The House of Twilight [Destiny Nation Builder Quest]

There's probably at least one among all the humans from the Cassini fleet. Most guardians seem to be from before the collapse.

Probably isn't 'assuredly' and 'they will die shortly and totally resurrect on our side for us to utilize and study'.

And it isn't probable at all that the Ghosts will pick one from our fleet given there's billions of human corpses out there, plenty of them from before the collapse out there that haven't been rezzed.

So you're ignoring the fact I pointed out that each ghost has a specific person to find and not just any random person with light in them?

Also what more do you want? I already agreed to support keeping the dude alive.

Well, with our luck on random events, and the fact someone had to give birth to Crota and her kin, because I didn't see any ovaries on Onyx ... plus with him seeming to be the type to want to spread his genes, I would bet he desires having a bun in the oven for his wife and/or concubine whenever possible.

The player character's ghost flat out says it was looking for them. Not just any corpse of someone able to wield the light but the player character.

I missed the support but the argument was that it was extremely unlikely to the point of not being worth considering save as a happy random event to get one of the humans on our side being turned into a Guardian.

You then went 'It's not that unlikely' in the face of billions of corpses around the solar system and are now going 'Each Ghost has a specific person' which has nothing to do with the odds of that specific person being on our damn space station! Which are fucking minute!

The player character's ghost flat out says it was looking for them. Not just any corpse of someone able to wield the light but the player character.

Where does it say we have player characters on our station? Where? Which ones will be resurrected if they fall?

It could be none of them are tagged for being given ghosts and all the ones that died instead of being cryo'd are selected for a certain order of revival.

Or maybe we'll get a guardian out of each one that falls! We don't know, we can't know. It's probably going to be decided on a random roll like a certain number on a d1000. Something not worth really counting on.

So ... looks like we'll be meeting with Onyx's wife then. ... let us hope she doesn't go into labor onboard.

When did we veer into Pokemon and why are you referring to Crota as a female? Also, what the actual fuck are you talking about, because I am so confused.

@Asmodemus I was just trying to point out that there are criteria for people to become guardians. One their ghost has to find their corpse. Two they need to be able of wielding the light. So the odds aren't as high as you are saying they are.

But yes using that logic it is something not worth counting on.

I apologize for the lack of coherency of my argument. In the future I will try to be more clear.

I never intended to argue that there were high odds that out of the billions of humans in the solar system dead or alive that one with the potential to be a guardian was among our group.

EDIT: I was thinking of a much smaller number. Like ten to thirty thousand. Which now that I think about it is still extreme odds considering how big space is.

To put it bluntly, we know about the Tyrant King, but where there is a king, there is a queen. I am saying I wouldn't be surprised if we meet face, to face/whatever she uses to communicate, with Crota's mother.

Anyone else up for voting for capturing the Guardian, his Ghost and using them as a research asset/potential other kind of asset instead of a quick and easy return to death and slight potential morale boost?

Okay, apparently this quest loves throwing random encounters of the dangerous kind at us...
