You mean we can't just solve the issue by becoming strong enough to punch arrows from the sky?

Sadly no.You mean we can't just solve the issue by becoming strong enough to punch arrows from the sky?
I still need a shogun/emperorI could make a different claim and let Theravis have the Date all on their lonesome though, I'm not particularly attached to the idea yet. I could go with something different like a guy who's particular attached to explosions or something.
I'll throw together a claim for the Shogun in the morning then. Shogun Ashikaga Vinny.

Emperor Kamina?
I actually joked that Sid would totally do Kamina as Shogun in PM.
I'll take it if its still unfilled by anyone who wants to be the Emperor.
YesI'll take it if its still unfilled by anyone who wants to be the Emperor.
I meant if no-one else comes forward at a later date.
Thank you!I'll throw together a claim for the Shogun in the morning then. Shogun Ashikaga Vinny.
We also need an Emperor and i'm pretty sure past experience has shown i lack the subtlety required to pull that off effectively.
@Wade Garrett @Mina you both tend to be interested in this sort of thing, right?
Fortunately the Mongols kind of swept away any chance of the OT occurring, meaning its basically a bunch of clans of various means involved in a war between the Shogun (Holy Roman Emperor) and the Emperor (Pope). Anything beyond that is pretty much open to people's own thoughts.I appreciate the heads up but my relationship with these "Real Life" settings is hit or miss, I've complained about Tolkien and GRRM having appendices to their appendices of key information about the setting but whoever wrote this RL stuff takes the cake.

I mean, the Oda have popped up on the other side of Japan and we have a bunch of horse nomads living on an island somewhere.

Mine comes from Sengoku Basara so you at least have one source more than me. But yeah, your choice. When I say "Clueless" I mean what I know about this era and location is what can be learned from watching Ninja Scroll and Shinobi: Heart Under Blade.
So...yeeeeaaah.
In general terms, you hold an unbroken dynasty (officially speaking) reaching all the way to the first emperor who in turn is descended from the sun. Your head military official, the Shogun claims his authority from your blessing, like the Holy Roman Emperor required the Popes blessing. However seeing that the Shogun was also the most powerful man in Japan and controlled the biggest army, this was rarely an issue..
