Through the Ages (Exalted CK2 Style Empire Builder)

Can we at least please wait and see what we're being offered by them and then the Sidereals?
We don't even know what this Getimian would like in the first place
I wouldn't turn down their help, but the Getimians have problems with most of Heaven, not just Sidereals, so a permanent deal isn't likely to be healthy.

Not that we have much choice when dealing with the Hunt, given how outgunned we are.

Getimian might be nice, yes. But Gold faction Sids and the God of Luck (blanking on the name) are both just as viable and much more preferable.

So, I went for:
  • Military: Hammer of the North, Law of the Wyld-Eastvale Pass
  • Diplomacy: Sizing up your neighbors
  • Learning: Book of Boundless Shards
  • Piety: Public Education, Mendicants
  • Intrigue: Booby Trapping isn't just for the bad guys, Watching them closely
  • Personal Actions: Chosen of the Sun, Intense Training
  • Altren Intervention: Hammer of the North, Booby Trapping isn't just for the bad guys
  • Neiya Intervention: Booby Trapping isn't just for the bad guys
I think that I am with the consensus on Military, Diplomacy, Piety, Intrigue, and Neiya Intervention. So, here are my reasoning for Learning, Personal Actions, and Altren Intervention.

The other option for Learning is Law of the Wyld-Character Witnesses. While reducing wyld hunt suspicion is important, so is improving our military. We have already taken Law of the Wyld-Eastvale Pass, and our suspicion is quite low at the moment, so I don't think Character Witnesses is very useful. Also, I don't want to arm our enemies. :p

In personal actions category, I think almost everyone takes Chosen of the Sun. I favor Intense Training as I really want to get a new trait as soon as possible. I am hesitant about Go Adventuring as I don't want to make up deals with the enemies of Creation unless I have to.

In Altren Intervention case, I am going with Hammer of the North, as we want to get our Military better as soon as possible. Booby Trapping isn't just for the bad guys because it is our only action which has a chance to hurt the hunt.

I don't suppose I could convince more people to go with meeting
Because, well, if this IS a celestial exalt that'd be interested in helping us, that's some more PIs, which we really need.

We don't even know what this Getimian's deal is.
And, hell, it's not like Lunars are super-good for the current state for Creation, either (Neiya certainly doesn't seem too impressed), but there's still a desire to interact with the Silver Pact.

Hell for all people know this Getimian could represent a reformation faction.

Not that we have much choice when dealing with the Hunt, given how outgunned we are.
Yep, that's another thing.

Getimian might be nice, yes. But Gold faction Sids and the God of Luck (blanking on the name) are both just as viable and much more preferable.
Assuming we survive up to post-chapter 4.
That's a thing that plenty of people seem to forget.

We're NOT getting Sidereal aid against the Realm's upcoming attacks, or the Wyld Hunt presence (if anything we're gonna get attacked by Sidereals).
We're NOT getting divine aid either.
We're NOT getting the Silver Pact helping us out.

I think we should aim to ally ourselves with the suspected Lunar exalted here. Also, I think Uvanavu, and Luranume will be quite willing to help us in indirect ways.

Let's avoid making deals with Getimians, we are not that bereft of options.

I think we can get help from Silver Pact if we play our cards right in chapter 4.

They won't.
We need to survive Chapter 4 without their help before they'd be willing to do anything.

So yes.
We ARE that bereft of options, because everyone will assume we'll be stomped like an insect so they won't bother wasting resources on us.

(And for goodness sake, do people know that this is ONE Getimian, and we're not making a deal with all of them?!)

Question, have we ever gone gallivanting off to explore the nation? I think we've spent all our time doing things to help the nation.

If, for example, the Wyld Hunt catches the scent of our suspected lunar, and we team up to defeat the Wyld Hunt now, that could be the beginning of an organic alliance between us and the silver pact. I am not expecting them to drop everything and come to save us, we may simply attract some newly exalted lunars to team up with us, rather than risk getting defeated in detail.

From their point of view, why would they spend resources on a Solar that will die in at most a few years?

Hell we don't even know if there really is a Lunar there.
And if there is I doubt they'd be all that happy with us to the point where they'd like to stay here and possibly die with us.

If someone can do up the Threadmark Target except for my username password, that'd be appreciated. Because uuugh, effort.
I got this!

Might as well actually use the bulk threadmarking tool for bulk threadmarking, and it's better to do the whole job once than come back over and over when people complain because only some of the posts are in the Threadmarks.
Added the Turn Sixteen Survey, though.

(Also, it makes it easier for me [and anyone else who finds this quest and is interested] to go and archive binge this later.)
