Considering the finals are also basically a show, we have justification for Performance and Presence really. Not sure how useful they would be long-term, so we might just want specialties for (Fighting) or something in them.
And higher tiers of Ninja are leaders and sometimes have to be diplomats too depending on their qualifications so thats another reason.

I figure Genins are supposed to focus on surviving first and foremost. Getting all of their combat skills up and then a little bit of leadership/tactical thinking to get Chunin. It's there that they start splitting a little bit more, both in terms of beginning to specialize (unless you're a clan kid and already doing that), learning supporting techniques for their specialization, and learning politics. I.E. Getting Socialize, Bureaucracy, and maybe Presence up a little bit. Although that last one is more for high up leadership I think. As Socialize would be the stat when it's at a squad level I think?

Jonin is, obviously, when you can do all the things pretty damn well.

Ninja village.
The hospital is not our RnD center.

There are seldom unlimited numbers of beds to admit genin coming in on a whim, without even a note from their sensei/superior.
Especially this close after the first and second stages of the Chuunin Exams, when 26 teams of genin went into the Forest of Death and only eight teams made it out by the deadline.
They will have lots of actual patients to look after, and little enough time to humor a genin.

Furthermore, I would rather not put our PC in a position where she can provide medical data to draw the attention of Kabuto.
Who we know is currently skulking through the village in general, and the hospitals in particular, and who was able to obliterate a guard-squad of ANBU silently.
Kabuto is arguable, and all others is why I said "try to" instead of "do it". @Crilltic how good is our medical coverage as a ninja of the village? I mean, do we have a doctor we usually go to? Are there regular checkups for serving ninjas? What does TenTen know about standard procedures for when you have some sort of medical condition that isn't immediately life-threatening?

Also this.

Remember, Suna is at least nominally an ally of Konoha at this point in time, and Tenten will be aware that the team they would have sent to represent themselves would be some of their current best.
Their future heavy hitters and leaders, in a world where Asskicking = Authority.
Feeling out Temari's team is actually good sense from that PoV.

Of that team, Gaara seems to be plain nuts, while both Temari and Kankuro might play very rough, but they at least respect the rules as stated.
And she has a prior connection with Temari that she doesn't have with Kankuro.
Besides, INT 3 Tenten likely did a fair amount of the thinking/strategizing for her team pre-Exaltation; Rock Lee was too Youthful to do it, and Neji had too much pride to be trusted for accurate evaluations.

Finally, I'd like to point out that there is precedent for this.
Kankuro specifically did the same thing with Naruto during the knockout matches, only that Naruto was too obtuse and self-absorbed to follow that particular connection.

-Kabuto is not arguable; dude broke into the high security wing and murdered a bunch of ANBU silently just to get close to Sauce.
And unlike the last Uchiha, we don't have anyone guarding our backside, and won't be in high security.
While I doubt he's going to go out of his way to look for us without further evidence, dangling our delectable self right under his nose in a place he's expected to be is just asking for trouble.

-Do recall that we already spent time in the hospital after collapsing.
They already have baseline readings for our altered physiology; med-nin were watching when we sustained spinal trauma from Temari's fan, and physical examination on admission would have shown no evidence of that, as well as accelerated healing.
Contusions, lacerations, concussions? Gone.

Konoha is not likely to be incompetent.

Yeah, as the nurse mentioned when Tenten woke up, the medical-nins want her to come in sometime so they can look at her. It's not urgent because as far as they could tell she was in perfect health (which is why they discharged her), but they do want to see what's up. Going into see them at some point would probably be a good idea (at least IC).

As for Kabuto, no he's not randomly going to up and kidnap you out of the blue. Even if rumors start percolating he's a busy man with a busy schedule, but you know if you're just there under his nose...well, investigating the genin everyone's talking about shouldn't take long.

you could argue that he was destined for hokage and if not for the fact that hiruzen responded to the seconds question before he did he would have been named the villages leader
Hm...maybe when Tsunade becomes hokage instead.
He was destined to become Hokage, but Naruto actually got Tsunade to agree to the job, with the ascendant destiny that is Asura to back him up.

Ah.

Ok, so we wait until Sasuke is discharged; OOC, that means Kabuto moves on.
IC, it means that the bulk of the exam casualties have been treated and released, and the medic nin have free time on their hands to run physicals on healthy genin.
Tenten is a considerate girl like that.:V

This.
Like you said, busy man with a busy schedule; if we don't make it easy for him, he'll probably let us be.
And going to the hospital while Sasuke is still there is definitely making it easy for him.

QUESTION
How long is Temari supposed to be in the hospital?
Fractured jaws take 4-6 weeks to heal IRL, but I don't know what implementation of bullshit chakra healing magic you are going with.
For all I know, she's already been healed and released.

Oh yes, before I forget. I would like the voters input on how I should structure the training votes. I have the underlying system worked out already, but I'm still struggling with how to implement it. There are two possibilities I'm currently looking at:

The first is going individually for each day as it comes. This has the benefit of much simpler voting (since there's only a limited number of choices you can make on what to do each day), and going more in-depth on what is happening on Tenten. However, just because I'm familiar with how these things tend to go, it will be harder to formulate a cohesive plan. Also, I'm worried about arc fatigue, since between the daily updates in progress and the special events you can trigger it will likely be a significant portion of RL time before you get to the end of the month.

The other option is to do a large planning vote for the entire week, with the bulk of the updates in-between focused on what special events pop up and other significant things that happen to Tenten over the course of the week , with the majority of the training happening in the background/in the end-of-the-week wrap up post. The issue I'm seeing here is that the planning vote will likely be rather complex (I'll do my best to mitigate that, but it will still almost certainly be an involved vote, and I don't really want that to hurt participation).

So I'm asking you guys, what would you like to see?

She'll likely be there for the next couple of days, by the end of the week at the latest, depending on how severe the fracture actually was.

Anyone think it would be a good idea to get Dango. Running into Anko seems like it may have some benefits.

Edit: Voting this for now until I see how people feel about Dango/possibly running into Anko

I'd say the second one. Your writing is good but I don't want to be stuck in Namek forever

So I'm asking you guys, what would you like to see?
I'm all for a weekly vote. Daily votes often get bogged down and feel incredibly repetitive. Weekly votes can get that way if there are long stretches of nothing happening, but they don't suffer from it nearly as impressively as dailies, in my opinion.

I think we'll need to use the second, messy or not.

I don't even think of that anymore, I go to Xander Quest comparisons now. He's been 8 for the past... 4 years?

Sounds much better.

I wouldn't worry about the complexity of build votes, the Exalted afficionados here are more than up to the task.

Weekly votes force people to actually think in the semi-long term so I support them. Daily votes always lead to an incoherent mess.

Seems about as likely to pop to mind as a stay at the hospital for the heck of it.
