The Three-Headed Dragon: A Viserys Targaryen Quest Continuation [abandoned]

...Jaime, Dude, I love you but what the Seven Hells?
Well with Jaime that means only one thing, considering he's been a bodyguard for a king for most his life...

Tywin either wanted you dead at some point and he's making sure it does not happen again, or he's making sure Tyrion has a smooth path to power when he comes back to join the kingsguard.

there is no inbetween

The song of unsheathed Valyrian steel sings in your ear as you see Jaime draw Brightroar, his ancestral sword, and point it at his father as he speaks aloud for all to hear. "Tywin Lannister, you are hereby arrested on the charges of treason and conspiring to murder the Royal Family."

"Men of the Watch," Aegon speaks firmly from twenty feet away, drawing his own steel. Goldcloaks level swords and spears, arms at the ready, and the men of House Lannister do not move as you see they are, to a one, pinned down by goldcloak escorts. Behind Tywin, you see two septas step up and place a hand on each shoulder, and as you come to recognise them as your wife's cousins, you have no doubt that their other hands hold daggers in Tywin's back to ensure he moves as instructed. The Old Lion looks taken completely by surprise, before he looks behind to confirm what's there, looks to his son, and then looks to you, comprehension dawning and fury building as he almost certainly thinks you planned this moment. If only that were true. Your control slips, just for a moment, and you sigh with exasperation, muttering only loud enough for Dany to hear you.

"Oh, godsdammit, Jaime."

Well...
To be honest, Jamie was probably spot on with that accusation. And the best way to deal with the legacy obsessed chess master that is Tywin is likely pretty much exactly what Jamie done...
Edit: Well, Tywin might not have been planning to do it, but would not be surprised if he was entertaining the idea for when it could be exploited 'for the good of the family'.

The instinct to gossip with players is so hard to override as the QM, so I will allow myself to point out that Jaime was nonspecific as to which members of the Royal Family Tywin is being accused of conspiring against.

So how long til momterion is over?
No moratorium attached to this one, it's a much simpler vote overall. Though I of course welcome debate over which people to speak to. And whether or not to tell anyone about Jon (that's not a part of the immediate conversations that will happen during the rest of the day, Jaime has sort of made a mess of your priority schedule)

Might be stupid, might be insane, but I want my family back, damn it.

[X] Eddard Stark
[X] Jaime Lannister
[X] Tywin Lannister

Head judge, accuser, defendant. I'd love to have a chance to talk to Ari as well, but c'est la vie.

Family is family. That's a decision we made long ago, and I think we must hold to it here.

[X] Garlan Tyrell. The young lord seems uneasy, and it doesn't take much to gather he's worried that his family could be next. The word of the King himself should assuage his fears, if little else could.
[X] Yohn Royce. 'Bronze Yohn' is a man who lives by rules and decorum, and both have been rather thoroughly breached. With Lord Arryn absent, he speaks for the Lords of the Vale, and could help you put to rest any of their concerns ... if his are, first.

We are the best ones to do the damage control here. The King personally smoothing things over will be important, as well as allow us to hint that Jaime planned this without our full knowledge.

[X] Jaime Lannister. The Hand of the King has put you in quite a fix. You want answers, and you want to know why this was done in your name.

Thinking about it, Jamie has to be the source of this, so I think he's who we go to first instead of Aegon.

@Marlowe310811 will the roll bonuses be usable for this.

cause if it is, can I use them for tywins legal battle so we can get a favorable outcome.

I hope Jaime's secret plan is to get all the Gold Cloaks to hold his dad still while every Lannister takes turns punching him in the face.
Uh. Apparently I was almost right? Just replace "Lannister" with "Targaryen and Martell". Wow, I did not see that coming. On one hand, I have no tears to shed for Tywin. The guy definitely deserves to face some consequences for his years of power-tripping, murder, and abusive behavior. On the other hand, if Viserys looks like a king who likes throwing his enemies in the dungeon via royal fiat, that'll get the lords of the realm whispering nervously (and drawing comparisons with Aerys II). On the mutant third hand, if it gets out that Viserys didn't order this and his Hand and nephew did this on their own and made it look like a royal order...it's going to look even worse. Viserys will look extremely incompetent unless he punishes and demotes some of his best allies.

It's looking to me like the best course of action here is to pretend Viserys ordered this, put Tywin on trial, and assure the rest of the lords that this was totally a one-off thing and they shouldn't be afraid unless they, too, have participated in the murder of Targaryens.

[X] Eddard Stark. Your Master of Laws is a bit put out that this escalated so quickly, and wants to start planning what will happen next, and how to handle any fallout. You could also spend some time with his wards while you work with him.

Okay, get with Ned to contain the fallout and come up with a workable strategy.

[X] Garlan Tyrell. The young lord seems uneasy, and it doesn't take much to gather he's worried that his family could be next. The word of the King himself should assuage his fears, if little else could.

Keep the Tyrells from panicking.

[X] Jaime Lannister. The Hand of the King has put you in quite a fix. You want answers, and you want to know why this was done in your name.

Jaime needs someone to explain to him that if the King is utterly blindsided by something his Hand has done, the Hand is not doing his job right.
