
