The Land of the Red Fraction - An Arthurverse Tale - Claims and Discussion Thread

I don't know why you're so bothered at the prospect of Sengoku Jidai, Oda Nobunaga-San?

So long as i'm left to my mountains and my requirement of riding two horses by standing on their backs, i'm fine with whatever result.
Don't get me wrong, Nobunaga can't wait for bloodshed.
The urge to restore the Minamoto to the Shogunate intensifies...
For the Shogun! If Japan doesn't become a land of death, its because he isn't trying hard enough.
Don't make me bring in my wife who may or may not be either a Snow Maiden or a peasant woman who had a thing for scruffy looking mountain bandits down on your heads.

Though give me the right to set up tolls on my road and i'll probably be satisfied.
Will you help us murder people violently? Cause my sword, that many people say is cursed would like that.

Sure someone drew an eye on it, doesn't make it a cursed sword thirsty for blood.
Im raiding you first
Next thing in the news, Pirates somehow drag pirate ship to attack mountain ninjas.

I'm not a Ninja. I'm the frigging Takeda!
Which somehow means at some point in another timeline i'd figure out cavalry charges.

Also i'll help whoever gives me the proper respect. Just like any egomaniac would in his isolated valley. Even if they appear to be wielding a cursed sword forged from Hell itself.

Still waiting for you (and everyone else) to guess the reference for the Oda Clan sword.

You were saying:lol:rofl:
Double Shit since my capital is on the coast.

Soul Edge?

Don't bother looking for references to mine.

#Original Character, Do not steal
Congratulations. You win a gold star.

Yep, Tamashī-en, when translated to English means Soul Edge. Outside of the name and eye, that's it really. Since Japan has always had a history of sentient items and blood thirsty weapons I couldn't resist. Is it really cursed, probably not, but people would prefer to blame a sword for a clan of aggressive psychopaths rather then any natural or nurture causes.

Will go through claims tomorrow morning. Please have them fully formulated and with a map by then

Alright, settled on the Uesugi, cuz I want options.

And fabulous bishie Bishomenten worship.

Gonna write up soonish.

I guess I should do the manly thing and just go Ashikaga.

Nothing says "I'm the Shogun" like a guy wielding six swords in his hands.

Claim: The Ashikaga Shogunate
Shogun: Ashikaga Yoshiteru
Expected Heir: Ashikaga Yoshihisa
History:

When the Mongols invaded, the Ashikaga wound up leading the resistance after the old Hojo Shoguns met a series of unfortunate accidents involving several suicides, a lynching or three, a couple of murders, and their ultimate overthrow, and would assume the position of Shoguns after successfully ejecting the Mongols from most of Japan. Establishing themselves in Osaka, which was vacant after the Mongols were removed, the Ashikaga have since been involved in a struggle for power with the Imperial clan as well as making constant efforts to extend Imperial rule across the length and breadth of Japan once more.

Oh and the current Shogun once stabbed a dozen swords into two mats and thus became the first person to wield a dozen swords at once, honest.

Map:

The Osaka Region, I can't do a map yet.
