The Radiant Shepherd - A Warhammer 40K God-Emperor Quest

To make an argument for my own plan against the others I honestly believe my plan will accomplish more than any of the others since trying to gaze at the infinite and Bile seems a futile effort right now and cursing our own side, even if they are corrupt, seems like it could easily backfire on us

Yeah, plus if we can get the Blood Angels cured it would be amazing for them since they wouldn't suffer from their curses anymore.

[X] Plan Gold and Green

We don't really need to bless Cain, that boy's doing fine as is, the sooner the Custodes can start doing their thing the better, and the Tarot is vague enough that I worry the important details won't be interpreted correctly on Rynn's World.

Also I don't think we need to do a whole lot to protect the Crimson Fists, just getting them more prepared should be enough to do major damage to the Arch-Arsonist. Plus the Blood Angels securing that Data-Vault would legitmately help some 30-50 chapters and that is a huge win for us. And with the Custodes I don't see a solid plan yet for what to do with them so I would prefer to wait one more turn.

[X] Plan: Blessings and Visions

I like Plan Gold and Green, but the Commune with Valoris action feels wasted since we don't even try to give a plan of action for them to carry out beyond repealing the Edict of Restraint. Like we could explain all of the upcoming threats, all of the other reforms we want to push through the bureaucracy/military, etc.

Spending 5 Points to give a general warning about Snadgrod also feels wasteful, sending a sector-wide Tarot vision for 1 point achieves the same result.

Plan: Blessings and Visions has a more targeted spread of actions - blessing both Creed and Cain, directing the Blood Angels to the STC, etc.

I would like gold and green more if actually sacrificed some points to bless Creed and Cain; neither of them are guaranteed to make it through, and the later was actively called out in the update.

Edit:

As a side note, we really should look into ways of affecting change more cheaply (or just getting discounts on some of our actions).

Whether that's by spending most of a turn investing our power to make ourselves a greater deamon who we can then just talk to or by putting our thumb on the scales of Imperial politics by blessing certain sects and cursing others, we need to economize.

The Inquisition, for example, needs to stop shooting the rest of the imperium in the foot, so cursing idiots like Kryptman Karamazov while promoting more people like Veil would let shape institutional culture at less than half the price of simply telling people what to do.

Celestine eill appears in this time period. And I think if nothing changes too much Praedexes will martyred herself against Kraken. That one is a Living Saint material .

You know Kryptmann is literally the premiere asset on Tyranids we have atm right ? Literally instrumental for us surviving Behemoth. The latter Cordon and then the Gambit is the product of despair, not idiocy. What happened is because he knows too much about the Nids, possibly more than most of the organization. I dont condone him, but this is more of the decision from a man who fight Nids , consumed his life to this, right from the very start ( literally the Inquisitor investigating Tyran after it was eaten. ) seeing the sheer terror of Leviathan

Wait. You're right. I was thinking of Fyodor.

Karamazov is a firebrand asshole who alienate the Church ( not to mention being a hanging judge ).

So yeah. Right on this one

Funny enough do you know he's actually 'politically' moderate for Inquisition standard, just with extreme methods ? The guy is an Amalathian
Yeah. The Inquisition is full of nutcases as a general rule, but there's still some strains of it that are both objectively bad and some potentially useful, while Inquisitors themselves are more-or-less some of the most powerful people in the Imperium. That means that we can affect a lot of positive results for less attention than other options.

Both Horusianism and Istavaanism need to die out as soon as possible, while Xeno Hybridism and Recongregationism is, more or less, what we want to see. The Amalathians should hopefully stay out of the way once we start visibly blessing and cursing people, but I'm not unwilling to toss a communion of with the Inquisitor rep on Terra if that's what it takes to make this go through.

That's about 4 points for the blessings and curses, which is a pretty sustainable level of attention for what we're getting. Even an emergency communion would still leave us two points of room.

Oh it's a bit more complicated than that. Istvaanianism is an offshoot of Recongregationism, you know ?

And Horusianism is a literally outlawed sect. As in, not just barely tolerated like Xanthites. But there are active factions of the Inquisition trying to hunt it down. So I guess cursing them is like hunting Chaos cultists. Like yes, you can. But they are still there.

Probably bless Inquisitor Covenant if you want to go specifically after Horusians, but like, why ?

We got 10 points per turn. Again, 10
