The Life of a Half-Saiyan (Thread1) (DBZ)

You know all I can think about right now is, What's going through Gero's head right about now?

I just have a feeling that every time he makes progress , he just looks through his spy-bots at the BULLSHIT Goku's little boys are pulling.

What even is power scaling anymore?

I don't know!
*sobs*

Still, I've got the bugger now. he can't crit his way out of a 2K progress bar.

Just... I sort of wanna see the reactions from the Z fighters and King Kai. 3 years old and a SS3 and whatever Gossard currently is. Just... Give em til they're 7 and I don't think anyone in the galaxy could match them. Intergalactic Saiyan Empire with Vegeta as their manservant.

Legendary Saiyan
or
Almost-Super Saiyan
or
False Super Gossard (FSS g2)

Wait so for Gohan it's going to be:
1. Base
2. Super Saiyan (Base x50)
2a. Super Saiyan Grade 2 (Base x75)
2b. Super Saiyan Grade 3 (Base x100, speed drop)
3. Ascended Super Saiyan (Canon Super Saiyan 3 / Determination) (Base x200)
4. Ultimate Super Saiyan (Canon Super Saiyan 2 / Cold Fury) (Base x 400)

Did I get that right? @lordchaos99

Grade3 is a variable form, the Just-Got-It form is x100 -25DEX

Ultimate Super Saiyan is still Base x 100, but having both Ascended and Ultimate auto-unlocks Perfect Super Saiyan, which is x400.
Note: Super Saiyan 3 is never shown in canon, only Perfect Super Saiyan. It's basically just SS3 with less electricity though, hair is a few shades closer to gold.

@lordchaos99 If Gossard got his forms in the opposite order would his Cold Fury be the one called Ascended Super Saiyan? Or is SSJ2 always called Ultimate Super Saiyan in this Quest? In which case the naming would be:
1. Super Saiyan (SSJ1) [Base x50]
2. Ultimate Super Saiyan (SSJ2) [Base x100]
3. Ascended Super Saiyan (looks like canon SSJ3 minus lightning) [Base x200]
4. Perfect Super Saiyan (SSJ3) [Base x400]

Whichever had come first would be Ascended.

T'be fair, I don't think Vegeta has a lot of context for the different kinds of Super Saiyan. One blond should be as good as another so far as he's considered, especially since he doesn't know how to ki-sense without a scouter yet.

Discovering Gossard's the Legendary might give him some pause, though. Come to think of it, he might take that as an indication Earth's destined to become the new Saiyan planet.

That aside, guys, I think we should stop powering up. Somehow it inevitably ends with Gohan becoming ludicrous.

I think I am getting grades and numbers mixed. So is Gohan is SSJ3, or is he SSJ1 grade 3 aka Trunk' s overly bulky form against Cell?

So we failed to find out it's gohan. But Gohan crit his survival roll....

All Hail Gohan! The Life of a Half Saiyan's Goku!

SS3. Just look at the hair and those eyebrows.

Hm I want to get Cold Fury before Determination then, since aesthetically SSJ2 seems to fit Ascended Better, with Ultimate for the form QM invented (Base x200; Super Saiyan x4; looks like SSJ3 minus lightning), and Perfect Super Saiyan for canon SSJ3.

He's a slightly gimped SSJ3 without the passive benefit of having SSJ2. He also seems to have acquired some skill in the Grades of 1 as well, but that's not the big deal at the moment.

Gohan gets an original form the QM made for this Quest, it looks like SSJ3 minus lightning and the modifier is Base x200 [Super Saiyan x 4]

Not really an original form, just nitpicking the 'long hair and eyeridge' from the 'lightning'

Meh, still calling it ssj3. Trying to make up different names for the same form can only end in despair. Maybe something like incomplete ss3?
Heh, Thinking the true HERO of the quest can fail.

SS3 without SS2, so yeah incomplete works.
And um, he does? I have the rolls for the next update. Gossard goes False grade2 (x1.5) and Gohan loses.

btw Im working on Daecl's request now, a consolidated info list on transformations and sparks.

Ah, too bad.

Guess, we better hope we succeed in figuring things out I suppose.

Still, at least we unlocked some new forms.

And Gottex just pouts at him and he snaps out of it? Wasn't grade 2 one of the spoilers ones?

This is getting ridiculous!! Don't get me wrong I liked that gohan critted himself in ss3 and that we are the Vegeta of the situation. It's refreshing to have the protagonist with the obvious advantages trying and failing to beat the "normal" npc brother, but then I remember that they are 3 years old and my instinctive reaction is that no matter how genius and talented they are, I just can't take infants with the power to destroy a solar system seriously.

But it happened in canon? Baby Trunks and Gotenks could theoretically do it too?

I'd ask what the hell has Bulma been feeding her kids with. But the answer is obviously EVERYTHING.
And this is why in the canon timeline, even if Vegeta never really becomes stronger than Goku he has still 'won' the dragonball universe by acquiring those sweet sweet genetics for the Saiyan royal line.

That aside I've been wondering something, if Orange form makes us trip balls and we can eventually combine it with the GREEN does that mean that when we do it that the ENTIRE hive-mind is going to go on a trip worthy of Popo? because the thought of millions upon millions of crazy green energy fireflies (and Broly) suddenly getting ridiculously high is funny to me.

Gotenks was the Fusion, you are thinking of Goten

Didn't Goten become a Super Saiyan before he could remember? Which given his age at the time he said that (~8 ish?) means it was around now or before that he hit Super Saiyan 1. Without any major training or big emotional whammies like right now or during Gossard's first Legendary Rampage.
Assuming Gohan's canon Power Level at age four untransformed and without a rage boost (700). That is 35,000. Or slightly less than twice Vegeta when he tried to destroy Earth. And Goten is rather more powerful than that, given Gotenks SS3 faced down Super Buu.

It's hilarious but yeah. I try to be serious*, but the dice!

*4th wall breaks aside

The hivemind is you and Broly. Everything else is just both subconsciouses magnified and echoes of the past.
But yes, Mythical Saiyan is a Hivetrip.

What happened in canon? Goten and Trunks didn't fuse for the first time until they were eight and nine respectively. That's older than both the wonder twins put together.

Not to mention people were basically calling in-universe bullshit on that at the time anyway.

Ah yeah. My bad.

Anyway yeah, Trunks from memory goes super Saiyan because the Gravity was too much when he was training with his dad. He was pretty young then. Goten transforms even before then. So the proof is there that young half saiyans are completely bullshit.

It just kicked in quicker with Gossard and Gohan this time around.

I might suggest using bigger dice for certain big things than d10s. 5% is half as common as 10%. Alternatively, par down the rewards granted by a crit. Or something.

At this rate I'm just worried we'll be out of possible accomplishments by age 18, we're galloping up the stairs so quick.
