Would using Galamiel on the captives or their bonds be a terrible idea?

Viscerality is turbo boosted by heightened emotions. Can we use that to our advantage in conjunction with the Fear Aura?

If we are using Galamiel on the Fear Aura can we make the Fear Aura beneficial instead of 'merely' disabling it?

Can we give this guy masks, crafted from blanks to have a negative effect and somehow convince him to wear the Negamasks?

Can we use Galamiel on a Mask to quickly change it's properties - For example, can we make a Faceless nuke on this guy?

It is something I've considered. Elf girl and dragon alien in particular should have interesting transformations. It should be a positive overall - they would either keep their cognition and fight Sir Goremont, or fight or flee him as the strongest guy around in case their faculties are lost, and we can use either to buy some time. If we don't disable aura, however, it is possible that Goremont can cow them into doing his bidding, which would be unfortunate.

Giving CL to dragon guy and transforming him might have interesting consequences, however some of the slaves might have hidden loyalties to Goremont. Something to consider. Still, dragon man seems the one Goremont is underestimating the most, so he could be the one to surprise the knight.

I don't think we can disable it - at best we can transform it into something that is more neutral and less debilitating. The ideal scenario would be to completely reverse it so only Goremont is affected by it, but that is wishful thinking. More realistic scenario is that aura will still be bad, but at least he wouldn't be able to control it to stunlocks/insta kill us.

One of my plans was to use reverse Artificer to blast Sir Goremont with Facelessness until his personality is extremely compromised, then slap Contaminated Theater Child(Obedience Schooled?) on him so he rapidly Fixates a very obedient personality. This requires a great deal of things to go well, however.

Here's a question. Y'know, since we've already been on the 'this is a risk of large but uncertain size for some kind of unclear benefit' train before.
What's the benefit of fighting this Knight, exactly? Why should we be doing this?

If we're talking about morality, we need to recognize that "When you're probably outmatched by a malevolent force you stumbled upon" is not the best time to crusade for good. If we want to do good by fighting evil, we should do it when we have preparation time and know we can win reliably.

If we're talking about the people, I think more is probably worse, since the Knight wouldn't be giving us these people unless he thought we couldn't cure them.

If the point is loot, we can make and find better options for loot, in terms of scale vs risk. For the loot of this encounter to be worth it, it has to multiply our current power and ultimate ceiling by >(100/SurvivalChance), which is not likely to be the case; Someone who multiplies our current power by 5x is likely to be 4x stronger than us, which is a gulf that puts their odds of victory much higher than 80%.

Speaking of loot, Goremont likely has a supply of artifacts, potions and the likes from his conquests. This could pose additional obstacle for us if he could use them to his advantage, but it could also prove to be a boon if we were to grab our hands on something that is peer relevant to him. He is currently dismounted so there is a possibility we could go after his saddlebags if there are any, although we should remain wary of danger his horse can present.

Sometimes you climb mountains just because they happen to be there.

I thought the plan to fight was an actual meme option that people were considering for fun, not go for it

To break down the ideas.. to make it easier for Birdsie

> First move, neutralize the Aura:
Contamination on the aura /or Resist Fear whichever Dorian deems applicable.
Viscerality to remove fear if applicable.

> Free prisoners to get more combatants.
Equip masks everyone.
Use CL to boost combat, or give it to the dragon.
Icarelian to Musurov for light manipulation.

> Use Contamination on the fight -
Contaminate air into toxin or liquid for Musurov to work on.
Contaminate shackles for Musurov's magnetism.
Contaminate masks to faceless explosions

> Fight tactics -
Muurov - long-range lightning attacks and similar tactics.
Prisoners - expendable, or corrupted. Elf Girl, Dragon Alien
Artificer: Contaminate to a combat Facelessness mask, consume as many white masks to power it.
Murkworking - Combustive/explosive gas murkworked down it down the Goremont's throat before lightning detonated. Or toxic gas.

> Other tactics -
Corrupt the section of the street itself and banish Goremont
Creating Negamasks - negative effects and trick Sir Goremont into wearing them.
Reverse Artificer blasting Sir Goremont with Facelessness until indentity compromised, then slap Contaminated Theater Child(Obedience Schooled) so he Fixates to an obedient personality.
Trick Goremont into wearing Facelessness bombmasks before setting them off.

Free prisoners to get more combatants.
Equip masks everyone.
Use CL to boost combat, or give it to the dragon.
Icarelian to Musurov for light manipulation.
For this section two problems, what stops the Knight from speed-blitzing us to death, and two, the prisoners seem quite dead and depressed jnside. Why would they fight? They have been confronted with their weakness for who knows how long every time the Knight humiliates them.

Corrupt the section of the street itself and banish Goremont

What. Just what. That seems like a very nice one way road to getting kicked off the street at that moment, and into some random place of the Ormulem, if not just straight dead. Also, it has been said Galamliel has troubles working on the Knight due to its Rank, how would this even work on the Street.

Yikes.

Ultimately we are not picking for the upside, but for the lack of downside. These two are least likely to cause issues, I think.

Although the Warning girl even in the brink of death might give Dorian a surge of passion if she reminds him of his sister..

Yeap with the "victory is theoretically possible" and "astronomical odds" I'm not too keen on fighting

victory is theoretically possible
Also necessary to note that it only says victory, surviving as a cripple but having defeated the DK is technically a victory aswell (although a phyrric one). Even if we win, there seems to be no reward and very considerable downsides, nevermind actually surviving the fight

Lets think for a moment. These people are a potential disaster waiting to happen. We don't pick ones we like, we pick the ones least likely to blow up in our face. The best combo are likely old man and woman as we would most likely just burn them to prevent the spread and go on our way. However that is probably too cynical for this thread, so we go with second best, the old man and the elf girl. Old man seems fine with sacrifice and hopefully possesses a degree of wisdom borne of age, and elf girl has proven herself to be brave and willing to risk herself to help others, both admirable qualities that are likely to reduce potential danger they pose.

Dragon man is an unknown quantity, and there is always danger in unknown, and Pawn is entirely too driven and capable of making his plague worse in attempts to heal himself, so that is just a disaster waiting to happen. So we either go geriatric if we want to let them perish to stop the spread and make our next world easier, or we go Old Guy/Warning Girl if we plan on putting in the effort to save the two of them.

Speaking of salvation, we should be capable of crafting masks that would help infected and reduce the spread, as well as some kind of healer mask that would boost our Viscerality while healing others. Ideally we would boost our Viscerality to at least level 2 before trying, however the question is how much time and effort we will have to spare for infected in the next world.

That being said Pawn/Elf is not super terrible, just understand there's a lot of risk involved in order to gain potential upside. And to be honest, I don't think that Pawn's upside warrants the risk.

Don't forget that the girl seems to have the worst case of the disease (uncertain what that practically means)

After once more being disappointed even further that I thought I was able to I've had to begrudgingly change my vote.
