Time To Make Your Future! (Project Moon/Worm Quest)

Boots ego will likely be a useful starter ego considering everything

Considering most fairytale abnormalities are corrupt/twisted versions of the original, what's the catch for Puss in Boots? Did it betray the farmer's son in the end or something? Are all of its promises a lie? Or is it just the things that it did to achieve its goal are really horrible or something? It mentions that multiple humans who accepted its offer have achieved glory, while in the original tale it only helped out the farmer's son. Its an interesting thought, the fact that we know next to nothing about it means plenty of things can be changed.

[X] Laetitia

Time to be a good girl who has done nothing wrong in her life.

Now that I see a power for Ichthys, I've a rough idea of the trigger event.

So, to start off, the ratings; Changer, Brute, Blaster, Shaker and Master, though I'd argue it's a Striker instead for that last one. Changer is the most important here regardless, as all other of Missy's abilities stem from it. A shard behaves like a changer when a major component of the trigger event is either a body image issue or suffering caused by contrary societal expectations. In both cases, the parahuman in question finds themselves lacking, either in body or behaviour.

The prelude to the trigger event here, as it were, starts when Missy decides to act how her parents want her to with the intent of making them get along as a result. You know, be the bridge between them. The thing is, as she adapts to fit their expectations, she finds that she can't internally manage it. She dived in too deep, and is being both imprisoned and crushed by the pressure she is under. She has to bottle up her emotions to keep going, all the while wishing that she was different, that she could manage to fit the role she cursed herself with. Eventually, something sets her off - it doesn't have to be anything big, hell, it might fit better if it's something minor and insignificant. Regardless, she metaphorically loses her head, which leads her into encountering some form of physical danger that is likely to turn the metaphor literal.

... It doesn't fit perfectly - I wouldn't even say well - but it's the best I could come up with for the power offered. Maybe if I cleaned it up a little, removed some aspects and fine-tuned others, but I'm not going to do that. Now, as for my vote;

[X] Laetitia

I don't care for social thinker/master/stranger powers even a little bit, and as I just said, Ichthys is a little messy for me. Laetitia isn't perfect either, but I like her the most.

More like jack slash if his ability was Contessa's
A minor path to victory effect with an emphasis on probability manipulation ie setting up the domino's before hand, taking advantage of opportunities, and occasionally doing improbable things like dodging bullets by instinct and psychological understanding of others that they can reliably manipulate others
Likely vulnerable however to pale damage
Which is in thankfully limited supply in Worm with a focus on red, white, and black damage types

In general puss ego will likely help in setting the domino's up in advance, finding opportunities, and being very lucky in dodging fatal strikes with an emphasis on manipulating allies, enemies, and civilians to advantage or rather Contessa if she had a blanket version of Jack's parapsychology reading

And the likely catch assuming it takes cues from it's animated counterpart as much as it does its fairytale
A propensity for being egotistical or very scared of death
Meaning it won't help if there's a chance of it dying
Or likely requires payment of somekind

Man I did not plan for the cat to be this strong, I just read the fairytale and thought it was weird how everything just coincidentally went right and everything worked out happy in the end. Should I nerf it or add some sort of downside?

I mean, if someone doesn't buy what Missy's selling, she is helpless against them. Just weaken the strength of the effect a bit you're too worried.

Honestly
Missy would still be squishy
Even with some psychological persuasion well
If someone does a mistake it would come crashing down
But would still be good at improvising
Though some actions would look crazy or questionable

Edit in short its weakness is human error and pr

Manipulation and selfishness are not considered bad sides in and of themselves? It seems to me that in such a world there are enough opponents who can resist her. You can have OP thing, but also have some story-based counterweights. Even Contessa in the original story didn't make things easy and was beaten. Just relax, it's your story!
