The Rim and the Hammer (Exalted/Warhammer Quest)

Not sure about all of the other stuff, but if we have the chance to play as an Exalt, we should play as an Exalt.

[X] From the blood of the dragons who kept their vows, you are one of the Azure Dragons (Costs 2 Bonus points Roll 4d6 for stats)

Edit: Also since we have wings anyway, a bit of anime-hair isn't really out there, right?

The People of the Air were literally bred for their aesthetics by... only slightly insane Solars (you do not want to know what the really insane ones did) so yeah quirks like these are common among your people. That is part of the reason why the Sezakan is relatively tolerant of Wyld mutants alongside the fact that you do not have that many of them thanks to the Reality Engine

[X] Maximum Traits
-[X] A woman: Enduring Carrier of Indandescend Truths from the Silver Mountain (Short: Carrie)
-[X] Through long trials and thaumaturgic skill, you are a an Enlightened Mortal (Gain 2 Bonus points; Roll 3d6 for stats; Essence capped at 3)
-[X] Appearance: In your youth you were said to be beautiful, tall and elegant, with hair and feathers of the deepest blue, as the sky on the opposite pole to the setting sun. Now long work, meditation and travel upon the unforgiving mountains and simple time have turned your skin leathery, your muscles wired and your hair halfway to grey, though your wings still retain the luster of the evening sky

Okay, I know Exalted are objectivly better at most things, but I kinda like the idea of our leader being someone who has really worked her way up to wisdom and some slight measure of power, who has talked to the gods and the mountain as a supplicant and eventually returned as someone whom even the Dragonblooded respect to some degree.

Also I like having a lot of points to spend on traits, particularly if rare skills are among htose possible traits later.

Carrie would not be our last, or longest-lasting leader, but she seems like a decent start.

This is a pretty critical time period, we need as strong a baseline as we can get.

Traits are good, but I doubt they beat out a full on exaltation.

It's also about maximum lore-retention through bonus points.

But even aside from that, I kinda agree that once we get into seriously conflict with our neighbours a war-leader is necessary, propably an Exalt, but for the first adaption a trusted voice of the people might be the right touch.

Also whatever we do we will still have those 55 Exalted, but we might not have a mortal leader if we don't vote for one now.

Why wouldn't an exalt be able to be a trusted voice of the people?

Lore retention through bonus points might be possible, but we do have existing enlightened mortals. Without knowing what the traits are it's hard to buy that they'll specifically be things they wouldn't also have that outweigh having the most skilled possible baseline for our leadership during the first encounters the city has in its new world.

All true.

I guess I like to gamble.

Also, on a personal and OOC level, I would love to start a CKII quest with a leader who is both mortal and not exactly young anymore, just to have a change of guard.
It's very rare these quests go that long and with a Dragonblooded we would be stuck for literal centuries.

Fair enough, but for my part I'd rather not arrange for our own leadership issues in advance. Especially since it's easy to get attached to characters, and having one last for a while if we end up taking turns with long IC time intervals would be nice.

[X] Plan Always be a Dragon
-[X] A man: Sharp Gust of Insight, Gust for short (and to his younger siblings and closest friends, Gus. An artifact of childhood pronunciation issues)
-[X] From the blood of the dragons who kept their vows, you are one of the Azure Dragons(Costs 2 Bonus points Roll 4d6 for stats)
-[X] Appearance: Whipcord thin and uncommonly short, Gust doesn't fit what most might expect of exalted glory. A combination of his brightly metallic silver hair and plumage and a gregarious, and almost infectious, energy taken into in all he does make it feel like he takes up the space of a much larger man.

For the sake of a competing build and a more uncommon sort of exalt in appearance. Two short names for flavor, since you can't tell me children don't shorten those names past what's normally acceptable among adults.

The Plans name explains why I prefer it.

Another idea I had that's funny enough to share.

[] Puff the Magic Dragon
-[] A woman: Breath of Fresh Air, known as puff for short.
-[] From the blood of the dragons who kept their vows, you are one of the Azure Dragons(Costs 2 Bonus points Roll 4d6 for stats)
-[] Appearance: Breath of Fresh Air was a bright and exuberant child, always on the small and delicate side of her peer group. A fact that got her the teasing nickname of Puff "since she was too small to be a proper breath". As an exceedingly late bloomer, this annoyed her right up until puberty and exaltation hit her like a few tons of bricks.
—[] Her brass like feathers deepened into a rich gold, contrasting strongly against her dark black hair, even as she filled out into an towering and positively Amazonian build. Her features went from delicate to sharp, giving her blue eyes a piercing gaze even when she isn't particularly trying for one. In the decades since, she's come to privately delight in the responses people have to the first time she asks them to call her Puff.

Basically an exalted version of Little John, with some fun personal history details to go with the name. :V

Not really sure if it's valid to include those yet though. @DragonParadox is it valid to work stuff like that into appearance where it fits for a character concept, or should that fall into a different part of char gen?

The Solar Council has been added to the front page, not the names of the current ones yet, but all thirteen positions who get a vote. I will roll for the quality of the existing ones... but as you might imagine there is no diplomat, the closest you have is a master of ceremonies and that is the internal intrigue person. As you can see it is a combination of Old Realm grandeur and post-apocalyptic necessity with titles merging, acquiring new roles and losing old ones as the city struggled to survive.

The vote works fine. The strong trait is kind of relevant, but it's Exalted they can look larger than life to mortals without being necessarily strong for Exalted.

Those where great rolls 55 DragonBlood, and 28 God-blooded to hopefully promote to gods to support us. The fey-blooded are good to have, but sadly can't turn raw wyld into stuff.

Speaking of which is the city god still around.

Childrein of the Air have Appearance 5 as the baseline.

Er... sort of. The thing is no one has seen him since the Great Contagion when nine in ten of the population died as in other parts of Creation. You can still hear his weeping through the corridors of empty apartment buildings on the anniversary of the worst atrocities that followed The remaining people still give him offerings out of pity as much as tradition.

@DragonParadox
COuld you give us some example of what Bonus Points can be used for?
Since there's a difference of 4 points between taking a mortal or a Dragonblooded that seems kinda relevant for this choice.
