Yeah, Endless Night is one of Christie's more obscure books. Probably because it came out in the 60s, well after her heyday. That and it's one of her darker stories, which says something about an author who wrote mostly about murder.
For those who don't know, La Cravate aka Les tetes interverties (The Severed Heads) is a 50s short film that was Alejandro Jodorowsky's directing and acting debut. And it's all in mime too.
I wanted to commission something of Jodorowsky's after Leila shot down the documentary on his attempted Dune movie. I went with La Cravate over El Topo (Lennon's favourite movie), Holy Mountain, The Incal, or Sancta Sangre as its short length made it cheaper to commission, and it's pretty easy to find on YouTube (where it ended up on a Mario playlist for some reason):
While it's a lot less intense than Jodorowsky's later works (which says a lot given it's titled The Severed Heads), his surreal, carnivalesque atmosphere is already firmly established
