The raven went in to land at the Stark camp and a guard rushed up as I dismissed the raven and saddle "My Lord. The King of The North left standing orders that he wished to see you as soon as you returned."
I stretched and yawned. Two days of flying, only landing to eat and sleep at night; I was hardly in the mood for anything but finding a bed, but I shook my head.
"Very well. Take me to him." I said before I followed the guard to the Stark command tent.
Robb Stark was already waiting by the time I arrived, "Winter," he started. "Did you find what you were looking for?"
I nodded. "Yes, I believe I did. How long was I gone? Where I was, time is not exactly like it is here."
He gave me a strange look. "How can time be different? You were gone a week."
I hmmed and nodded.
Assuming the trip through the Blind Eternities didn't take any time, that was a seven to one time compression. Not as bad as I feared at first, but still, insufficient data.
No, wait...five to one. I spent two days traveling.
"Well, Either way, I am back now. Any news from King's Landing?" I asked and he shook his head.
"Without the raven scouts, finding information have been slower." Robb answered and I nodded.
"I'll make sure the riders have a raven so they can have a new look. We should hold position until they do, though." I said and then turned to walk out. "I need rest, it was a long ride."
On my way to my tent I went to find one of the raven riders and summoned a raven and saddle for him before I walked to my tent.
I entered and looked around, eyeing the bed. The place looked exactly like I left it...and that bed looked mighty inviting right now.
I hesitated for a moment before I grimaced. I needed to push things forward. The sooner I summoned the Slayers, the sooner they could start training, getting used to riding horses and such.
I doubted that came as a part of the package.
Closing my eyes I stepped back and focused on the Slayer essence. White and Red...a good amount too. About a tenth of each land to one Slayer. In theory I could summon twenty in total, but I had different plans for that second red land.
Ten it would have to be then. The Angels would outnumber them, but hopefully the slayers' adaptation and skill would beat pure power once again.
I took a slow breath and channeled the mana precisely. Never having summoned a dual mana creature before I did not want to mess up, especially as I was summoning sophonts.
The Red and White mana flowed through the spell control matrix of the gathered essence and I forged it in my mind.
Ten seconds after I started I opened my eyes.
There were ten Slayers in my tent, looking around.
Then I realized something and quickly turned around before I got myself killed. I summoned ten Slayers.
Not ten 'Dressed' Slayers. The essence only includes the creature, not what it is wearing!
"Did you plan this?" A voice behind me and to the right asked and I quickly shook my head before another voice to the left added in "Well, he better not have! Summoner or not, I will kick his ass!"
"Well, I don't really mind that much," another voice added in before a fourth spoke up. "Well? Why are you still standing there!? Get us some clothes!"
I almost ran out of the tent.
The guards outside gave me a strange look as I froze and facepalmed. What kind of Planeswalker gets ordered around by his own damn summons?
As I heard a feminine laugh from inside the tent I sighed. The ones that wish to live, that's who. ..And Buffy better never hear about this. She would never let me live it down.
I turned to the guard. "Go get a seamstress and send her into my tent. She has some work to do there... tell her to let them pick their own styles" The order given, I wandered off to find myself somewhere else to sleep.
Something told me that my tent was no longer my tent.
One Slayer I could handle...Two...sure.
Ten?
Even Planeswalkers know when they are beaten. Maybe I should have gone for the thresher maw?
