I swear I read all of Dooku's lines in the voice of Saruman. Brilliantly done. Too bad for Dooku that Plagueis know realizes what he's truly up against; he won't be outmaneuvered like this again, not without considerably more effort on Dooku's part.
Hello. Is there actually a story by this name or is this just this threads title?

Nope, I just thought it would be a fun title. It doesn't really make as much sense as it did in the beginning, back when I actually took the "memoirs" conceit seriously and didn't do other POVs, but it's way too late to change it now. ;)

GENERAL HOUSEKEEPING: New updates will begin here as soon as I finish the current arc in The Gardener's Tale, which will be a pretty natural pause point. Until then, I encourage you not to get people's hopes up by bumping this thread until then. I'd hate to get in trouble.

Oh, wow. I knew he was an argumentative bastard due to him managing to get an SB fic thread locked because he kept attacking the author, but jesus. Okay, yep, he's going in the Orson Scott Card Box.

Ah. Thank you. I was not aware that Card was specifically unusually homophobic, particularly in a manner that might be described as "raging." A pity, that.

Gloriously this one ends with recomendations of Enders Game slash fiction. >:D:V

And incase you didn't think he was also weird about Obama like so many conservatives, he also accused him of planning to turn street gangs into a personal 'national' police force.

I guess someone should ask the mods to permalock this thread, then. No more updates possible due to permaban means no real point to leaving this thread open, right?

Nothing precludes people talking about the story. Personally, I'd rather the mods infract the people being off topic, instead of taking the thread away from everyone.

Actually, in coming back to this thread: Darth Plagius's interest in the twins and Borea's immediate hostility made sense initially, but Borea is herself a Sith. Certainly not as much a one as Plagius, but I've come to wonder how much her defense of them was out of love compared to a sort of "mine" response. Understanding how to create Sith that will cooperate with each other because of an innate bond would be big. Borea's antagonism was one of her more significant rebellions against her master. Her ceasing to be purely a directed pawn, no matter how valued, is an interesting moment of growth. Over the course of this story, Borea built herself up from very nearly nothing into an apprentice Sith, and it's rather fitting that one of the last chapters is her taking a step beyond that.
