The New Gods of A Broken World

Looks like it. I really like how the dynamic is shaping up as well between our gods. :D

IC post is up. Hopefully Ulyaoth won't try anything right away this turn.

With that done, I believe only @Bass11 is left, right?
Boy howdy, I can't help but love how your avatar is essentially an embodiment of everything I (will) encourage people to rally against.

I mean, the every-present danger that will always strike where you are weakest and avoid where you are strong? If that isn't a physical embodiment of the psychological archetype of the danger beyond the fire, then I can't see what is.

Granted, If I'd made it, I'd have made defeating it in any way force a boon to be granted, but, hey, you take what you can get. Eventually, I'm sure your avatar will be as dragon's to ancient peoples- an embodiment of everything that can kill you when you go beyond the walls of civilization that, none-the-less, must be faced and defeated for civilization to thrive and that holds in its home hidden treasures, virgins, and artifacts of power.

Suffice to say, I'll probably be spending most of my time as a god trying to get people to kill your avatar. Not out of malice, mind. I just want to encourage people to prove themselves greater than they believe.

Well, yeah, the idea behind Ulyaoth is basically to give something that challenges the mortals and make sure they never grow weak or complacent. Xolotl doesn't want to just punish mortals and tear down their stuff; my God wants them to be self-reliant and not lean too heavily on any one thing, not even the New Gods. I forget if Avatar death is permanent, but I'm hoping not and I'm probably going to spend the next turn or two buffing the hell out of him if things go well.

Also, I'm not sure what you mean by "defeating it in any way". If you're thinking the only Test Ulyaoth provides is to physically defeat it, I'll remind you that he is very much incomplete, and even with the extra power I had this turn, I wasn't able to give him everything I wanted to. For right now, he's just observing Belarond (hopefully) and I plan on giving him a lot more abilities, such as controlling fertility and economy, creating constructs and illusions, and psychological attacks just to name a few.

Sorry, for not posting I didn't get a notification for some reason will do so now as soon as I get the chance. For this turn we get 15 points or 5 points?

I mean exactly that, essentially.

Make it like the reaper- a master of all fields, such that, if anyone bests it in any field of practice, they deserve a boon.

Also, yeah, I figured that was your plan with it.

I only wish the world had some other noticeable challenge for the occupants to rally against like monsters and dungeons, or city placements on the hexmap (@ShieldCrown I can do that, too, with the hexographer). Mostly because I want to corner the market on adventurer's guilds.

cool... did you label the pyramid?

Do we get 15 points this turn or 5 points this turn?
15 points. However many points you had last turn, you get an extra 5 to work with this turn for I don't actually know why.

@ShieldCrown Claytonimor has given me a thought; since I plan on making my Avatar a master of everything, is there any way I can speed up the process of empowering Ulyaoth? Can I give him a Master of All power or something like that, and if so how many points would that cost?

define "everything"

I'll put it this way: when I said I wanted Ulyaoth to be able to identify strengths and weaknesses, I didn't mean just physical ones. So by "everything", I mean "everything that could conceivably be a challenge to overcome".

Point is I don't want just "you win by kicking my ass" to be Ulyaoth's Test. I'm talking master of puzzles, economics, psychology, domestication, verbal debate, construction, and everything else that one person could conceivably challenge another to. So maybe "Master of Trials" or "Master of Challenge" would be more apt?

I suppose?
Want do you want the label to be? Also color, size, etc. If you want a bunch a labels, you're going to want to copy the full size of the map, rather than the minimized one your currently have
I mean is the pyramid on the map? I don't remember and it's getting harder to concentrate for some reason.

Could do one from the Heretic Rampeople pov. They're an interesting anomaly, or could do one form the beast tribes being united under Regalus?
