Would it really be that hard to teach the Westeros people to create some sort of pizza-like food? A flat bread cooked with a layer of tomato sauce and cheese on top?
They probably already have some sort of pizza analogue - bread dough with cheese and some ingredients for taste is hardly new, Flammkuchen existed long before Columbus set foot on America - but if they don't have tomatoes it won't taste the same. Even if they have tomatoes, considering the climate they will be extremely rare.

Winter just outright explained, in the story post before this one, that he doesn't have enough red mana in order to summon his pistol (or Glory, which is why he couldn't get her essence). That is entirely different from not having enough mana overall. It could be entirely possible that the pistol only takes 2 red mana. But we'll never know until Winter attunes a second Red land in order to find out. Again it doesn't matter that he has a bunch of random mana because in story it's been directly stated that he needs *red* mana to summon better weapons (like his own pistol) and right now he only has one land that gives red, and that land is also the only one that gives him black (and is an either or deal, he either uses red or black, but it's coming from the same source).
Actually he confirmed Artifacts are colourless when I asked Red for Glory and just not enough for the pistol when I asked

Brellin said:
That statement is pretty ambiguous. It could mean he doesn't have enough red or he just doesn't have enough overall.

So, Hiver, which is it? Does he need more red or does Winter just not have enough mana in total to summon his ME pistol?
Not enough mana. Well...not enough mana to brute force it. Which is what he are doing now when it come to artifacts. Keep in mind he is a complete noob at this.

I now have the image that there are several high level planeswalkers covertly watching Winter and Mary hash it out, taking bets on who the winner will be, laughing at all the noob mistakes both are making.

One planeswalker has bet: Neither wins, they fall in love. It's 1.6 million to 1 odds, but the payoff would be huge.

Uh, no. Planeswalkers are inherently super-legendary. It works off their type, not their name, so unlike non-planeswalkers, there can only be one Ajani, even if one of them is Ajani Whitemane and the other's Ajani Vengant.
Nah, CKirk is right; they announced it this past Monday, with the rules change taking effect on the date of the M14 Prerelease.

So I could have multiple types of Jace on the field at the same time, both under my control?
No, you can only have one planeswalker of a given type under YOUR control. Each player can control one Jace, but no one player can control two. Same thing will apply for legendary permanents. If a second planeswalker enters play under your control, you must choose one of them to go poof and go to the graveyard.

Edit: Here is the official writeup on the rule changes.

Go read the very last line of the chapter previous to this last one. It is directly stated by Winter that he can't get the Essence of Glorificus because he doesn't have enough red mana. Just like his pistol. He literally states that in the story itself. It doesn't matter if summoning the pistol is "colorless" or not because he needs a certain amount of red mana in order to attune it. In this case he needs, at the very least, 3 red mana (or more) in order to summon a carnifex hand cannon.

If the Pistol Essence takes Red to gather, does that mean here that Arifacts and Equipment aren't colourless?

They are. He just dont have the mana, Period.

The raven went in to land at the Stark camp and a guard rushed up as I dismissed the raven and saddle "My Lord. The King of The North left standing orders that he wished to see you as soon as you returned."

I stretched and yawned. Two days of flying, only landing to eat and sleep at night; I was hardly in the mood for anything but finding a bed, but I shook my head.

"Very well. Take me to him." I said before I followed the guard to the Stark command tent.

Robb Stark was already waiting by the time I arrived, "Winter," he started. "Did you find what you were looking for?"

I nodded. "Yes, I believe I did. How long was I gone? Where I was, time is not exactly like it is here."

He gave me a strange look. "How can time be different? You were gone a week."

I hmmed and nodded.

Assuming the trip through the Blind Eternities didn't take any time, that was a seven to one time compression. Not as bad as I feared at first, but still, insufficient data.

No, wait...five to one. I spent two days traveling.

"Well, Either way, I am back now. Any news from King's Landing?" I asked and he shook his head.

"Without the raven scouts, finding information have been slower." Robb answered and I nodded.

"I'll make sure the riders have a raven so they can have a new look. We should hold position until they do, though." I said and then turned to walk out. "I need rest, it was a long ride."

On my way to my tent I went to find one of the raven riders and summoned a raven and saddle for him before I walked to my tent.

I entered and looked around, eyeing the bed. The place looked exactly like I left it...and that bed looked mighty inviting right now.

I hesitated for a moment before I grimaced. I needed to push things forward. The sooner I summoned the Slayers, the sooner they could start training, getting used to riding horses and such.

I doubted that came as a part of the package.

Closing my eyes I stepped back and focused on the Slayer essence. White and Red...a good amount too. About a tenth of each land to one Slayer. In theory I could summon twenty in total, but I had different plans for that second red land.

Ten it would have to be then. The Angels would outnumber them, but hopefully the slayers' adaptation and skill would beat pure power once again.

I took a slow breath and channeled the mana precisely. Never having summoned a dual mana creature before I did not want to mess up, especially as I was summoning sophonts.

The Red and White mana flowed through the spell control matrix of the gathered essence and I forged it in my mind.

Ten seconds after I started I opened my eyes.

There were ten Slayers in my tent, looking around.

Then I realized something and quickly turned around before I got myself killed. I summoned ten Slayers.

Not ten 'Dressed' Slayers. The essence only includes the creature, not what it is wearing!

"Did you plan this?" A voice behind me and to the right asked and I quickly shook my head before another voice to the left added in "Well, he better not have! Summoner or not, I will kick his ass!"

"Well, I don't really mind that much," another voice added in before a fourth spoke up. "Well? Why are you still standing there!? Get us some clothes!"

I almost ran out of the tent.

The guards outside gave me a strange look as I froze and facepalmed. What kind of Planeswalker gets ordered around by his own damn summons?

As I heard a feminine laugh from inside the tent I sighed. The ones that wish to live, that's who. ..And Buffy better never hear about this. She would never let me live it down.

I turned to the guard. "Go get a seamstress and send her into my tent. She has some work to do there... tell her to let them pick their own styles" The order given, I wandered off to find myself somewhere else to sleep.

Something told me that my tent was no longer my tent.

One Slayer I could handle...Two...sure.

Ten?

Even Planeswalkers know when they are beaten. Maybe I should have gone for the thresher maw?

AN// Big thanks to Teebs for betaing this part.

The Thresher Maw is useful as a WMD, actually, let it loose in a enemy city and watch them cry tears of impotent rage.

Oh, and scream in terror. I think thats vastly more important or was it die running and tired?

Nice update. However... Are you sure this was a good idea? I mean... Slayer against Angel had some rather mixed results in BTVS, you know.

Not just any harem. Comparatively, Hiver's (virgin no less!) slayers would probably be likened to the finest girls in the most opulent pleasure houses in King's Landing.

In the middle of an army of thousands of guys with a lot of time on their hands, for whom the concepts of raping and pillaging are... distressingly common.

Yeah. This is NOT going to end well.
Maybe the Slayers Of Ten can show off their combat prowess using swords, pikes and halberds with shields... after they are properly attired in their leather armoured accoutrements & pants

The standard misleading warning applies: "Do not mess with them, you will regret it" meaning they will rip your arms out of their sockets and beat you with them if you misbehave, not a threat by the person giving the warning.

No I got it right he was in Sunnydale 1 day, 5 five days passed in Westeros. So if he spends five years in Westeros while waiting for the Slayers to become real/corporeal then returns to BtVSverse only one year will have passed in Sunnydale since he collected the Slayer essence. By my calculations that should put him just at the tail end of the whole Warren/Darth Rosenburg thing; just before the First started killing off Potentials.
I was agreeing with you.

Why is he afraid of his summons? He has control over them if they fuck with him he can stop them with a mere application of will. Did he turn pansy all of a sudden?
I'm thinking it's more like an irrational fear response. Plus, they're slayers. Would you press your luck in that situation?

Arimai said:
Exactly. Although in a much more. . . colourful language.
Indeed, but most civilians don't handle "Colorful language" well, which is why I left it out. I assume it's a side-effect due to them having their heads so far up their asses that they're practically armored by their torsos. :shrugs:

Anyways, dropping this now as it's going offtopic.:p

The discussion is beginning to hit creeper levels. Can we quit talking about sexualized Slayers, please?
