The House of Twilight [Destiny Nation Builder Quest]

Question, do you want to make sure he is dead permanently (destroying the Ghost) or do you want to isolate the Ghost and chain the Guardian up?
We want him dead.

We can research Ghosts later. We have a dead one already. We do NOT need to have an imprisoned Guardian in our station, with a Ghost that isn't dead. That is a security risk that we cannot condone. Not when the Ghost and Guardian are both whole-hearted child-murderers.

Mercy, experimentation, research, all of that high-minded stuff, all of that can be done more safely. No. These two die here and now.

Thinking about yeah I have to agree with that.

So my vote is for dead.

Does 'Young' mean 'unable to fight at all'? Did they have weaponry?

No it quite literally can't.

We won't get this kind of opportunity again. A newly risen Guardian, without access to their greatest powers, their backup, their loads of purloined equipment, just the most basic of gear and a Ghost, in the heart of our power instead of some random ass backwater outpost.

This is the biggest fucking opportunity for studying Guardians dropped into our laps we could pray for short one of our allied humans having a heart attack then being revived moments later by a Ghost.

A human from our group resurrecting as a ghost isn't that far out there.

Also it was a kretch. You know the place where we raise our children?

How long until that happens though? (I assume you mean Guardian)

There are billions of human corpses strewn throughout the system and how many Guardians? How many Ghosts?

It's like tossing a winning lottery ticket away since you have a good feeling about a handful of others to win the mega jackpot.

EDIT:
The roll result for the event was 'Holy Shit', does that sound like it's gonna happen every other turn?

Okay, doing the resource rolls...

EDIT: Well, looks like Uranus doesn't have any accessible deposits of Helium Coils...Also we still need the 'Worse' rolls and the Random Rolls...

There used to be a ton of guardians before the war with the hive and Crota wiped most of them out. Enough that they had an actually army that could match the hive in battle.

Fire teams were implemented after that battle/war because of the casualties they took. So it happening this early on isn't that out there.

[x] Capture the guardian is feasible, and contain him in a cryopod for the foreseeable future. Isolate the Ghost for future study.

Ghosts aren't things to be destroyed lightly.

The odds are long: All the dead of Old Earth are their's for the picking. I doubt many of them will trudge beyond the Light on the off chance of finding a compatible human among the Jovians instead of the figurative scads of potential that the Inner System has.

Why this Ghost is so far from Earth and how it got in Cassini in the first place are questions we need answered, the latter even more so.

People say that having the Guardian and Ghost is a security threat? However that Ghost got here might be an even bigger one.

How many? Thousands? Millions? Billions?

We have a limited amount of humans and most were cryogenically frozen and ready for a colonization mission in space, at the primes of their lives.

We aren't getting a Guardian from them anytime soon unless we somehow force the issue.

They have sharp teeth and claws. They can climb up walls and cling onto ceilings like ambush predators. Even baby Eliksni can be a threat to an unsuspecting human.

Mmm. Not toting weaponry though? ..Eh. We don't have to work with the guy, just do horrific medical experiments on.

Tens of thousands of Guardians - let's say one hundred thousand at the max.

The number of dead humans in the Sol System is probably in excess of ten billion.

We have six thousand humans living with us.

Those odds are legitimately longer then the lottery.

I'm pretty sure that not just any human with light will do. It's always been refereed to as their guardian.

As in one unique person out there.

However I support taking them alive only if we kill them after we figure out what's going on.

Also no need to do horrifying medical experiments on them. They're not that different from normal humans physical. It's all light empowerment that gives them their abilities.

I will be rather cross if people choose to kill him out of spite and revenge instead of a desire for keeping the station secure or other somewhat reasonable reasons. Though I prefer looking at the opportunities before us and taking it, so long as the reasons are acceptable I'm okay with it. Not just cause "CHILDKILLER DIESSS!", like our species doesn't murder kids cause 'Warriors!' culture.

And you can guarantee that the one unique person out there with the Light is among our fleet and will be resurrected within twenty turns?

Cause your argument makes zero sense against what we've been saying otherwise.

There's probably at least one among all the humans from the Cassini fleet. Most guardians seem to be from before the collapse.

And by the fleet I mean the whole fleet.
